Somehow I got one of these a few weeks ago without having heard anything about it. I knew from your channel that Close-focus adaptors were handy, and I'd heard that LLL were high quality, so I decided that it was time to get one.
It's very beautiful, and fastens more confidently than my Novoflex adaptor. I'm keeping the Novoflex for the 35mmF2.5 and backup, but will be using the LLL with the 35mm Nokton II or any heaviier lenses irrespective of whether I need close focus.

I have 2 Voightlander Leica M to NEX adapters , and have had them for nearly a decade .... if Voightlander made an M to L mount adapter , that would be my first choice as my M to NEX are close focus with infinity lock and all brass and steel , superb quality.

I have the M to L, the R to L and the S to L. You should try the Leica S 120Macro on the Sl. Beautiful portrait lens

I’ll be looking at this new LLL adapter for sure as the 7Artisan copy I purchased was not able to mount on my SL2 and had to return it. One never has too many adapters. 😊

Just wondering if you've done any direct comparison between the Summitar and the very similar Summarit. The Summitar is my sentimental favorite because it came with my parents Leica IIIc they allowed me to use as my first serious camera. It was quite flare prone but IQ seemed fine.
I own both, Summarit is sharper at wider apertures but gives a sharp soft look wide open
Feeding the algorithm. I just dropped 250 bucks for a bronica waist level finder. I was annoyed till I priced hassy glass.
Hassy focus screens are crazy expensive!
@@MattOsborne-MrLeicaCom i was installing the waist level finder. And the darn focus screen fell out. I think this particular bronica sqb is cursed. The speed grip fell out of my hand and bent the winding lever. Topping it off a plastic lever broke off in transit.
I love my etr and gs-1 but this 6x6 sqb is frustrating me.

This may be a stupid question but when using non-Leica class on an M10 how imperative is it to manually set a lens up in the "lens detection" menu in the camera? I do it with my non-coded vintage Leica glass but I've recently gotten an adapter for using some of my Canon FD glass on my M. Thanks in advance for your opinion and have a good weekend!
Not important, I normally have mine as off. ..but it would be nice to remember what lens I used.

I think the Fotodiox one works the same way as the LLL adapter for a little cheaper? But the inf lock tab on the LLL looks handy. I have a Fotodiox incoming soon. Hope inf works well.

@@MattOsborne-MrLeicaCom i see, does it go past inf or doesnt even reach inf? The Fotodiox close focus arrived and its nice but it can go past inf if twisted a touch too far. Does the LLL do that too?

Aber Unendlichkeit funktioniert in dem Fall nichtß Ich nutz zum Beispiel auch einen Helicoid für M42 Objektive normal kann ich es ja auch an der M240 nutzen Adapter LM/M42 zusätzlich Helicoid jedoch nur im Nahbereich😉 Ich weiß nicht wie daa bei dem Adapter ist was Du gezeigt hast. Mega Video wie immer Matt.

Thanks, some adapters can work to infinity too like the LLL which is much better.
@@MattOsborne-MrLeicaCom the normal adapters from M42/LM and Exa/LM work at infinity on the M240, but not the Helicoid as they are only intended for close-up or macro use.

You have a defective close-up adapter, my adapter works on infinity. Of course, you lose the benefits of the in-camera correction with 6bit-coded lenses by not using the Leica adapter.
Mine is fine (7artisan). Same as leica18771 which is slightly over infinite.
My 7 Artisan adapter also focuses to infinity on my SL 601. I wouldn’t give it up for a LLL that doesn’t focus as close.
Interesting. It almost works at infinity. I don’t use lens corrections
may sound silly, but there's no Adapter M-Mount to M-mount, giving close focus on M-lenses on M-rangefinder cameras (may it at cost of no infinity focus), or is there?
No sorry, see my Leica close focus adapters video. (You can do M-M for very macro/ no infinity)
In theory using an adapter. I should be able to use this on any L mount cameras? For example BMPCC 6k Full Frame?

If they can make an auto focus adapter for m lenses on sony bodies, why can we have an auto Fuchs adapter for m lenses on L mount ????
Yes no AF adapters for L mount yet (I think) LLL are more traditional quality brass and glass products.
Matt, can you still use the top wheels on the CL to bring up the magnification with the new adapter? Thanks
No for non-Leica adapters you need to use the top arrow instead (on the back)

there are no M-L Leica adapters in the world for sale. So using ithers wont give your L camera any information
Some M-LTM adapters are coded if that’s what you mean?
..Leica M-L adapters are the normal coded ones
