I accidentally shoved the guy off a ledge with my throwing weapon... And the last save my mate and I had was before a boss fight. :')
It sucks, but I suppose we're lucky we had our wizard using a lightning charge focused build and not an ice one.

It depends on the character who combines it, staff for mage/Gale, mace for priest/Shadowheart ...

If that drow survived the battle and left with Dhourn (or is that Dhourn?) ... is there another way to get the Helve?

how do you craft things? I can't right click craft in my bg3?

Only craft-able options have the option to be combined with something else. If you're not seeing the option for the three pieces, then you are probably experiencing a bug; usually caused due to mods active, or leftover files when updating the game.
