- Ghee has been around for thousands of years and it's one of the most healing and nourishing things on Earth. Did you know that it's the same thing as the high vitamin butter oil that Weston A. Price was giving to his patients with tooth cavities? Ghee can be way too expensive if you buy it from a health store, but if you make it yourself at home using grass-fed butter, it will cost you a fraction of the price. Once you taste the rich, nutty ghee, you'll start thinking that regular butter tastes bland. So let's get cooking!

- pot
- strainer + kitchen paper/cheesecloth (optional)
- 2 sticks of butter
Melt the butter, reduce to low fire, cook for 40 minutes. When it melts you will see a lot of foam after 5 minutes. Take the foam away, continue during the 40 minutes. It will make less and less bubbles. Every minute it will become clearer and clearer.
Strain ghee trough the cloth into a clean jar.
I found your video years ago when I was told to eat Ghee. I never liked the taste of store-bought though. 😝 When I made my own from watching your tutorial I couldn’t get enough of it so good 😃 Over the years I went back to butter and now going back to ghee for the health benefits. It took me a while to find this video again. Using others videos I overdid my butter and it turned into a brown butter. Yours is the BEST video out there for both information about what it does for you AND how to make it. Thanks so much. Now I downloaded the video so I will always know where it is🥰
We Indians have been eating ghee for centuries, very delicious in dhal
Yes, you've don well! xx
Yep ghee is good for digestion and good for thyroid ☺
Thanks Vita! I'm going to make this tonight :) I'm fighting breast cancer (at 35!) and though I thought I was healthy before, I am making tons of changes towards a natural, organic lifestyle. You have helped a bunch!
I'm so happy to have helped! You know, vitamin K2 that ghee has is also anti-cancer, just like butyric acid. So it's an excellent staple to have in your kitchen. My sister had lymphoma at 34! But going all natural has defeated it. Good luck in your journey! xx
Hi, have you ever heard of Rene Cassie and ESSIAC? Perhaps helpful..
flax seed oil eradicates bc. Graviola is an extremely powerful anti carcinogenic. Did your dr. give you the greek test? Also, Curcumin (not just tumeric) but CURCUMIN, derived from tumeric will turn on the cancer cells apoptosis.

As always, authentic video!

Ghee smells like pee
Not even close to my nose. Smells like sweeter butter.
Thanks for the information and video
Thank You So Much for your Great Video ❤️
Great information.
Aww ! My grandma use to store the butter like this during the winter time 😊
Great video Thanks !
Thanks for the tutorial!!
+Verious Smith III You're very welcome! 💗
I just bought this, and I didn't see your video until after I purchased it. I'm so excited to try it. I read that it can help with acne due to the active vitamin A that has. I can't ingest butter due to the casein and lactose. Thank you for your videos!
Next time you can make your own! ;-) Yes, I believe it does keep skin healthy and radiant because it nourishes the whole body. xx
As indians ghee has been passed down from generations to generations so glad others are finding benefits out of ghee. Our vedic health care teachings and way of life is a blessing from our God's. Gratitude to our gods for showing us the way to live a healthy life. Lord Dhanvantari the first doctor to walk the surface of the earth
The benefits really interested me! I will be trying this soon, thank you! :)
I hope you'll love it as much as I do! xx

Excellent video
Thank you so much!! I have recently started cooking with Ghee and I have fallen in love with it! It's nice to know I can save money and make it at home. :)
+Deirdre Harrington You're very welcome! 💗
Been doing this for about a month or so. Not clear anymore cause its cooled off and solidified, but it IS soft. I have been using it for frying veggies and meat. I like the higher smoke point. Will have to try it on potatoes and porridge. Am thinking of mixing fresh Oregano when I can get it.
ghee, ayurveda & indian shampoo!!
so glad ppl r liking & adapting our indian ways.:)
payal k Absolutely! Ayurveda is so old and so incredibly wise. India is full of treasures of knowledge. I hope I'll have a chance to visit one day. xx
VitaLivesFree yes please do😊
Ghee has been used around the world as well it’s not an indian only thing. All over europe. Just under different names.
@Native Highlander then why is it called Ghee all over the world. It's a Sanskrit word.?!!
Oo enu asi desi ghyu bolde aa
I found a blend of organic grass fed coconut oil (virgin) and ghee. My biggest problem of the past was deciding which one to cook with since I love both. The problem is solved with the blend of both. Now I get double the benefits in one container.
Sounds lovely! xx
Is really that simple? I definitely will try! Thanks

Thank you,love gee.
I love your videos! What is the best butter to use? thank you very much. I send a Big hug to you!! Maria
Butter from grassfed cows, whichever brand you have available in your country. I personally use Kerry Gold. xx
Very good ghee an parsad
Thanks so much for sharing this information. My husband & I love cooking with ghee, but ran out of our store bought jar some time ago. I'm absolutely going to use this method so we can make our own. :) As always, I'm looking forward to the upcoming videos you mentioned.
Working on them! :-) xx
Love it with oatmeal...yum.
Me too! So good!
Thank you.😽💫🐾
Hi Vita, very interesting film, I did not know that ghee is source of vit. K2! I use ghee next to the coconut oil to make hot dishes. These two and olive oil are my best fats in the kitchen. Ghee as 'clarified butter' is available in Polish supermarkets in quite good price (about 4 EUR for 500 g). Some time ago I went paleo diet and stopped eating oatmeal that I have really liked. Now I'm not on a paleo diet but I do not eat gluten, I wonder about returning to oatmeal and porridge, I look forward to your film about the porridge, I hope that it will encourage me to return to it. Best wishes from Poland!Gosia:)
Yup, I didn't eat porridge for a year when I was on the Paleo diet. I don't even know how I survived because it's such a staple for me. Still working on that video. Hopefully, soon it will be ready! xx
👍Thank you. 💞
Can't wait to try it, and you are very beautiful by the way.
Thank you so much! ❤️
Ghee is delicious! I started preparing it last year and my son asks for it frequently when we cook.
Delicious and extremely nutritious! Your son is lucky. ;-) xx

I loved this video Vita, so we'll made and informative. I love ghee too and also make my own, so delicious.
Glad you like it! I put a lot of love into it. :-) xx
VitaLivesFree ya In india almost in every house mom make this and its free
its also called Clarified Butter
anyone can make it with milk that u buy everyday....
@@ramkumar-mm2jl nope. clarified butter is golden and clear once youve skimmed away the solids as they rose to the top. Ghee is the product of a longer cook, in which the solids eventually burn and sink, dark brown, the remaining product, a warm, clear, brown with a slightly nutty flavor. check it out. if to strong, scent or flavor, ...your next cook, once seperation begins add 2 medium, whole, onions. Yes! Ghee is awesome. 💖

ghee is made from milk thats fermented and then cream is lifted and churned into butter. butter straight unfermented into buttermilk, skips an important step.
Very true! If you can get raw cream or butter cream made from raw cream, of course it's so much better. But most of us don't have access to it. xx
Thanks I don’t won’t trans fat so I meet to cook slow and easy, I don’t use commercial oils
Great video. Very instructive. My only concern is when you said to apply ghee on burns.
As an ex firefighter in France, applying oil, or any fat, on a burn, can increase the damage of it. (If applied just after it, it will "increase" the cooking effect (or temperature) under the skin).
I suppose you was talking to apply ghee "after" the burn ? Or on the blister who results, well after it.
Many emergency doctors confirmed to me, in case of a burn, cold water is the best (between 15 to 20 min) under a trickle of water.
In ER, they use a water base gel on them also.
Anyway. Thank you for your video again. Hope my english was not too bad as a french. ;-)
Namaste.
Fred.
Yes, that's what I meant. At the beginning, the burn hurts so much that only putting it under cold running water helps. you're absolutely right. xx
Fred Brighton. Aloe vira on burns works best. Anti bacterial cream. Sea water. But never grease. Ur right.

Love this! It won’t be inflammatory for anyone with autoimmune issues right?
Not unless they are actually allergic to dairy. ❤️
This is my next project :)
Ghee is amazing. You're going to love it! 💗 xx
Thank you for great info! What is the healthiest brand of butter to use for this? If I want to make grass fed Ghee, what brand of butter would I use?
Kerrygold is almost completely grass-fed and is available worldwide. xx
Sing Your Style Studio if you want it to be healthy, the healthiest is the one prepared at home! 😊 trust me I'm Indian and no store brand matches the taste or the smell of the real thing😊
GREAT video!!!! Thank you !!!!! You're right...it's sooooo expensive in the store.
It is! That's why I really wanted to make this video. xx
One more question/comment...what is your Ayurvedic Dosha (if you know)? I'm wondering if you are a full, classic Vata type like me?
I'm quite an equal mix of vata and pitta, but this winter I've had more issues with vata because of super windy and dry weather, plus having to live with cold water. xx
Oh Ok. Thanks soooo much. LOVE your channel.
Thanks! Your comment made my day! xx
Really cool stuff in your channel. I'm wondering if making ghee like this is equal to ghee that we buy in the store... Because the butters we buy have so much garbage in it..
+Sergio Domingues Butter generally doesn't have anymore ingredients apart from cream. If you buy grass-fed butter, it's even better. Homemade ghee is just as good, if not better, than the store bought one. xx

I love this tutorial. Thank you very much for sharing this Ayurvedic remedy. PS Update: Just finished making this amazingly easy recipe with complete success!!! I can"t wait to have it on Ezekiel toast tomorrow morning with tea. Thank you again for not only teaching us how to make it, but also the wonderful health benefits derived from it. PPS Delectable!!!
So glad you enjoyed it! xx
I'm so happy you succeeded! I'm making a huge batch today as well because I got a ton of Kerrygold (it was on sale). I wish we had any Ezekiel bread or any sourdough bread here. I'm dying for some quality bread, but without electricity at home I can't make it. :-) Enjoy your toast! Thanks for coming back and giving me an update! xx

your an angel,
Hello ,Vita!
Thanks for helpfull video. I love all your videos! :) but i have question.
I cooking ghee today , from the beginning everything was fine, I took off the foam and he was clear and he was still on fire but then it became very dark. What I did wrong?:(
When melted, I fling adjustable on a low flame and then took off the foam, from beginning was a lot of foam and then it became clearer and clearer but still had a foam and then it is no longer make bubbles but there was still foam and it was still on fire and I took off the foam, I took of the flame and then it suddenly became very dark.
Please, help. How much time do you bowl it? And when you took of the flame?
Have a great day!
-Anna
Animal Jam TV I boil mine for 40 minutes on very low fire. In fact, my lowest fire is still too high, so I keep lifting the pot up to cool it down a little. You can also leave the foam in the pot and just move it a little to the side to check how the ghee is doing. Once the oily part becomes clear, it's ready. It sounds like your temperature was too high or you missed the exact moment when it became clear. Hope you'll make perfect ghee next time! It's all about low temperature and keeping an eye on it all the time. Good luck! :-) xx
Desi ghee used in consiption with ibs petients ?
Thank you for your video😊. Does it have to be unsalted butter? I bought Kerrygold salted and unsalted and melted them together, is that ok to do??
It needs to be unsalted butter. xx
+VitaLivesFree, Ghee is good but there is a difference between Ghee's made of different milk. The best Ghee is the the one that is made from the milk of A2 cows. Recent research shows that A2 cow milk is the only milk that a human body can actually digest. Unfortunately A2 cows are only available in India (they are the Indian cows with a hump on their back). Some western countries (Brazil and Australia) have in the last decade imported these cows and are breeding them for milk. Sad thing is, in India to produce more milk farmers and milk producers have been breeding A1 cows imported from Europe while neglecting the good old medicinal A2 cows of India.
That's very sad. Some of the breeds in Europe are A2 as well luckily. xx
www.vaidikmart.com/
Right 🥰
Thank you for sharing the organic style ..from wei38
This is probably obvious but, should I use unsalted butter?
Use the strained residue to mix with salt and pepper and mix with rice. It’s not a waste material, it’s protein. It tastes amazing with rice😊 Enjoy
That sounds delicious! Thank you for sharing.
Why would you make ghee if you are gonna eat the milk solids anyway? Huge waste of time.
Back home in my country we also use this oil and olive oil for cooking. We call Ghee, Roghan e zard, the yellow oil...quite obvious as it is lol... The olive oil I had back home has a strong smell to it and for the life of me I couldn't find that kina pure and virgin oil here in Canada. It is all processed and does not smell anything like the olive oil we get back home.
Very interesting! Thanks for sharing! I'm very lucky to have amazing olive oil here in Spain. Great quality olive oil smells like nothing else, and tastes even better.
I almost looks like you are boiling it. I've heard that it just needs to cook really low temp to melt, is this true? I also couldn't tell if you said 40 min or 4 min.? sorry. I've been putting off making this for pretty much no reason, but I need to make it because I have a really hard time with dairy and I know I would be able to eat this. Right now I use coconut oil and regular butter, but I just need to make this. Thanks for the video.
Yes, you need the lowest heat setting, but mine was still too high, so I was lifting it up from time to time. It's 40 minutes. There are more directions and pictures on my blog (link is in the description box of the video). xx
How do you use the foam
I've heard that in India it's often eaten with brown sugar. I personally simply discard it. xx
It's simply delicious. I'd eat even if it wasn't good for me 😜
+Merara Eleven I agree! ;-)
Guava Memories hehehe true!
Ve este vídeo, enterate como tener una vida saludable
I put it in my Coffee
You don't have to skim off the yellow foam. Those foam are water evaporating from cooking butter. At the end of cooking, let it sit and cool off. Later most of the foam will be clear.
Interesting! I'll try it next time.
So can you add herbs and spices to make it a flavored butter? This isn't a stupid question I promise. The reason I am asking is because I also live without a fridge and I don't want to risk it molding or developing anything unwanted
Thank you!!
Yes, of course. Traditional ghee often comes with herbs. xx
Good for cooking Briyani Rice or just Ghee Rice with Basmati Rice.
Yes, agreed! xx
Should we completely cool it before covering with lid?
I don't think it makes a difference. I usually cover it right away because I don't want my kitties to find it and lick it. :-)
Beautiful woman, beautiful accent
Thank you! ❤️
mix spoon of ghee with spoon lemon juice (morning, empty stomach half hour before breakfast)- magic pill for clear arteries.
I put it in my coffee.
Hello, thanks for the video, does it matter if the butter is salted or not? If salted would it get separated during the cooking process?
It should be unsalted, but I'm not sure what would happen if you tried to use salted butter, I've never tried it. xx
So do you take it by the table spoon for benefits or you use it in your cooking only
I use it for cooking only. But Ayurveda has plenty of remedies that contain ghee mixed with different herbs.
VitaLivesFree so I did make this those this get a bit thicker when sitting out? Or should it be oily
can I use an omega 3 butter ? the one with less cholesterol ?
There's nothing wrong with cholesterol in food. It's vital for manufacturing vitamin D and for producing hormones in the body. Also omega 3 butter and other butter replacements are highly processed and very far away from real, healthful food. xx
mweb1
Apparently, the limits on daily cholesterol from food have been officially lifted in 2014. Yet so many doctors and people aren't aware. Such a shame. xx
Ghee is used in India traditionally and I was surprised in 1990s there was a huge media campaign to switch to vegetable oil as apparently ghee was supposed to be poison for heart! We always wondered people in villages lived for 100 yrs eating ghee everyday and in good quantity n remained so strong atleast in North India. I understand now that it was all the lobying which was defaming humble ghee. Atleast my mom kept feeding us with home made ghee not heeding to any media campaigns. I think ghee is wonderful for growing children and once you are an adult, you can limit your intake but still use it consistently in limited quantities. Where u would use butter , use ghee instead like everywhere. It gives such a yummy taste to everything. I love toasting my bread with ghee and also in my omlette and the best is Potato Parantha! I also put ghee over any food to give it good taste like daal n also Chapatti You can have ghee n rice with Boora (sugar with water removed not sure whats it called in west), thats just awesome. Well, sugar is bad but once in a blue moon is fine!
Thanks so much for sharing your insight! Super interesting!
VitaLivesFree You're welcome 👍
I always gain weight when I eat butter for some days. Since ghee is made of butter wouldn't it increase the weight? Some people say that the ghee must be made out of cow milk and home made curd and otherwise it will not be as benificial. Is this true?
In excess, it will increase the weight. Also depending on the constitution, some people need and can eat more fats than others. We're all different. xx
I have heard that ghee tastes a lot different than ghee. How would you describe the taste of ghee compared to that of butter or even margarine? Thanks
It tastes very nutty, kind of like cookies, but without the sweetness. I love it! xx
Falmouth Farm the taste can't really be described! But it's delicious! Try making it with good unsalted butter on low flame, till the water content is gone. I'm sure you will love the taste. Store bought one tastes and smells terrible(we always have homemade ghee so I realise it even more)
how much should i eat per day..how many teaspoons is advisable. Is 2 tablespoon per day allowed?
Whatever feels comfortable for you. Just listen to your body. I don't restrict myself in any way. If I feel that I need ghee or butter, I eat it. 2 tablespoons isn't too much if that's what your body needs. xx
Does it have cholesterol particularly the bad cholesterol
There is no good or bad cholesterol. All cholesterol is good, and the cholesterol you get from food has nothing to do with your blood cholesterol levels. This faulty medical stance has been corrected a few years ago. Thank god! But so many people still don't know. Ghee has a lot of cholesterol and that's one of the best things about it. Vitamin D and most of your hormones are made from cholesterol. xx
I live in Texas and my question is what kind of butter should I purchase to make ghee?
Any butter that is grass-fed or almost grass-fed. If you have Kerrygold where you live, it's a great choice. Anchor is also grass-fed and is quite international. xx
Hi, I used Kerrygold unsalted butter and cooked it for about 35 min at low heat. There was foam at the top, but after I poured it through layered cheesecloth, I noticed there were no browned particles on the bottom of the pan. The ghee is golden color and clear. What did I do wrong? Thanks in advance. Love your videos.
You probably should have cooked it longer to get the brown bits. What
you got is probably more like clarified butter than ghee but it's just
as good for you, just not as nutty flavoured. You should cook it until
the foam at the top disappears and the butter becomes completely clear with brown sediments at the bottom. xx
I have been constipated throughout all my life.I would not eat this, I would eat only that, etc. Problem of such food habit is that you miss out on so many nutrients of those foods that you can not consume because of constipation. I am now 48.Recently I have started consuming ghee by mixing it with dal soup and sipping that all throughout the meal ( rice, roti, curry, etc).Whatever I eat now, I have my bowel movements extremely well( actually untinkably better) these days. Ghee is divine food. I wish I knew its miraculous benefits much earlier in life.
I think you will be highly demoralized if you are obsessed too much with the type of the cow, what it eats and how the ghee should be prepared, etc.Try your best to get the best thing. If you get good results, stick to it.
Absolutely agree with you. Stressing about food is worse than eating not so healthy food. Nowadays I'm also very relaxed about food. Eliminations only bring more elimination down the road. Thank you for sharing your thoughts!
ok ghee is heavy in uk England
So, what exact[y is that white foam you skim off? Do you throw it away, or use it for something else?
It's all kinds of impurities, including any remaining dairy protein. I've heard that people in India eat it with some sugar, but I personally just throw it away. xx
Did you cook that at 500 degrees?
I don't think you can reach that kind of temperatures on the hob. I cooked it on the lowest heat setting. xx
its quite delicious if you use it as a sauce on pasta, add some capers, parmesan cheese. and cracked pepper! hmmmm yum
p.s and a bit of lemon juice is nice
thats not the traditional way of making ghee... butter used in making ghee is not that which is been sold in the markets rather it is obtained from churning the curd...
Yes, of course, if you can get hold of raw milk, it's absolutely the best way to make it. There's no cow milk where I live and a lot of people would struggle finding raw cow milk, plus it would be extremely time consuming to do it the authentic way, so I think making it this way is a good medium for busy, modern people. Thanks for sharing! xx
I don't think I cooked mine correctly. Its a little darker than yours and mine did not solidify it stayed a liquid afterward. It smells like creme brulee. Is that wrong?
Also it was done in 20 min not 40, but I did one kerrygold butter only
And I'm storing mine in the refrigerator, is that fine?
It sounds like you cooked it at a higher fire, that's why it became browner. Just try to lower the fire next time. Getting it so brown in only 20 minutes really does sound like it was too high. You can store it in the fridge, but it can also be kept at room temperature. xx
VitaLivesFree thank you. It's still safe to eat the one I made right?
It tastes fine.
Saoirse Formidiblum Yes, of course. xx
Is this the same thing as clarified butter?
+Thomeka Nelson Almost. The only difference is that ghee is boiled for longer, so it has a sort of nutty, toasted flavour. xx
Okay. Thank you!
Where to store ghee butter? Fridge or dry place?
On your counter. It doesn't need refrigeration. xx
VitaLivesFree also can u eat it just by spoon? Or its for cooking purposes only?
If you like the taste, you can eat some alone, too. It's really up to you. xx
Ghee is KING!
Cook with it, apply on super-dry skin, sores, cuts, burns, hair! Headache? Rub ghee thoroughly into scalp to penetrate.
+Black&White Agree, ghee is truly king! xx
do u still use this. ghee butter do u recommended
+Joana life Yes, it's still a staple food for me and I still highly recommend it. xx

can we mix ghee with honey?some peoples say its poisonous but some say that it is good for health
+Li Chee Yes, as far as I remember, honey and ghee need to be mixed in equal proportions. xx
ok,thank you!
Honey and ghee has to be in unequal proportion. If ghee is one tbs then honey half teaspoon.
I started making my own ghee from Kerry Gold. Sometimes my ghee is smooth and sometimes its very grainy. I can't figure out why its grainy. Is your ghee smooth or grainy?
+Teri Teri I noticed that if I put it through the sieve or pour into the jar quite soon it will be quite grainy. But if I leave it to rest longer, then it comes out much smoother. My guess is that more of the impurities settle to the bottom and the end result gets smoother. Hope this helps. xx
Just made some and it came out black as coffee. Obviously I burned it but I was cooking pretty low. So I thought. What temp should I keep it at or under?
Sorry to hear it got burned! I burned my first batch as well. It's not so much about the temperature, but more about the timing. You need to take it off the fire as soon as the bottom sediment turns golden brown. Any longer and it will burn. Literally a minute or two could make a huge difference. My hob goes from 1 to 9 for the heat, and I cook ghee at 2.5-3, so pretty low. Hope next time it will come out right! xx
+VitaLivesFree Tried again. I used a thermometer and kept it around 200. After it stopped bubbling I gave it another 5 minutes very low while the tiny bubbles finished up from the bottom. It's probably not perfect and I don't trust leaving it on the counter, but in the fridge should be okay- right? Can't wait to try it. Smells amazing.
mattd313
Yes, of course, if you think it's not completely filtered, you can always keep it in the fridge. xx
Thanks. I had it in the fridge overnight, and it's very hard now. Too hard. How will I know when it's completely done cooking / is a paper coffee filter good enough? Do you need to clean the jar you put it in in a special way to fully sterilize it? Would really like to store it on the counter but I'm afraid I'll get myself sick! lol
mattd313 I divide it into two smaller jars. I keep one in the fridge, the other one on the counter. In this way, I finish a jar within a week, it stays soft and easy to spread, plus it doesn't go bad. Don't worry, you can't really make yourself sick because if it was really spoiled, it would smell and taste bad and you simply wouldn't eat it. Ghee takes a long time to cook and that's why it tastes so nutty, while clarified butter is cooked very quickly without browning the butter at all, but it still achieves the same effect of clarifying. As long as you clarify the solid bits well, it will be perfectly fine to keep on the counter. I personally didn't manage to make the coffee filter work because the filter was too dense and the ghee was just sitting there without going down, but perhaps yours will work better. I literally just wait until all the solid bits settle to the bottom, take off any remaining foam from the top, and then pour the clear liquid straight into a jar without using any filters. It works fine this way. I never sterilize the jar because as I said I always consume it within a week or two, so it doesn't really matter. xx
I'm making it as I type - but I have a question - as I'm spooning off the foam, I'm seeing that underneath the little container that I'm spooning the foam off into, there is quite a bit of actual butter beneath it and I feel like I'm somehow wasting good butter. Is this okay? I thought yikes - and put some back but then the foam just appeared again. :0
There will inevitably be a little butter, but not much. Just try to kind of brush the spoon along the edge of the pot, so that some of the butter can run back into the pot. Also wait until a lot of the foam collects, it will be easier to take it off in that way. xx
VitaLivesFree Actually I have a bit more information for everyone as apparently I have burnt my first batch of ghee. I followed your instructions but I think everyone needs to really make sure they cook this in a small pot. I googled 'I burnt my ghee' and by gosh, I did. It's too dark and has little brown spots in it and apparently if the pot is too large, it gives the butter too much 'surface' and is much more prone to scorching. Damn! And it smelled bad. No nuts here. Sigh. I wasted all that butter. Sad face..... Well, try try again soon.
Yes, you're so right. It needs to be a small, deep pot. I'll add a note in the video. In fact, I burned my first batch, too. But then I forgot to mention about the pot in the video. So sorry, please don't give up on ghee! :-) xx
VitaLivesFree Oh no - I won't give up on it! I love ghee. :) I did do some more research however, and apparently the little brown pieces in the ghee at the end are the milk solids and should be golden brown and not black. I don't know what they are and I don't know how golden this strained first-run is but I strained it and put it into a glass jar and await to see how this first experiment turned out. I'm dubious.
Joelle Hammerle....but I do have to say....there IS a slight 'nutty' aroma going on so........Ö)
What if the ghee is grass fed? Its better right??
Of course! ❤️
Hi, i have a bad bad belly flat. So is it ok to have ghee now? I dont want anymore belly fat
Fat doesn't cause fat. In fact, none of real food causes fat. Only processed foods, excess fructose, mineral deficiencies, stress, and lack of movement cause fat gain. xx
+VitaLivesFree thank u so much! One more thing is, what is the best way to eat ghee? Cooked or uncooked?
soumili chakraborty
Making ghee itself involves boiling butter, so it doesn't really matter if you eat ghee cooked or uncooked. It's already cooked! :-) xx
soumili chakraborty you can eat ghee, say 2 spoons a day😊 that's for everyone! But it's finally fat so you will have to limit it to 2 spoons. And it doesn't need cooking, but if it's too cold outside and it freezes, you can simply put the container for a minute in the microwave or even better, put it in hot water for 2-3 mins😊
Spidey 2002 well that's true...the carb intake is in fact the worst...sugars r basically carbs itself and its carbs that leads to being fat when not processed properly in the body...and we just eat meals wrong! I mean you should eat more salads, than veggies, than dal and least rice and rotis...we do the exact opposite! But that doesn't mean you can have unlimited fats...saturated fats may lead to cholesterol if eaten too much, unless the person exercises along with such a diet. I think you are on a keto diet?😅
