Well spent 30 minutes. Some history, some useful tips. Most importantly a visual presentation of all of the different what if’s my brain asks. Countless hours saved in experimentation. Anyone watching should know what they are comfortable with on the accurate wonky scale and your excellent instruction fine tunes the way to achieve it. Infinite possibilities and inspiration. Valuable insights. Priceless to me. A million thanks and a multitude of well wishes.
What a nice comment, thank you!

Fantastic tutorial again and very helpful to a person trying to relax from the stress of trimming madness for perfect squares! Thank you, Rob!
Thank you for the fun instruction. Love your enjoyment and not worrying about accuracy at every move😊
Tks, Rob. Love the quilts, your creativity and your enthusiasm.
I’ve never made a log cabin, might have to try one wonky now. Thanks ❤
Love this tutorial Rob and those bright fun colours.
It's a real fun way to use up scraps and love the bright colors as always!
Thanks my friend, the bright colors really did help me move through a bit of a low energy spell for sure.
That orange quilt is gorgeous
love your 'method' of cutting down scraps to be the same width, so simple
Thank you for a great tutorial. I love all the options.
I love this wonky way. Can’t wait to try it.
Wonderful video, you’re always so much fun to watch. You asked, how about sharing some of your machine quilting process, just a chat along with some free motion?
I most definitely will do this! I am ready for my queen Christmas Log Cabin. Thanks for sharing your experience in quilting .
Awesome!! Never thought a log cabin quilt could be done this way! Great scrap buster! Can’t wait to try it.
Love these free-form log cabins❤
This sounds so liberating! Excellent and reassuring instruction, as always, thanks, Mr. Rob!
Love the orange color blocks using different shades!
‘Nothing is all that important.’ I love that❤
Love ur quilts, colors and energy!
Rob is one of my favorite quilters. He is very precise explaining the different methods. Thank you Rob
I struggle with improv type piecing, your video has helped me with this! Thanks Rob!
Thank you for refreshing my thoughts of the log cabin designs. Your explanation is clear and fun. Hope to see more tutorials of yours! 😊
I can't remember if I've seen you teaching machine quilting lately. I do remember when you were "man sewing" and you taught some basics, but maybe you could do a tute on that again. I love the quilting in your two quilts. Really it is my favorite part of the process
I just happen to have a quilt top that need FMQ..... maybe I should roll cameras
I just discovered your channel and I loved your tutorial!
I like all the bright colors. It's winter white where I live so this reminds me of a spring day. Your videos are always interesting.
Fun to see your 1/4 inch seams are casual ))). Quilting should be fun and a release from stress of the world. Sewing on a single thread does not do that. Sort of kinda close to almost exact is what its about. The first makers of this classic did not stress, so their quilts have a quality we admire. Your NON-standard versions are Wonderful!!!
The log cabin is one of my favorite blocks. The wonky blocks look like a lot of fun and easy way to get rid of misc. string scraps. Thank you for your time in making this.
This is so much fun
Quite creative!
❤ hi from Alexandria, Louisiana. Love your bright and cheerful fabrics and how they come together. I am a 56 yr old and have been gifted many scraps along my quilting journey of 5 years and this wonky log cabin pattern will look awesome with alot of them! Thank you Rob for sharing your tips and tricks and look forward to your next videos.
Thanks Rob. Interesting blocks, I may try this, I tend to strive for perfection. So with luck. 😊
Always so fun! Thank you🫶
Он ломает стереотипы,классно придумал👏😍
Another great tutorial. The tip on organizing your strips is really helpful. I plan to apply it to other scrap projects.
I tryed to order my scrap and then I sew them together and I have to many. I don't know if I should RIP them out or cut to make a smaller quilt or not
I’ve been watching different videos on free motion and you are by far the best instructor. Thank you for sharing your talent
Thank you for bringing the Log Cabin alive and with options to be free and creative in design! Loved the reference to scrap pillow dog beds for Humane Society! Looking forward to learning and being inspired by your work and amazing creativity!!!
Love this
Hellooooo from very cold Newberg,Oregon
❤love the Log Cabin ❤️❤️
Really great fun video. Thanks.😊
Great video❤
Loved watching your video. Would love it if you could go further and show how you got the blocks matched up for the full quilt top. I always have difficulty lining all of the blocks without y seams
Love your ideas. Your enthusiasm is inspiring me!
I love wonky blocks as we don’t need to be perfect. Remember finished is better than perfect lol Due to my spinal injury I can no longer do large quilts cos of the weight so I tend to do QAYG then join together. Can you do a tutorial on joining QAYG different ways please for others like me? Thanks Rob you are looking great by the way.
This is very creative, I love it!
I have to say my favorite colors are orange and green, all kinds of both. That orange one is a perfect one for me. Love the use of different sizes.

Thank you for sharing.
I love your Tshirt block, will we be taught that one?
Hi Rob,Greetings from Cambria!
Loved your wonky log cabin square video, Rob. I also admire how you use colors to make your projects sing! What kind of cordless iron do you use?
Yea for you. I use all scraps for animal beds.
I was just thinking about you today! Crazy that you showed up on my feed! I love love the wonky log cabins! I made one last year and it's one of my fave quilts ever! Looking forward to other videos. Do you have one on graffiti quilting? I would love to learn to do that. Thanks for the great tute!
I like.
Thank you!! Makes me want to separate my scraps.
Go for it!
❤️❤️❤️
When will Rob play his guitar?
You need an ACCUQUILT! It has a log cabin BOB
What model of sewing machine do you use? It’s so quiet and I love the quarter inch foot!
Oops, you did it again!
Hi Rob
How fun! I’ve watched and learned from you for years. I went to high school the subscribe button but it says stitchen heaven instead of yours. If that gets fixed I will happily subscribe!
Hi Donna, Stitchin Heaven is the company I do my CZcams videos for, please reconsidering subscribing, its not a scam, haha
@@StitchinHeaven: HI Rob, it's good to see you back on CZcams. I wondered where you went. The Log Cabin is a great block. The Wonky Log Cabin is just "too cool" !!!! ✌🏻♥️
😀
Are written instructions available? I love this quilt and want to make one, but, unfortunately, I don’t work well from videos.
Do you have any books out
❤️👍👍👍❤️👋👋👋❤️
Historic log cabins naturally had irregularly sized logs, so it seems to me that wonky is more historically accurate. Only modern cabins have perfectly matched logs....so wonky is the truer nod to our forefathers.

I have not made a log cabin quilt.
Sloppy sewing! 😅 I’m home!
