Wood, a segment suggestion: If you announce next weeks guest at the end of the episode, you could give the audience (Patreon?) a chance to post questions for you to ask the guest.
I like this idea. Hopefully they see this and implement it one way or another.
Idk why, but "what have you been playing" is always one of my favorite questions on gaming podcasts.

That was a really enjoyable episode. I think having you and E talk before the guest comes out works well. It was interesting to hear Daniel Mullins talk about his perspective before and after entering game development as a full time career. It would be nice to hear insight from other indie devs in the future as well. You guys are doing a great job with the show and I appreciate the effort you put in for us to have something fun to watch every Thursday. Keep up the awesome show!

As a Viewer (I watch these on CZcams primarily) that came literally right after Bob left, I like this podcast a lot. I’m sure there are lots missing the old chemistry, but I think the guests, the fun you and E have, the set up and the video format work REALLY well. This was such a good episode! I’ve been sick and missed these new ones, but excited to be catching up. The format of having a formal intro w/ E, introducing the guest and asking them about their work, then moving onto current topics feels so natural and enjoyable to listen to!
Love how cool and chill Daniel is, meshed perfectly with Wood’s energy, too! Been a huge fan of Daniel’s work since Pony Island and Inscryption was my favorite game of the year it came out, I’m super excited for Panda Circus. Curious if a part of his most recent game jam will show up in the game (or be part of another ARG, perhaps?)

Knowing that E has a background in mainstream talk show format, I love that he's agreeing to be in the pre-show intro. Moving forward, the pre-show with just Wood and E could be used for a mini recap, an update on any changes in the podcast, an open mic for both of them to share anything. I'm so excited for whats to come

Some people like podcasts with different guest interviews, but I don’t enjoy getting used to listening to a new person each episode and feeling left out on stories I don’t have context for because I don’t know the guests. You might have just acquired an audience that likes consistent hosts. Many people love guest shows, but that is why I haven’t listened as much. Much love, Wood!

I would say stick with the guest format but don’t feel pressured to have someone every week. If you are unable to book a guest go solo. This would be nice change of pace as well. Also I have seen a format where the host will go solo for the first part of the pod and then bring in the guest, similar to what you did here and that seems to work well to do your own thing and then get into the interview.

There were a lot of awkward moments in this video where it was clear the game dev guest was definitely uncomfortable during the podcast. I’d say if you interview any other game devs, have them give you a list of things they’d like to talk about and have a list of options that you could propose topic ideas but have the guest pick. Rather than randomly forcing them to discuss some switch dock patent and april fools content.
I enjoy the show with and without bob, although sadly. I enjoy wood and bob individually and together and I have watched from the beginning. I was a Patreon supporter for a long time until my financial situation has changed drastically. But I’m in for the long haul.
Ps. The sound bar on the side table between you guys is backwards from the Nontendo logo.
