I typically play docked at home, but totally use all the "3 ways to play" Switch features!
I occasionally take it to work, where my coworkers will play Mario Kart with me, using individual joycons and a cheap 3rd party dock, for a quick de-stresser at lunchtime.
I used tabletop mode at the airport and (kinda) on a recent flight. I clipped it into the phone holder above the tray table (some newer plane seat backs have them) with headphones in and joycons relaxed in the lap. Made for a great non-slouched position, actually!
I've also used the tabletop mode to play Ring Fit on my lunch break... though admittedly that did not work well.
I don't use handheld often, just find it uncomfortable.
Been an enjoyable podcast, great episode. I find Wood to be much more reliable when he's just being himself rather than his channel persona

I'm ok with the Paper Mario remake being $60, tho Metroid Prime was $40 and that's the best pure remake I've seen. Luigi's Mansion 2 shouldn't be $60 since it's mostly a remaster, and it was $40 before

My kids started playing Mario Kart pretty young since I could turn on the bumpers and the auto accelerate and the single joycons was perfect for their smaller hands.
been saying this from day 1. most of these titles dont need a remake. just a straight port, an HD remaser, or even dropping them on the online expansion. its a blatant cash grab

People want to play them right away, but are unwilling to pay for the games. They can wait and pay less by buying used. But no, they want to play day one. John its a pretty chill guy, I enjoy his insites about games. One of the best guest in this new podcast”. I think that wood struggles a little to lead the conversations with the guest, before it was bob who do most of the talk and guide of different themes and ideas, so would take some work to fill or reedo his part on this podcast.

Shift Up is a development company created by Hyung Tae Kim who's known for his art style. He made the Magna Carta series of which we got two games: Tears of Blood on PS2 and MagnaCarta 2 on Xbox 360. He also made Blade n Soul.
They have 3 studios we know about that has the game they're working on in their official title. Their first game was Destiny Child which has since been closed down, Stellar Blade is what the second studio has been working on. Then the third studio made Goddess of Victory Nikke.

The reasons for Nintendo to design the joycons to be used as separate controllers is to have two player support by default as a selling point. It will also make it more likely that two players use the same system together and that likely will improve sales of Switch games, Switch Pro controllers and even Switch consoles.

during the xbox 360/ps3/wii era it seemed like the dlc was a bonus rather than a requirement for a full game. I love fighting games and hate the fact that the only way to unlock every character is to buy a fighter pass. just charge more for the game so i can have a full game and unlock characters or items while making it fun or challenging.

The biggest problem is why . Switch 3party games selling bad on switch in Japan. Only 4 games from 3 party have sold over million. Were right now at 30+ switch owners in japan . And japan is the strongest market for Nintendo. Imagine only 4 ps4/ps5 games selling more than 1million in USA. Every cod is selling over 1million every year on playstation,. In Europe EA sports is selling over 1 million every year . Why Nintendo gamers dont buy 3party games in Japan? There are 20 switch jrpg games that are better jrpg than pokemon. But no one care in Japan for better jrpgs than pokemon.

I play my switch mostly in tabletop mode, as switch itself is bit heavy compared to 3DS, which i play a lot recently. Man i love 3DS is so much better handheld... Anyway... After a few hours i handheld depending on game my hands hurts, tabletop mode solve that completly.
Now regarding sharing joycons, they are expensive. So me and my wife got one set each. I think about buying pro controler but anyway! When my wife sister visits us with her fiance we share our 2 set of joycon.
Also i got small case for my switch with only game slots, when we travel sometimes is okey to detach joycon and share it.

I would be shocked if paper mario thousand year door had some hidden feature or sub-mode not revealed yet. It’s too close to release to not reveal something you can market. Maybe a couple Easter eggs.

I have an amazing tip for xbox owners! And it works great for current and last Gen consoles. It's quick, easy, and free to do, and it will allow your xbox to reach its full potential. There are no overheating issues or anything like that so don't worry. First thing you want to do is absolutely smash the console. Now that the plastic shell is removed in several pieces. Recycle the plastic, so that it can become a toilet seat in a taco bell on the side of the highway. And that's it. You're console has never been better, or more useful. You are doing yourself, and society a favor. Now go buy a Playstation or a Nintendo and become a real gamer. Because that's where all the great games are. Plus due to recent events, you can easily play what used to be xbox exclusives. All 3 of them.....

Nintendo sells them at $60 because thats what their millions of customers are willing to pay. The reason why other companies games drop in price (& sold at lower price) because customers dont want to pay as much for those games.
