Rick Rubens is an important leader and I'm grateful people are paying attention to this book. I'm very grateful that he's written it. I am about to read it.
Creativity in my life experience is any act that is inspired or connected to our true heart and imagination. I believe we are all creative, but many people create what they dont want. That has included me, yet I've dedicated my life to changing that around.

I found your video while looking for the name of Rick Rubin's book.
Before doing music full time, when I was working in IT support, I read a book on determinining your life purpose (I can't recall the name of it). Part of the process was making index cards of all sorts of things from throughout your life, then eventually sorting them, categorizing them, simplifying them and determining a Life Purpose statement. Mine came out as:
"I am a skillful creator"
I really get what you are talking about in being a creative. I did it with tech, renovations, miniatures gaming, studio construction and now music. But really I do it with all aspects of my life and am also "always working".

Glad you popped by and taking the time to check out the video. I agree, it's all aspects of life. I've worked a tonne of what people may call crap jobs - but even still, if you came in to get a sub at Mr. Sub while I was working, I'm going to try and give you the best sandwich you've ever had. There's massive meaning in imbuing everything you do with a certain amount of care. It's a state of being. I think people of all walk of life can get value from his book.
