Thanks Again for the Positive Inspiration!
@AKIYIAKELLY
Congrats! 🎉
I recommend watching, Top 7 Riding Mistakes after it could save your life! 😊
Thank you. So helpful to know Darlene doesn’t know how to ride a bike. Same thing-parents didn’t let me learn. Very encouraging to know she was able to get started so quickly. Going to place my order tonight.
You can do it!
How's it going for you?
Me too
That's me ! That's me! I got a mega wheels a5, 4 weeks and 2 days ago! I had NEVER ridden a non electric scooter, never mind a escooter! So I bought one and a helmet! So far injuries are 2 skinned knees and 1 skinned elbows due to buying safety pads that were cheapish! After a month I feel confident enough to go into town centre, down a steep hill, under two railway bridges and through town centre to my chemist and back. These videos have helped me a lot ! Can u suggest quality safety pads !
After 7 weeks 6 days, I feel confident and don't go along screaming SORRY NEWBIE! Getting off at every hill, any pedestrians, narrowing pavement, bumpy pavement, any roads bisecting the path I am on ! I feel really confident but most importantly I have a quality helmet and pads
Our brave lady is doing great, very confident.
"I just didn't want to die" - best quote from new scooter rider :) Thanks guys for the video! I'm having my wife watch this trying to convince her to try it out!
I don't know how to ride a bike as well! I'll be getting an electric scooter soon since we'll most likely be forced to report back to the office in a few weeks or months and I plan to use this on the daily since parking and gas expenses would be too much if I use our vehicle. Thank you so much for all the info you three have given in this video. It's been so helpful.
THANK YOU for making my first ride a joy instead of a terror, Darlene, Jimmy, and Co. It really helped to know that she doesn't know how to ride a bike. After just a short ride I am ready to roll on the regular. Thanks again!
Thanks for sharing your experience!
Good video Jimmy, it was good to see a total beginner try and learn. I haven't ridden one yet because I am waiting to buy the right one
Don't forget to wear an nta helmet like xnito or bern hudson when you buy one, cpsc helmets don't really protect you
This is a life changing video.
I love to always come back to this video over and over again...It's motivational from the both of you and big hits to Darlene for trying it out for the first time! (yeah I'm not the only one in this world with the same height and will be a first time scooter rider) Keep up the great work gentlemen! Continue being an inspiration Darlene. Such a great example of all around support!💜
Definitely more videos with Darlene! Planning to teach my wife, and she found it inspiring !
I was never on an electric scooter until I bought a wide wheel pro , I love it and am now saving up for something faster after I get some experience
Encouraging as well as informative. Thanks (team) for sharing. Shoutout to Darlene for being the perfect student.
I been looking at a bunch of videos for e-scooters since I'm looking to buy one and learn how to ride and build the confidence to learn. This video gave me a bit more confidence to learn!
Cool tips, getting an escooter soon! More tips and more of Darlene riding an ebike👍
The detail I got from this will make it where I will take on my first time today with less fear. Knowledge is power, yes.
I already know how to ride a bike decently, but the funny thing is that when I tried an e-scooter for the first time, I couldn't ride for a few meters forward!!!
Finding this video is the main reason for me to learn how to ride a scooter. Thanks guys for this awesome video!
Seriously? I find bike much more difficult.
@protostelos2615 Could be, not sure, that depends and differs from one to one, I guess.
Best of luck to you!
Love to scooter/onewheel in Wash Park there. Nice to just cruise around there.
Extremely helpful video! I now know the advantages of spending more and that's really important. Thank You!
Great video, hope she had fun! 😎🖐
Interestingly, I taught my daughter how to ride a bike without training wheels 9 years ago while using a kick scooter (non-electric) to teach her the concept of balancing on 2 wheels -- once I put her on her bike (sans training wheels) she mastered it immediately as she understood the motion and steering principles while on the scooter. So, there's hope for Darlene, re: riding a bike, seeing how well she did on the e-scooters! :)
I do enjoy these gentlemen videos, love the content would love to hear more on safety gear
you guys are awesome. thanks for another fab video :)
Thanks for watching!
Jimmy and Andrew EScooter PHDs imparting some wisdom 🙌
I just got an escooter yesterday and about to ride one for the first time. Her attitude is so encouraging! ❤
You can do it!
Kudos Darlene. Just like the previous version of you, I couldn't ride a bike or an electronic scooter. I'm originally from Ethiopia and I just moved to Italy to work (ironically, I design software for autonomous vehicles). I'm really thinking about buying an Electronic Scooter. I hope to find teachers like yours and pick up riding an electronic scooter as quickly as you did. Wish me luck
This video is so good
When I saw her get on the scooter I wondered if she knew how to ride a bike. Never seen someone struggle to balance on a scooter so I figured if she could barely balance on a scooter then she probably doesn't have the balance to ride a bike yet.
I find bikes easier
Thank you guys
Don’t know how to ride a bike but I was a scooter kid growing up. So I got an e scooter, took it around the block twice and immediately started taking it to work and home from work.
Thank you!
SO GOOD!
I've had my electric scooter for 1 month. Despite the initial learning curve, it's not too hard to learn to ride one of these.
I would like more learning in turning ! Like making a sharp turn in avoidance mode ?
Great video, only other thing I would have told her is to always keep both hands on the handlebar. I experienced the death wobble and barely able to run it off, I was lucky and didn't face plant on asphalt haha.
Hi Jimmy. I enjoy your vids. I have a question, I bought a Pint X. I know a helmet is necessary. I see a lot of people on youtube don't bother with knee and elbow pads for casual riding. Do you think they are necessary or do you find them cumbersome? Agility wise.
nice video...congrats Darlene. You're not only cute, but capable too...Have a nice rides on that nice VSETT 8+
I says yes to her learning to ride a bike, but not an e-bike. Paddling is an important part of the skills
People should always start at 10mph but love you speak about breaking. I break rear at slow speeds cause of my accident. At fast speeds I tap rear or hold rear and tap front
Oh there's one question I would love to know from Darlene though, because she got to try and feel the difference between the thumb throttle and the finger trigger. How did you feel using the finger trigger on the VSett? Assuming you might have small hands like I do, the stretch for the finger might be a hassle for me. Let me know please.
she is awesome.. great video
Darlene is super cool!
Great video.
Thanks.
I Never rode a Scooter before.
I just got one.
I am scared to ride it too.
I don't want to fall.
You can do it!
thx to your channel I took the plunge and bought a onewheel :D could you recommend gloves for onewheel newbie? (I'm very scared about nosedives now)
About nosedives, if you don't push the board to its limits then you shouldn't have nosedives. Learn slow and safe
good on you Darling
For someone who never rode a bicyle. Respect.
get that girl a bike
Yes, teach her how to ride the bike after she gets used to the speed from the scooter first.
Deal!
Very nice videos!!!! Just want to ask where to buy nanrobot d6+ online
Thanks for the kind words. Here is the link to the US dealer: roadrunnerscooters.com/products/nanrobot-d6?ref=GotScooter
Please do the dualtron compact
Jimmy, is the nine bot max I good unit to learn on?
It is rare that you find people on electric scooters or other PEVs in my area.
Attitude is not the only thing she has that's great
My first electric scooter is the vsett 10 plus, I was actually planning to buy the Nami Burn-e first, but it was way too big to take with me in the car or put it in the hallway. the vsett is a super nice scooter, the only drawback is that you have to continuously tighten the handlebars where it fold. For the first few days I had to be careful not to mistake the throttle with the brakes because that was dangerous. The first day was mostly learning to brake while leaning back. Foot position and realizing that you have to keep both hands on the handlebars is important.
Thanks for the feedback! I agree, the VSETT 10 is great, but those handlebars need to be replaced!
I had the same issue with the bars and that was annoying so I changed the bars to a mountain bike bar….so much better now.
My Left leg is inoperable due to an accident, so where should I put it? Front or Back?
I have about onewheels should I get the pint or the pint X
Soooo, I'm not the only one on this planet who doesn't know how to ride a bike? 😮
Me... TOMORROW!
How do you maintain your balance?
I still don't understand how people can ride those 1 wheel, hoverboards, or the old segway.
You have to keep your weight in the middle. Just like riding a bike.
Thank you for making this vehicle. I just got a scooter and I'm trying to learn how to ride it.. 😂😂😂😂
Why have I never been on an electric scooter? Because our government hasn't [YET] deemed them legal to own and ride - fingers crossed for the near-future.
She's pretty.
She fine
It's NOT a toy, so charge it properly, store it properly, use it properly - think safety (get some practice in first - "No helmet? NO WAY"). Happy travels and ENJOY THE MOMENT!
u can tell she is a "regular" rider. not goofy. she should put her left foot in front and kick to start with her right foot.
Next teach her to read the surface for cracks and debris
Juicy! I have a scooter Darlene can ride.
Are you from Nicaragua 🇳🇮
She'll be chasing down bike thieves in no time lol
That would be a sweet video!
I bought a Qhummer2 & taught my damn self....
( Y )
Darlene is one beautiful woman woe love her eyes and smile hi miss Darlene hope we see more of you here way to go just beautiful ride safe miss have fun
Get her on an e bike!🎉❤
To ez
Do you need to know how to ride a bike to use this?
It's EUC time.
She kinda a baddie 👀
Cringe, gross.
At this point it's not even "kinda" lol. Pretty face, great legs, and toned midriff. She's very attractive imo
That's the point 😂
4'7 I got u beat😂
Amazing video, I bought my first scooter and it comes tomorrow. Its not the best, its a Hiboy s2 pro but at $399 it was the best I could get at the moment. I just need it to go a mile to work and back instead of killing my car. I'm a lot less nervous about it after seeing how fast she picked it up.
Get that darlin some gloves
She is gorgeous 😍
Get her ebike,let’s go
If you guys do teach her to ride a bike, please don't start her off on an electric one. Its like giving someone the cheat codes to a brand new game, they're not going appreciate and learn the skills from the ground up.
Bike? Ok. But teach her to OW and then an EUC next. None of this casual stuff!
Don't you learn from chips your trainee is always on your right,so passing cars, bikes other electric scooter riders pass you other than your trainee.
I have never ridden one because I can't afford one that is appropriate for a fat guy and those rental scooters suck.
Fun stuff & She’s cute.
hi jimmy and andrew, whichever one of you is not married should marry that woman. she is very nice, also pretty.
She slides on hard wood? 🎉
Im 26. I cant balance myself..
He says don't ride around a lot of people, but then he talks about how good they are in big cities. Huh?
Girls negative 10 dexterity
Get her riding a bike but a regular one and then an Ebike
She's hot!
OMG HE IS SO HOT!!❤
How do you not know how to ride a e scoot a kid could easily 🤣🤣🤣
Scooters are so much easier and safer then a bike. I've almost died on a bike. Not once have I come close to dying on a scooter.
Get the girl a normal bike.. she won't appreciate the ebike lol
sexist as hell dude
How to eat: step 1. Put food in your mouth.
Using this scooter for short commutes is the way to go, as it makes it really fun. czcams.com/users/postUgkxvyNuxpWiHTNypxG6nyqyf7ywc7Q16PDM Both the levels of speed it allows you to use are very fun, though 20mph can get pretty scary on bad roads. It makes a cool electric sound as it is accelerating. The battery life is also pretty impressive, as I can go anywhere around me within a ~10 mile radius and back home with a full charge. I expected the tires to feel somewhat like a toy, but it is legit, and has pretty good grip on surfaces. Braking on this scooter is also really fun, since you can even do a little drifting if you break hard. The wheels on the scooter are definitely very high quality, as they are wide and well sized. The entire scooter is pretty high quality too. I have fallen on it a couple times because I was being a little reckless, and the scooter still works perfectly fine, with some minor scratches on the sides. I found the brake lights to be very cool as well, since they flash when you brake.
Special thanks to Darlene for being an awesome scooter student! Go say hi to Darlene on Instagram! instagram.com/darlene_the_dreamer?
