Just a quick video showing how I replaced the Headlight Assembly on my 2007 Honda Accord with aftermarket replacements from Autosaver88. The retainer bracket didn't line up perfectly, but you will see in the video that you can make it work. Removing the bumper cover completely was not necessary. Removing the top piece and lowering the bumper cover for access was much easier than I thought it would be.
I would recommend getting some replacement plastic clips ahead of time.
I didn't need to adjust or aim the headlights after installing them.
    Tools needed:
    Philips Screwdriver
    Flathead Screwdriver
Clip removal tool (if you have one)
    10mm socket and/or socket wrench
Vice grips to hold the bracket in place to mount the lower outside bolt through the metal bracket.
    Thanks for watching!

Just a heads up for those that plan to use the linked headlights assembly: as the 1 star reviews on this particular product suggest, after less than a year my headlights began to discolor and crackle and by two years they looked awful and and severely reduced light from the bulbs. I put this exact pair on my accord and have to replace them again due to how quickly they deteriorated. I'm literally on this video to remind myself how to swap them because I will be taking out this pair and putting in a different brand that seems to be a better quality (albeit more expensive).

I appreciate you making this video. I bought my daughter new lights for her car assuming install would be straight forward. I had no idea the bumper cover had to come loose, nor was I aware of the bracket swap. Feeling much more confident moving forward now. Again, thank you.

Finally! For once it's great to watch a well taken video, good footage covering all aspects of the job without going into sidelines off-topic raving that I've seen on so many other DIY vids. Dan just gets on with the job here, speeds it up where needed, doesn't drag it out and doesn't get all egotistical. He is easy to watch and listen to. Well done Dan !

Great video! Regarding the bracket tabs, I did come up with another approach that worked well. I cleaned both surfaces (metal bracket & plastic with tabs) with alcohol, then applied some construction adhesive to it, secured the fit together, and vice clamped it securely in place for 24 hours. The next day took off the vice and it held perfectly up through installation. Highly recommend if you don't mind waiting the extra day, saves a ton of hassle & fighting it later.

@@DantheFixitManyou can replace the bulb from the engine compartment. Something you do need to watch out for is, touching the glass part of those bulbs with your hands. The oil from your hands can get onto the glass then once you turn your headlights on the heat will cause the bulb to break where you touched. Whenever changing headlights, never touch the actual bulb with bare skin. It's best to wear a clean pair of cloth gloves or at least make a conscious effort not to touch the glass. Thanks for the video though, did the company comment on the fit issues?

excellent video editing but those aftermarket headlights are bad. It's not just the bracket no lining up but the part is of poor quality. although it is almost half the price of oem honda headlights, they're not worth even that much. The clearcoat will crack in a year, the light direction adjustement screw are fake and do not work. There are plenty of reviews and pictures in the amazon page that shows it will not last more than one year or so. Not worth the cost and the effort to install them. Extremely poor quality part.

Best way to tell if your lights are too high or too low is to park facing a flat wall, on a flat surface! (A fence, garage, side of building, ect) BUT YOUR CAR MUST BE FLAT AND LEVEL!! I usually go to a building parking lot at night to do this. You can CZcams search how to adjust them for the correct level and then with a long screwdriver you can adjust them up or down... it's best to do this with 2 people! One in the car, one adjusting under the hood!
