This piece introduces the triplet.
It's the last piece in the book. I will play 'Over the Rainbow', but not the other bonus pieces because they're too hard (I think they shouldn't have been included. Maybe they match the level learnt after book 2 or even book 3).
Piano: Yamaha P-105.
Sound: Grand Piano 1.

Thank you for playing them. Throughout book 1 I kept coming to your channel to see what it should actually sound like
Bhai seekh gaye ya nahi??
thanks for playin all these lessons...u've been such a help in learning these lessons
Just got halfway through this song. Those arpeggiated chords are killin' me! xD
Haha, yeah, I had the same problem. But don't worry, this song is an excellent exercise for mastering arpeggiated chords. And now, when I have to learn a new song with arpeggiated chords, it's a piece of cake!
Aidan O'Donnell How is the song now for you? I realize it is a year later.
Nicholas Harned Well I had actually learned it for a class and haven't played it since. But when I had played it for the grade, I had it nearly perfect. Took me two weeks to learn I believe.
Aidan O'Donnell Wow, nice job.
I think it'll take me an eternity to get the rolled arpeggios right. Actually the problem is too play it within a triplet, making life harder, much harder. :(
Love the tune, the way it was played and the piano.
My ranking of the songs I struggled with the most in this book (bonus songs excluded):
5. O Sole Mio
4. Blow The Man Down
3. The Entertainer
2. Little Brown Jug
1. He's Got The Whole World in His Hands
I think i struggled getting the timing right with, He's Got The Whole Word in His Hands
@@chickfalley4205 I just found that it required a degree of hand independence that no other song in that book required. That and the rhythm was a huge problem.
@@benjaminhedley1952 interesting it's like this book is all over the place
I personally found He's Got The Whole World in His Hands kinda easy
i struggled the most with Chiapanecas I think
blow the man down's first measure is difficult. although my favorite song is the entertainer.
I'm half way finished with this piece, after that, I'll be finally done with the first book. I just wanna say in advance, thank you for these videos. They helped me alot!
Have a nice day :D
It helped me a lot too! I always watch these vids to teach me and my piano teacher gets impressed how I play so my piano teacher literally skipped SO MUCH PAGES and now I’m almost finished with this book!
After all the years I finally did it!
I finally did it too! It’s a very fun song! c:
I’m learning this song and now I can listen to you if I’m doing it wrong or right!
Thank you so much you have been so helpful! I always refer back to your videos to make sure I am playing correctly and have my fingers placed right... I love your piano playing it's so beautiful!
Muito obrigada por todos os vídeos que se dedicou a gravar e postar nesse canal.
Estou terminando o livro 1 e desde o início acompanho seu trabalho.
Me ajudou muito.
Fico imensamente grata.
Thank you. 🙏🏻🌹
I am new to music playing and thus it took me more than the average to complete the book (3 1/2months) thank you for the videos
I'm so glad you agree that the bonus songs at the end of the book are too difficult. I'm level two and I still can't comprehend the difficulty.
RDTurcios i agree
I love how that arrpeggio sounds❤️❤️
Love this song, Great job!
Muito bom. Esse video vai me ajudar muito. to aprendendo esta música p uma banca e um recital. Vlw.
Great!
*That's great*
Awesome, thanks
Nice work! I'm mostly done with this song but Over the Rainbow seems much harder. Now that I've seen you play it I'm determined to master it. Thanks for the demo to push us along!
I know this was three years ago and yes mom i know im giving out my age but im 11 years old and im in the adults book and already got over the rainbow done with but a tip from me is play the treble clef or base clef and take your time but in 3 days i was already playing over the rainbow!!!
I was going to practice over the rainbow with my teacher 2 days ago but the laptop lagged so bad I literally had to skip that part and do it next week.... lol
I practiced OTR and Have Yourself...Christmas for hours every day for two months. They're both solid now! So excited. Now working on this one and loving it! Thank you for your splendid videos.
Thanks, this was a big help to me. I’m trying to learn this song but every time I look at it my mind goes blank. But at least now I know I’m heading in the right direction. 😁
nostalgia.... played this long ago as a child....
I finished this book a few weeks ago. I've moved onto Alfreds 2 and I'm having way more fun with the songs in that book compared to this one.
Your videos definitely helped out quite a bit. Thank you so much.
Would you recommend book 2? I’m nearly at the end of book 1 but finding it tough going.
@@juliasampayo6330 Hey Julia.
Keep it up! It's awesome that you're almost done the first book. That's some good progress. Alfred's definitely has some tough sections but if you commit to it, I'm sure you can succeed.
I definitely recommend working through the 2nd Alfred's book (or Piano Adventures if you're looking to switch things up). The first bit of Alfred's 2 starts out considerably easier than the end of book 1, so if you're looking for a few easy weeks of study to get you back in the right mind set, you'll definitely get that. Once you get past that portion, the pieces do get more challenging; however, they're less cheesy and hokey than the pieces in the first book, so you'll be more motivated to work your way through them. Also, there's a comprehensive reference section in the back which I found to enough alone to justify purchasing the second book.
Hope this helps!
@@benjaminhedley1952 thank you, I think I will get it, I’m just about conquering Amazing Grace so a rest from the more difficult pieces will be welcome, a good few weeks yet but progress is there.
@@benjaminhedley1952 have you finished part 2 ??
Your videos are amazing! Amazing Grace is the final song in my edition of the book and it felt so good to finally reach it today! Your videos have gotten me through it every step of the way. I am so thankful and very excited to start Book 2 soon. Thank you!!
Keep it up man, started it this week as well!
blow the man away was the first real block i had through the book, but this is definitely the second. my coordination is being put to the fecking test
Amazing thank you!!
thanks for play these lessons. They help me a lot in the keyboard assignments. Anyway, thanks!
I’m almost done with this book and I’m stuck on that song so I have to get off my iPad to play those notes and then get back on to memorize the other ones and play those notes...
Thanks for making the vid by the way!❤️❤️❤️
You're awesome!
Thanks for your help
YES!!! I finally finished the book! I think my mom is gonna get that new book soon! Thank you so much for making this video and your channel is my fav!

@@jamessaras2641 why
Beautiful! I love the chord with the Eb in it.
Thank you! ;-)
I think those arpeggiated chords are the hardest challenge in this song.
Great
The arpeggiated notes are so kill'in me
This helps me get ready to play for piano class
Hi, Dhanvita. I didn't know you played piano
Yeah I have a channel u can check it out
I saw your channel and then I looked a the vids... that’s a lot of songs ya played there
I believe you are playing the triplets more like two 16th and 1/8.
@EniaPiano, how do you keep your metronome quiet (just visual signs for the beats)?
Are you sure about the not mentioned swing ?
Elena, Are you totally Self taught?
Excellent! But Do you know that your wrist position is placed too low?
Amazing Grace is rather a very fun song and it’s the same with the song before that, The Entertainer.
I just can't do it. After the 1st part i just can't. I try to play according the sheet and then see your video and is something completely different. =(
Does the book have complete sheets music for this song
Amazing pianist....i think if u make us show the notation as well will be much better.
It's funny for this song to be the last since it's a famous end credit song for movies and shows
I just did 1 hour yesterday so I did 20 minutes for today
My foot is stuck at the edge
This revealed me
! FOR EVERYONE LEARNING THIS ONE! those 4 notes ( E D C E) at the end of those bars are played incorrectly in this video, the notes have to be equally long unlike they're played in this video, look up amazing grace the song itself and you'll understand what I mean
Can you explain yourself better?
Bruh what about left hand f a c e ?
👧
👗👍 GREAT! Keep it up
👟👟
I’m done with my piano for today
When I hold the pedal for the whole notes for like the whole entire song it sounds creepy...
But I’m sure I’ll get use to it
I should probably get back to practicing my piano now sense I’m almost done
did u finish? Im on Amazing Grace right now looks like from here I'll just be learning more pieces
That’s why it’s called, “play test”
gg alfred
Why is it on the 9th measure, there is a natural sign on bass (D and natural F)? There is no flat or sharp F in front of it???
Ca Nguyen sometimes beginner books will do this just as a reminder not to play the sharp or flat from the previous measure
@@bryannatungate3517 I see. Thanks!
What am I doin here?😅 im still on blow the man down hahaha

How long did it take to get the "rolled" arpeggio and the accompanying triplet right? :-)
Adnan
I gotta stretch those fingers out real wide
My mom said I had to play piano for one hour because I chose to not do thirty minutes of piano last night but I like have twenty-six minutes left or something...
You should play because it brings you joy, not because your parents force you to
My piano teacher calls the “triplets” “one and a's.” It might sound weird but don’t judge how me and my teacher say it
:50
It’s not that scary it’s just like a little bit
And you can fail the test if you don’t play the games
That Bb sounds out of place
It’s just words and games and stuff
Anyways Ima play someth'in on roblox so, cya
Also my brother is playing a horror game....
I just happened to pick this song by this pianist to make this comment so please don't be offended. As a beginning piano player, I often go to You Tube to see how one of the Alfred songs is played. But that's the problem! The pianist plays the song in regular speed. If a person asks for a song from Alfred's Book 1, there's a very good chance that he's a beginner. Why can't we have someone advanced play a song very slowly, like one note per second, so the beginner can see what note is being played and with what finger. The pianist could even say, "and the thumb will go under and play the A."
If you've made it this far in the Alfred books then you should be able to just read the music.
I agree Bobby. I do agree with the response too. But yeah...hint...
There is a "slower" version of alfred on youtube. Usually is with this (clips).
Now this is a dumb comment because you can literally slow the video down
There’s a channel called “Let’s play piano methods”, this guy does every piece of the book described in the way you describe it (metronome@60). Also, before playing each song he goes through the complete song commenting on the things to learn from it.
I’m actuallly visiting this channel @EniaPiano for hearing the song as it sounds at normal speed. Thanking @EniaPiano for making all the effort of putting all the songs on CZcams!
This version by Alfred is in my opinion not solemn enough. Don’t like it at all. I am still looking for a better version.
The legs lol
