Here's a breakdown of how Sangah figures out the song by ear on our blog >> www.pianote.com/blog/rush-e-sangah-noona/
Hi! I love this channel because there are so many tutorials of really popular songs, like Taylor swift songs, which I love so much and I can learn it with the sheet music! It’s so hard to find popular sheet music for free and have awesome tutorials on the song I’m learning! I have a a sign request, Cruel Summer, by Taylor swift. It’s one of my favorite songs and super popular too! I hope you guys can take the time and make a video on how to play Cruel summer! Thank you so much!
Curious to see the sheet music of Sangah Noona rush E.
who the hell, and how the hell came up with Rush E?
Is so hard but I did it!without looking
Youuuuuuuuu
Amazing! Having those top tier aural skills is so useful for transcribing and composing - and I love Sangah's take on it :D
the way she got creative and turned it into something of her own was like watching magic happen
Sangah s insane, she learned the song so fast by itself
Now it’s got an official seal of approval
the man, the myth, the legend.
The creator approved. Truly a legend.
This was so much fun! It’s always great to be in the Pianote studio! 😉👍🏻
We love working with you Sangah! You are amazing🤩
Sangah, I'm sitting here in my living room replaying this for my brother, Rick. He is sitting there, wide eyed, fixated, and just said ".....daaammmnn...". Then he smiled and shook his head.
Yeah, he's subscribed. 😎👊👊👊❤❤
Fantastic job Sangah! The way you analyzed the structure of Rush E was truly impressive 👍🎹🎼🎵🎶
True Musician! 😎
I have watched this over and over and will continue to watch it over and over. You're the best!
Honestly, the thing I love the most about this is how Sangah was clearly enjoying how utterly barmy the song is. She's already got a huge grin on her face as we head into the second B section and then just breaks as the "DUN! DUN! DUN! DUN!" keyboard slams happen, then she sees this wall of notes coming at her when the key changes and she just starts laughing even harder and even mimics the "EEEEEEEEE!" at the end.
Thanks for transcribing the reaction, I am blind and deaf so reading this helped a lot

The jazz version has so much character and uniqueness. This was absolutely incredible!
It's so beautiful!
The best part!
It's mind boggling how Sangah could dissect that song so quickly. Then play it through and make it even better with her own special flair. What an incredible artist we are all blessed to watch.❤
I remember her playing the Star Spangled Banner for the first time, by sight reading. "Da-da-da-da- da-da. Ok, I think I got it." She nailed it!
E
Not really, it's just being a musician
must have been a common chord progression (in different genre)
The video was edited, not in real time. There was no way to tell how long it took her.
If you didn’t already love Sangah, this would make you love her now. She’s an absolutely brilliant musician….and she’s fun, too.
Definitely!
love doesn't require anyone to do something, that's so disrespectful

I need to learn this song.
Damn, this will be cool
And do it while looking at the camera!
Yess
Omg please do. Stare into our soul while playing it!
Lendario lord
what I like about rush E is. even at the end where everything seems random. you can still hear the harmonics. this is pure talent to make a song with so much caccophony yet still being enjoyable
most of the notes near the end are extremely quiet, nearly silent
Thank Andrew Wrangell for creating such an insane song!
Wow… Sangah’s Rush E performance (including the jazzy variation) blew me away 🎹🔥
She is amazing!
Me too! I watched after you, but I'm probably right behind you. Loved the jazzy version. True Sangah.
It is absolutely impressive and entertaining watching a professional perform Rush E. And it looked like she was having a blast. Great stuff!
She was having sooo much fun!
That was fun. I love how she really doesn’t judge the song but takes it for what it is - a meme. Her process of recreating it was so fun to watch. I loved her rendition at the end when she stopped restricting herself to the simple chords of the original and just improvised.❤
The thing that's interesting about Rush E is how it is not a piano piece, but a MIDI piece. It uses the full power of MIDI as a format to compose percussion within the boundaries of the piano synthesizer as a MIDI output.
Yep! Literally impossible for a single human being to play without many, many edits!
That jazz e version is really great, thanks for it! ☺
It's beautiful!
Love her attitude and message! Despite being an expert and master of her craft, she approaches it as a learning opportunity and is so humble. We're never too good/too big/too wise to learn something new.
"I know that I do not know."
Her notes had fewer than 5 bars and she played a whole composed song with an improvised piece at the end. Exceptional!
If you watch her weekly livestreams, you will know that she does this (i.e. improvising with a lead sheet) on a regular basis.
Sangah is not just any professional pianist, she's totally unique, I have never seen anyone play the piano like she does.
If your head is spining watching this as a non-musician ...don't feel ashamed ...you are NOT alone. 👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏
even as a musician my mouth is open !! she truly is an elite pianist
@@zylophonia ... Thank you for honoring this wonderful person. 👍
I love seeing professional and classically trained pianists attempt this piece. I learned this from the synthesia tutorial alone, so it is nice to watch. It's interesting to see her own rendition of the song. Thanks for sharing! 🎹❤️🇪
Oml I can't believe I see you here lol
@@Pianist_CH It's a small world 🤣 I saw this comment 2 weeks ago, but I forgot to respond. Wishing you all the best :)
@@RyanBentz thanks man you too
The jazz rendition was sooooo freaking awesome!
Completely agree!
I love how she just throws her head back and laughs at the insanity of this song. I was expecting her to get to the end of listening to it and go "this is impossible", because in reality it IS impossible, but then she played it beautifully! I also loved the "Jazz E" version that she played on the spot.
It's really cool to see how she uses dynamics to mirror the overall structure of the original. Where the original as layers of notes, she plays the notes louder.
Two different ways to accomplish the same end goal: adding intensity.
Sangah's musicianship is on another level. Her improvisation with this Rush E piece makes me recall her doing the same with Chopsticks. It was wicked brilliant!
I'm quite flabbergasted.
Not only does Sangah figure out the chords and melody, but her first "full" attempt at the song includes attention to the details of the dynamics!
I think, that’s where singing melody out helps tremendously, by the time she figure out every thing the dynamic probably was internalized through the singing.
im honestly impressed in the time it took to memorize and be able to play all of that
"Can we still be friends?!? 🤤"
That was hilarious, Lisa.
Yeah.....she is that good. Thank you folks for bringing Sangah's genius to a large, knowledgeable audience at Pianote. Maybe that million subs is not too far away.🤣👍❤❤❤
Jazz E is so beautiful! Shows what a true musician she is, she doesn't just imitate the original, she makes it her own ❤
What a captivating eight minutes of pure musical entertainment! Plus, you really picked a winner (Sangah Noona) to drive home a quick yet FULL lesson on learning a song. I especially loved the way Sangah improv'ed at the end! She is one Jazzy girl! 😊 Thank both of you so much for putting this video together!
Sangah has a great personality. She did an amazing job for this challenge. Wish she was my teacher.
That was amazing! 🔥🔥🔥 and thanks for the lesson - don’t give up! 🧡
Sangah Noona is the most amazingly masterful musician I have ever seen and heard anywhere. The things she does musically completely astound me. This video is another outstanding example of her incredible Musical talents. Simply wonderful Pianote and Sangah. Thank you.
The JAZZZZZZZZ this woman can play is just... wow
Very refreshing video format! Thanks to Pianote studio and Sangah Noona! Invaluable tips as always.. Listen, really listen, analyse, internalise, personalise.
We love Sangah Noona. Please bring her back to Canada. ❤
How can anyone dislike this? I can't see anyone playing like that
Probably because it was mediocre, no offense

Talent + humility is a winning combination. That jazz version was 🔥
I love you Sangah. Here I am in my living room cheering and clapping like it’s some sport and you just scored the winning goal!!! It’s such a joy listening to your amazing piano playing!!! Bye, I’m off to the piano to continue with your Moonriver lesson!!!
I just found Sangah's CZcams station and started listening to her like LAST WEEK! She is AMAZING!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I grew up learning with Suzuki method as well as learning lots of traditional/folk tunes and i can for sure say, she doesn't sound like a "suzuki kid" to me.
I also think that her "jazzified" Rush E is awesome and she sounds *so good* when she stops trying to reproduce the original and starts to fool around with the music instead
Jazz E is BRILLIANT!!! Thank you so much Sangah for creating that. That was so easy on the ears and smooth as butter. Thank you!
Sang is truly a Master Musician in every way.
Completely agree!
All Synthesia arrangements look like that to me. This pianist is beyond amazing! Thanks!❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
Love how you can still hear here own melody and style show through, she took the most impossible song ever and made it totally approachable and more beautiful somehow. Took it from meme to a true classical tune!
She is so amazing and so inspiring… Jazz E is definitely something I would want to listen on repeat! Thank you for such a great vid ❤ what a great collab
Sangah is such a master but humble in the face of things even she can learn from. I like the advice to listen and not to rush into playing, I'm going back to my fur elise practice though...rush E is a bit mental haha.
Gorgeous rendition! Love the creativity.
I really love the cheeky little extra beat she put in between there at the start of it making it a bit waltzy :p Also that jazz version just became my new favorite rendition of Rush E.
This video is amazing. Sangah's reactions are so sincere and joyful. It's wonderful. She has a lot of simple buy effective lessons for everyone, and the little editing touches like playing a super fast version while showing the time lapse was great. I never knew I needed a Jazz version of Rush E. Thank you for giving her the time to practice and experiment!
Really enjoyed this video. Sangah is Awesome!!! 😎
You nailed it Sangah! Never a doubt.
What an amazing person she is, a pure talent with a very long years of practice
As a pianist, I can confirm, Rush E is entry level for all ages.
The technique is remarkable in a good pianist as well as in a good painter poet etc, but to make a beautiful jazz arrangement out of it.. Well, Sangah did it again! Excellent work!Sangah ,Force boom here!
Omg! As a beginner on the piano I love learning from Lisa but this was insane! Loved it! Especially had fun watching Kevin panic 😆 lol. Thanks for making my day!
Thanks for watching!
yess! i was watching lisa's tutorials when i was figuring out how to do my two hands ☺️
she's an incredible teacher and she seems like a fun person to vibe with!
At least give her the music sheet.
Bravo 👏 👏👏👏. Just beautiful so see someone master a skill so completely.
Wow, she’s great!! So fun! I hope you all will do more of these!
Thank you for watching!
We need a series of song deconstructing. To know how to analyze a song for a cover
This is a great idea!
This was absolutely amazing!
Smiled at her first rendition, then had tear with the end version.
She is so talented!! 😍
Amazing - both versions of it! Not really a fan of the piano's tone, but she played it so well!
Loved watching this! Her hand movements are as mesmerizing as her brilliant mind.
I need a full version of this interpetation, this was insane!
Excellently done. Even an impossible song is no problem for expert musician Sangah!
Loved the jazzier, less frenetic version, which was a pleasant surprise! 😊
She completely surprised us! It's a beautiful arrangement.
I fell in love with the jazz version !! amazing !
Her joy and enthusiasm are so infectious! I love it!!!
Sangah is a true pianist, a true musician, a true artist 👌 This is a win for pianote 👍😀👏👏👏
What an incredible performance 🎉

OMG I love her version! She's amazing!
Brilliant, loved it! 😍💖
Sangah is the bessttt! that was amazing!!! :D
love watching awesome musicians how they practice, it gives me idea how to practice effectively
This is awesome! Well done!
Impressive!!! How could she do it so fast!??
It probably looks fast on youtube but she probably had to take some time. The video is edited. We didn't see all the process.

This piece isnt that hard, especially if you are a professional.(Im not taking about the impossible 8hands part later on)
Because she is Asian
Just beautiful playing.
That was really cool and i also loved her jazz variation she did
Sangah definitely had a blast with this one.
Also, I’d love a pdf or at least a midi of her variation of the piece.
Was super cool.

Amazing, she's so good! Really nice to see someone who doesn't just play the music but seems to really feel it. I love that!
Sangha was awesome! Her own version gave me goosebumps all over. Such an amazing rendition in an extremely short amount of time. Great job!
我覺得有種江老師的 vibe 😂 她們可能可以當好朋友 XD
Love her! Insanely talented and skilled!
This was really cool! Love her jazzed up interpretation! My gosh, this makes me really want to see Hiromi Uehara go wild with this piece someday XD
she has such a nice vibe!
This was so entertaining! Very interesting to see which aspects of the melody she focused on as compared to my own listens. Worth liking!
Jaw-dropping! Sangah Force, BOOM!! 👊👏👏👏👏👏💯😊💕
Ditto!
this is so wholesome
There always something very special watching a pro like real pro playing something new and figuring out on the spot that just tickles a spot in my brain that I dont get to itch to often!! and this video hit that spot good, AMAZING Work and playing you are just god like and play in a very new but classic feel which added to the song!
Just Brilliant!
I love your energy😭💓
She's incredible!
So I'm not a piano player myself, however, I think I have a fairly unique relationship with it: My mom teaches piano, from preschool to highschool aged kids. So I'm surrounded by people who love playing the piano, especially with my mom. So I sent her this! First off, her reaction was that everyone wants to learn this song; aka, a lot of her students. But this is a great way to show this level of musical expertise to people who are good at the basics, but haven't gotten into composing or truly listening.
It's also a great lesson in how wrong notes don't break a piece. Slight imperfections are rarely noticed by the audience, and even so, they add a personal touch. And when you get to crazy songs like this, the notes will just fall apart... But it works, as long as you have the base of the song still there. It makes the piece feel complete.
Thank you for showing us the thought behind each step, it makes me feel connected to my mom, in a time that we're not very close :>
This might be the most amazing video I've ever seen! WOW!
You are amazing pianist.
that was awesome!
No shame here in admitting I felt emotional watching this. For no other reason than appreciation of seeing a genius and master of his craft do what he loves the most.
It is absolutely a pleasure to watch.
Could you and Sangah pls make an entire video of the jazzy version? This entire performance was simply amazing! Subscribed.
Extraordinary!
