1)Download and Install HI-Suite: consumer.huawei.com/
2)Unzip the P40 Pro Hack Package
3)Copy the Backup Folder (Huawei P40 Pro_2020...) to C:\Users\USER\Documents\HiSuite\backup
Or on MAC: Download folder!!
4)Start HI-Suite
5)Enable USB File Transfer on your phone from Dropdown
6)Wait for Hi-Suite to detect your phone
7)Go to settings on your phone, search for HDB and Allow HDB Access for HI-Suite
8)Enter the code for authorization from your phone in the HI-Suite Software
9)Let Hi-Suite install the Hi-Suite App for your phone
10)Press Restore in Hi-Suite on PC
11)Chose my Backup File (3 Apps)
12)Press restore

2)Go to file manager

6)Login
7)Go to file Manager. INSTALL STEP 2
8)Check if playstore is ALIVE and google account is on phone

Very important note, I've done it first time and failed. Then I reset the device to factory default and did it again with the same procedure and everything is fine now.
Hi, i tried to reset everything to factory and I still fail at the Big G App. Is written in chinese but it actually says that the device is not supported. So I cant proceed further from the Big Purple G App. Really need help to install google on Matepad pro or is it because there is something wrong with the Big G App?

@@aclareman95 USB is the port. the common mistake here is many are calling it a USB when it should be a flashdrive for the storage and data cable for the phone to pc connector. I really thought for a second that I can do this with just a full charge phone and nothing else.

For some strange reason, despite I was following the steps very closely and making sure I was getting the same results on my phone as you, something would crash or not result as expected. It took me about 10 attempts to complete it but I was happy I was able to. For apps that require push notifications, they must be downloaded from the playstore on the same step on which you asked to download the device id app. You must access as you would normally do and then continue with the steps. This worked perfectly for me. THANK YOU FROM GUATEMALA.

i'm back here because i am looking for the video i was following for my P40. I bought the phone 2nd hand, 1 month old, factory reset and i found a google play installed. However, it is not working. So I removed all google that's already installed based on what the apk they have on the steps. then try to do the steps without finishing the last step and was able to have google play working. The last step when followed gives me the error so i did not finished it. Mine wasn't since it has a non working google when i bought it and i tried so many times before i got success, without resetting. By the way, this is not the video I was looking for. 😅 and he also said at the beginning that the phone needs to be fresh. 😅
Thanks TechMagnet...it took me almost 20 times of resetting & redoing on the matepad pro to get it to work...once its done it was definitely worth it...hopefully no issues in the future as well
Me too with my MediaPad M6. At one stage I'd lost all confidence in the Huawei. I just couldn't get past the Google Account logon.

Thank you for your tutorial. It finally worked on my Matepad Pro, and I had already tried 3 different methods. I think the trick was to upgrade the firmware. I tried your method and didn't work (same as previous attempts). Then, I upgraded the MIUI version, I tried your tutorial again, and it finally worked.

@@yang2013 it was something prior to 10.1.0.131, because two days after, an upgrade to 10.1.0.131 was available and I installed it. Forgot to mention my model is WiFi-only (MRX-W09), not LTE.

After 2 or 3 trial and errors, it worked for me on my new P40pro! Thanks so much! I had to download your linked file directly to my phone to access the step 1-4 folders and extract it on my phone (to root directory) because I was getting an error dragging and dropping it for some reason. I followed directions exactly after resetting the phone and it worked well.
JUST GOT IT!! P40 Pro+ is my second Huawei phone and I LOVE it! Thanks dude!

I think i made it. here is how i did:
1.Restart cellphone before install step4(if everything is fine before that)
2.after restart no notifications, google apps working but crash sometime
3.un&install step 4 and restart.

Worked! After trying the other new method posted which was really frustrating. I think the subtle differences when clearing data and cache made a difference so be careful to follow the instructions as per the videa. Great job!

I have a p40 lite,, tried it a couple of times to no avail. The Chinese app gives me a prompt wit two options it's like an OK /cancel box if I press the highlited text it just repeats the prompt if I press the other box it just exits. Any solutions?
Same here, but it was resolved. Reset your device to make it as you just got it. It resolved the issue and I can use play store now. Please do not give up! Fingers crossed.

@@lifiy7231 If the Chinese app is not working, resetting is effective. What I did is: Go to Setting > System and Update > Reset Tablet. Then your tablet will be initialized as you just got it. Please start tablet again, trying to avoid adding configuration as possible (it is mentioned at the last part of the video as well). It worked to me and I could do completely same as the video. Fingers crossed!

After 9 times about 4 hrs, it gets success. The most difficult step to me is login google account, always got fails or couldn't link to service, tried reset to factory, change wifi to mobile network or mobile network to wifi. 2020.07.02 mate 30 pro

Hi, this worked great for me, took me 4 attempts but got there in the end on my new P40 Pro. Here's some hints that helped me guys.
1. 1st problem I occurred was because I had transferred some data from my old mobile. Your mobile must be as opened new. Do as little as possible on it before following this tutorial.
2. At some stages I got error messages constantly coming up. Even at the final stage. I hadn't followed his instructions word for word in the correct order. Do everything in the correct order, even on the smallest thing.
3. I used winzip to unzip his downloadable files. When I used my PC application to do this it didn't work correctly.
4. If you fail, reformat your mobile back to factory settings. Turn off mobile completely. Hold on button and volume down. When Huawei symbol shows let go of power button, after a couple of seconds release volume down button. Then options come up to reset phone and delete cache files.
Hi Jervis, How long did the install last with out getting error notifications again. Mine lasted only a few hours, then started going nuts again with the notificaitons.
Robin Degetaire hi, I've completed it on both my mobile and now my wife's. Both have never had another error message.
When some of the attempts went wrong for me, it was usually as soon as I tried to open Google Play that I got error messages. If that happened I checked in my settings to to see if I was still logged into my Google account. If not I used the quick shortcut maker app to log back into my google account.
It was usually the last steps I had issues with, just be sure to clear your data and cache files a few times, when unistalling any of the apps he tells you too, even deleting them after you hit force stop, then going back and hitting force stop again before uninstalling.

Everything was ok until last night! The problem started when i intentionally logged out my account and when I tried to re-do what was taught in this video I failed and messed up..! When I tried to install HiSuite on my phone it says that the previous version that I used is incompatible. I factory reset my phone when I had that issue and it worked fine after that. But then I had an issue installing some apps, it said 'Issue parsing media' or something so then I updated to Android 10 and it worked
It took me several days to make it work on my M6. Continual rebooting might have been the answer.

Took me 2 hours and 6 tries to finally have it working on my p40 pro. One file from step 1 folder (number two) seems to be corrupted it can't be copied and it prevents other remaining files to be copied to the p40 root drive. I had to copy that one particular file from the other original folder and it worked. Phone works flawlessly now.
It's due to the character limit of the filename
Matepad 10.4 2020 version does not seem to work, lzplay shows "Device not supported".

@@viktorschapper3766 for my matepad pro it works, at first i encountered the same lzplay didnt work, i reset a few times, before reset u have to clear lzplay cache, then proceed to uninstall the file before u perform your reset. I did it that way, u must also ensure u do nothing else after reset, u dont setup wifi pass, dont enable any enhance service, dont roll back any backup data, dont sign in huawei id... 🙄 It worked me. Only after u copy the lzplay to your phone you may connect to wifi and run the lzplay. U may try a few more times.

Got the purple G icon working on a P40 pro I had to install the back up that puts the 3 apps on your phone before pressing the G icon I went into settings, about, device, tap build number 7 times to make settings developer options available and enable usb debugging mode, followed everything else had to repeat final 2 steps twice but now fully working, thanks
I only ever get the two apps when I copy the files to the backup folder. The GMS app I need is always missing

Mine never worked 1st time here but just seemed to freeze when I entered the password. It worked for me by swiping up, closing the app, then going back in and re-logging back in. 2nd time round it then went to the same stage his goes to (the screen with the next button on it).

Yeah. Welcome to my nightmare as well. I don't know if it was the continual rebooting, or jumping to Step 2 before I could logon to Google, but I was elated when I got through.

So, it took me a couple of tries but made it work, for some reason everything works fine until installing the last Google services apk, so I left the one on step 3 and it works, had to mute the notifications but apart from that, everything works. Kepp getting some warnings from some apps that my device is not play certified but the app still works. Does the job for now, got my like!

@@sarahmcalinden7880 I think this stuff isnt worth doing. i cant install google on my P40 Pro Plus and to be honest i don't care any more. i can still use gmail, youtube, Uber and ebay either with an alternative app or a Huawei browser shortcut.

Actually the errors stopped after step 14 but it came back after 15 n 16.

Most likely you have old cache files still on your mobile. You may have not followed a step in the correct order. This happened to me in the steps when you force stop and uninstall a file but clear the data and cache files before this. They must be cleared in the order he says. I reset my mobile to make sure it was blank before trying again.
i just fix all the issue. i reset device and set it to English (location & language)... i think it will be issue if you set the device in HK or TW (both i try is fail)

I had the same issue. I turn USB debugger and it work.
On the device, go to Settings > About .
Tap the Build number seven times to make Settings > Developer options available.
Then enable the USB Debugging option.
I have tried so many video tutorials for my Nova 7SE. Nothing works. The LZPLAY APP (Purple G ICON) not equipped for the latest EMUI 10.1.1. By the way, the Chinese error message means "Sorry. this is not currently supported"
i stop at step 14 and everything works fine. if i move on to step 15... notification re-appeared.

hey thanks for the steps etc, however I got to the point of opening the G app and got an error (in Chinese) where it says my device (p40 pro) is not supported, is there a different version and/ or is this G app definitely needed?

It takes trial and error but with that method you will face no errors and google framework will work allowing apps which require it too work like uber, food panda etc
You can disabled notifications, it's what i do

Certain EMUI is not long support. The current support version is EMUI 9 and 10. If your version is 10.1 or 8. Then cannot support anymore.

Reset your device 1st , then it will work. I had the same problem.
Had the same problem... Reset phone. After disconnecting from HiSuite, wait for about 20 seconds before opening the app.
I found the way, follow this...
1. Factory reset
2. Find hisuite version 510 to use it.
3. Follow same step in video
Root cause : a newest version of hisuite will force update backup app when you restore
