Countries with high crime-rate have a serious problem with current dashcams: privacy of information. If a camera gets stolen, the saved videos are not encrypted, exposing the owner's daily on-the-road routines to the worst possible characters in society. That may have no meaning to developers in safe countries, but it is potentially deadly for users in dangerous ones. It is so bad, giving up on resolution, frame-rate and battery life is an option that would certainly be accepted, as long as secure information can be ensured. And there is no dashcam manufacturer resolving that issue right now.

I am amazed that an in-depth review like this from a channel that appears to specialise in reviewing products could fail to mention the battery life and charging time, and interestingly this is not the only review of this camera which has failed to do so. My Eufy Floodlight Cam 2 Pro worked flawlessly for nearly two years but recently has been very erratic. About 1/2 the time, when I access the camera via my iPhone or iPad, it's pointing straight down instead of at the present default position showing my driveway, front yard, and front door. Eufy has been unable to find a solution. They just said I can buy a new one since my current one is out of warranty. Has anyone else had this problem? I've tried everything (recalibrate, restart, I even went up the later pushed the button on the back of the unit, and started the process all over from scratch. I'm frustrated because sometimes (1/2-1/3 of the time) it's showing the proper default scene but the majority of the time it's pointing straight down at the concrete of my driveway. Argh!! Help!
