Quick and easy performance improvement for Bullit hero 50

- This is a very simple improvement to stop the euro 4 emissions controls leaning out your mixture and helping give better response on a bullit hero 50.

Piaggio have a similar system on the euro 4 two strokes. Makes them run very lean.
On that system you can block the pump off like you have. Or pull out the live wire from the connector.

Let me know if you find it helps. Make sure you plug that pipe nice and tight so no air can get sucked into the carb. I found it helped.

Just took my first ride of the year and it was great👍🏼🙂 I was getting a little bord after a while tho because I’m was slowing down traffic, but I’m hoping to find out how to derestrict👍🏼
I tend to ride in the evenings when the roads are a lot quieter

@@nitrorory second owner, no tube coming from carb, just from the thing under the cover, also mines got fuel tap and choke on left side.
@@rsf6309 So it still has the gulp valve under the cover , so where does the tube from it go? Does the carb have the hose attachment with nothing on it ? It sounds like maybe the previous owner changed the carb, Is your bike derestricted ? Some dealers changed the carb when they derestricted them

Yes that’s right. I just pulled the pink one out of a connector so I can put it back in if I need to

is this a bike that is easy to tune if you want to improve a 50 cc to carry two people steeply uphill? and also improve max speed?

There’s no tuning parts available for this bike which is one of the reasons I sold mine.
It would struggle to carry 2 people at all never mind on an uphill.
For tuning you need a bike with the am6 2 stroke engine like Aprila rs50 , rieju rs3 like mine etc etc. there’s lots you can do to them.
Hi ! I have a hero 50 i have a problem with it . I have no spark with a brand new spark plug … and i forgot where do i plug the 2 wire on the coil . Can u help me ??

Hi sorry I don’t have this bike any longer. I don’t know what the code is for the oil filter. I can see one on eBay uk for £25 , which isn’t cheap as they are very tiny.

Hi, do you know how to derestricted it?... Saw on a blog, remove the bridle and cut the pink wire but found it hard to follow as English was not his 1st language...

Hi yes you are right , you disconnect a little section of wiring under the seat that just unclips , then pull the tank back to see the wiring under a black plastic cover. In there is a plug with a pink wire going to a grey one in one of the connections - pull either pink or grey out of the connector block and you’re derestricted 😃

@@alwalsh6831 no problem I’m sure you’ll manage it just fine. They are fun bikes for sure , as long as it’s not windy or you’re tackling big hills they go just fine and it’s fun revving them as the engine is so smooth.
@@nitrorory Hi again, so got the bike and love it, have added a black tube shaped tool bag under the headlight and have ordered hand guards (mx style).. And after a good bit of looking and zooming have ordered a 2nd hand engine guard off a 125 bullit from ebay!... Will fettle it on!... Loving it so far and can't wait to add the parts, might also get a handlebar brace and pad to compliment!

I’ve just purchased a 125 and it’s not idling as it should, it tends to die if I don’t rev it a few times
I don’t have any experience with the 125 but you could adjust the idle screw on the carb to turn the idle up a few times

@@danscram the screw nearest the air filter is the air screw. Screwing in means less air and richer mixture. Screwing out is more air and leaner mixture for idle.
You might need to tweak this a little to get it to idle right
