Where did you buy it I’m just outside Edinburgh and how much do they cost
@@thomasthomas896 i bought it online used, and used a courier to bring it to me
@@nitrorory If you don’t mind me asking what do used price would you expect to pay
Is that right you can’t De restrict the new ones ?
Would love to see you do some more video’s on this bike 🏍
Hi, I’m new to all this 50cc world. Car driver and looking for a 50cc, You said you have upgraded the engine. Does that mean you have a full motorbike licence? As when I check what I can ride on my car licence without L plates or CBT is just a 50cc or a Tricity 300. Thanks
Yes for anything bigger than 50cc you need a cbt or higher.
Nice video, just bought tzr too not too long ago, wanted to ask on what rpm's do you usually ride?
On the setup I had it would have power between 7000 and 10000rpm
HOW DO I TURN THE LIGHT OFF AGAIN LOL ITS DOING MY HEAD IN
What light? The little red motorbike symbol? It should disappear on its own
Can you confirm that the ECU from a nsc 110 fits this and that you get a higher engine speed ?
Yes an ecu from a 110 up to year 2017 gives another 1000rpm
How much does it cost to charge?
I’ve never actually worked it out but I’ve seen people on the cypher Facebook page reckon it’s something like 40p
I charged mine and watched the smart meter at home was went up to 7p to 8p per hour and took 3 hours to get from 15% to 100%. So I'd say from completely flat to 100% prob 30p. I do around 28 miles to charge on mine derestricted. So around 1p a mile.
And then you don't show how fast the scooter goes.I mean what good is all that if you can't tell what the improvement is
I’m sorry that my FREE advice isn’t good enough for you xxx
You talk way too much
Love you too xxx
With charging can I charge it at instavolt points ( charging station for electric vehicles) or do I have to charge at home just scared to buy as I live in a flat
Sorry I don’t know if you can do that - as it comes you can’t. You might be able to buy an adapter , you’d have to contact a dealer or lexmoto to ask
Will this work on the latest model?
Yes works on them all
@@nitrorory even my LXR se 71 plate ?
@@Milldog2023 he never answered that one! huh
Woah I can’t wait till I finish my school to get one (I have it prised!) and I’m sure I will buy 70cc swapped version. Do you have any advice or warnings about the machine? Ps. What’s the top speed 😂
Mine did about a max of 60mph / 100kmh
So hard to find a 110 cdi/ECU nowadays :(
That sucks :( I suppose there’s less of these bikes on the road now, as you’ll need a 110cdi from before 2017 when the model changed. It doesn’t make as much difference as the variator anyway, that’s more important
@@nitrorory Thanks for the info, could be useful! I bought an nsc50r couple of months ago and it's haunting me! 🤣 Seems to have 110 clutch and driveshaft but no engine mods, runs sweet as a nut but hits the limiter at 15mph 🤦🤣 I found a honda wave 110 cdi, runs absolutely spot on with that apart from the fact it won't start on the button, have to drill the flywheel to get it to start 🤣

Like the lecki bike m8 is the insurance cheap
Not as cheap as other bikes I’ve had because not many places insure it. On compare the market I only got 4 companies that would insure it.
Is carb original?
No I had a polini CP 21 on this bike
is this a bike that is easy to tune if you want to improve a 50 cc to carry two people steeply uphill? and also improve max speed? thanks, trying to find a moped great for tunning with a more classic look than a dirt bike..
There’s no tuning parts available for this bike which is one of the reasons I sold mine. It would struggle to carry 2 people at all never mind on an uphill. For tuning you need a bike with the am6 2 stroke engine like Aprila rs50 , rieju rs3 like mine etc etc. there’s lots you can do to them.
this bike is so cool! But now in 2024, where to find it? I am in Sweden and they never heard of it.. I called a store I think in Amsterdam and they said is sold out.. Does anyone knows where one can order this within the EU today? thanks for the video!
Have you find?I’m also looking for dealer in Europe..Croatia
@@user-gq8xm6on1y i found one in Holland but he really did not understand the laws of EU, that they are the same! So he thought it was illegal to buy in Sweden, which it is Not! Good morning. Thanks for your films. Oil filter and its markings? I am in Lithuania and there is very little information on this motorcycle. Thank you.
Hi sorry I don’t have this bike any longer. I don’t know what the code is for the oil filter. I can see one on eBay uk for £25 , which isn’t cheap as they are very tiny.
Спасибо!!! Да, маленький, но дорогой 😊
Do you think this is a good 1st bike to have just got my CBT..
Yes as long as you don’t plan to go more than 20 miles on one ride. A 125cc is ultimately faster, this tops out about 45mph, a 125cc should do about 60mph
I am considering this or the Grom for my first bike. My biggest concern would be the gears. I have a car and would predominantly use that for daily commuting, so the range of the Cypher wouldn't bother me - it would purely be for recreational use and nipping to the shops etc. Would you recommend going for the electric first and then using the Grom once I've got used to biking in general, or just going straight for the Grom?
Go benelli tnt or sinnis akuma
What's that electric whining sound?
It’s the noise the cam chain makes on these twin cam engines I think
Good info right there 👍
Thanks dude ☺️
Told you its better derestricted, Just remember to put it back on when you take it in for servicing Hope your enjoying it buddy
Yeah I’m enjoying it a lot, great little bike around town 👍🏻👍🏻
Nice looking thing. What is the price of insurance compared to something like the hero? Can you remove the limiter yourself?
The insurance was roughly the same, for me it’s about £100 a year. There’s a lot less companies seem to insure it though , take it they don’t all do electrics. Yep you can remove the limiter easily by turning the throttle and pressing a button I believe , mines already done. Might stick a quick vid up how to do it
I couldn't live with that dreadful range. Shame cos it looks a good alternative to a Grom for messing about on
Yep it’s a very small range , 20-25 miles is common. If your commute is short or you just want to mess about it’s fine but petrol is just so flexible
Brill well done mate, give us a ways in all over time, I'm taking interest👍🍻
Hiya thanks for watching ☺️
Sweet ride mate, told you the cypher was good enjoy the bike and keep me updated
Hi buddy thanks I’m enjoying it. Fun wee thing for town 😀
Have you still got the Hero?
Nope sold that a while ago. It was a fun bike and I kinda miss it
I'll NEVER do electric vehicles 😆 🤣 😂
They have their place but I love petrol too! Still got the 2 stroke don’t worry
I said that then had a drive in a Tesla S P100d….. mind blown
@@exgtt2061 Tesla performance is crazy isn’t it. You can hardly focus ahead they accelerate that quick
Stark Varg out there beating all petrol bikes in its class, 450s cant even keep up with it lmao and it lasts longer than you can sit on it for so range ain't an issue.
Nice one Rory, from smoker to leccy!
Still got the 2 smoker 😜
Did you use a full bottle?
Nope didn’t take much , tiny engine
hi i really want to get this bike as im turning 16 soon but whats the reliability like as i dont want to break down on the road 😂 and whats the acceleration/ torque when restricted as ill keep it restricted so i dont get a ban from riding or anything 😂
I had no reliability problems. I’ve heard they don’t like the rain , it can kill the coil and engine will cut out. The acceleration when restricted is exactly the same - derestriction just lets it keep going over 30mph.
hi rory how much hassle was it to put the 110 pit bike engine in the lexmoto as want to put one in a lexmoto hunter 50 but don’t know about the wires from the stator many thanks . neil
It was a doddle. I ordered the engine from ooracing and they give you the option which stator you want - you want the one with 2 white wires I think from memory. Then just pop the connector from the old engine onto your new wiring. Otherwise you need to buy an engine then get a stator with the right wiring to charge battery and run lights etc
Such a pretty chassis that Riejiu! How do the front forks feel? How much do you weight if you don't mind me asking?
The front forks on my model are the Showa make ( think that’s how you spell it ) because it’s a pro model. I have no complaints with them. I weight 12.5 stone or 80kg
@@nitrorory Neat so I'm a little heavier than you. I was looking for one of those pair of forks, they were also installed in few more models but earlier than your Riejiu. Also, if you allow me to make a request, could you please bring in your channel the Cagiva Prima 50 / Cagiva Mito 50? I love that model and I've been looking for one for sale for about 15 years now! They're pretty much the same bike except the Prima model came a little earlier with a proprietary engine made by Cagiva. The late model was called Mito 50 and had a Derbi EBE/EBS 50 engine, known also as Rabasa or Derbi Euro 2; Cousins of the Cagiva 50 were also the GIlera GP50 and Derbi GPR 50! Same chassis, engine, forks everything except the name. One of the most beautiful bikes I've ever seen.
@@att49356 the cagiva is a gorgeous bike but I’m afraid I won’t be buying one! They are too expensive for what is basically the same as I have , I saw one for sale here for £3500. Also extremely rare. If I won the lottery I’d buy one for the hell of it 😂
Moja ponad 120km/h jedzie na malinie
Aswell my bikes a 2013 model will any year ecu from a nsc110 work? Or will it have to be a certain year
110 ecu between 2012-2017 is what you want.
@@nitrorory is there any other upgrades you know of that I could to to increase the speed/acceleration of the bike? Thank you for your reply
@@groundkilla7325 nothing else other than buying the full and expensive malossi 83cc kit
I have just bought a 2013 Honda NSC50R and it’s slow slow I’m literally getting 12mph uphill will the variator give me a lot more speed or do I need the ecu too?
That’s really slow even by nsc50 standards. Sounds like maybe your CVT system isn’t changing down ratios properly to get up the hill. The polini or malossi variators make a big difference , I’d definitely recommend getting one
@@nitrorory how would I go about fixing the cvt would the variator fix that or is there another fix?
@@groundkilla7325 the variator could fix it - it could be as simple as rollers needing replaced. If they don’t move properly the variator won’t move up and down ratios properly.
@@nitrorory thank you for your reply’s really appreciate it
@@groundkilla7325 you’re welcome 👍🏻
Hello rory I have a question. What does the switch do in the beginning of the video?
It’s the choke. It blocks airflow to richen the fuel mixture. You need it on for cold starts
@@nitrorory thanks!
I have the same bike year 2013 24,000 miles on the clock very reliable never let me down sluggish on hill climbs but apart from that ok round town.
They are incredibly reliable. I see them for sale with 50k miles or more! Yes a bit slow on steep hills but you just have to try to get a run at them 😂
@@nitrorory I have know mods on mine don’t think it is worth it for the amount of gain you get from this, the only thing I’ve done is derestricted that is all. to gain about 5mph to 35mph but this is pushing the engine at 35mph people mod these but are not thinking the engine is not built for it it’s not a racing engine if you mod them with variator and things then you need to mod the engine ie the headset and things like I said the standard engine is not build for mods this is where people go wrong.
Get a classic 2 stroke like a ts50x or a dt50mx
I’ve had a few bids on ts50s but never won one yet. I do like them

Hiya, deffo start uploading again! I’ve got a Vespa ET2, 2 stroke. Derestricted with just an exhaust 45mph all day long. The motors are tough and parts cheap! That’s my rec 👍 £800 will get a low mileage minter. Just look underneath for rust on anything that’s done a few miles.
I’ve been looking at Vespa LXs actually! They seem to go well and I like the retro styling.
reiju 50cc two stroke ......if you like to do 28mph and changing gears quickly i would not bother.....check out motors for the masses they did a review on one and they are slow very slow and you can only put E5 fuel in it being a 2 stroke
I’ve got a rieju rs3 with that engine. It’s a brilliant engine , so many tuning options. It’s now 70cc with longer gearing and good fun :)

Hello, now a few months later is this still a good bike? What about the quality of motor and gears( and the rest😊) should i buy one like these? Greetings from Belgium
I’ve sold this bike now. I had it for about 1 year and probably did 1000 miles on it. It was fine during that time. The problems I know can happen is timing chain stretch on the engine, and the coil can cause spark to cut if it gets wet. Other than that they are good bikes
Thanks for the quick reply. Coil can cut? Coil of the sparkplug? Sorry English is not my native language 😂
@@dannysymons1192 yes coil that fires the spark plug can stop working if it gets wet. It seems quite common.
do you have kit ?
