Not sure who the original manufacturer is on this bike, but CSC was selling this as the City Slicker back from 2019-2022. They are no longer selling it, so perhaps licensing is now with Lexmoto. The display appears to be the only real difference. The CSC version was limited to 46MPH. I purchased mine with a bad BMS and upgraded the controller (as it would not run without the BMS). It can do 55MPH.
@@russbarrow yes the city slicker version had a larger battery and better range. I was interested in changing the controller on mine but don’t know anything about evs and was scared of killing the battery
The insurance was roughly the same, for me it’s about £100 a year. There’s a lot less companies seem to insure it though , take it they don’t all do electrics. Yep you can remove the limiter easily by turning the throttle and pressing a button I believe , mines already done. Might stick a quick vid up how to do it
I am considering this or the Grom for my first bike. My biggest concern would be the gears. I have a car and would predominantly use that for daily commuting, so the range of the Cypher wouldn't bother me - it would purely be for recreational use and nipping to the shops etc. Would you recommend going for the electric first and then using the Grom once I've got used to biking in general, or just going straight for the Grom?
With charging can I charge it at instavolt points ( charging station for electric vehicles) or do I have to charge at home just scared to buy as I live in a flat
Yes as long as you don’t plan to go more than 20 miles on one ride. A 125cc is ultimately faster, this tops out about 45mph, a 125cc should do about 60mph
I charged mine and watched the smart meter at home was went up to 7p to 8p per hour and took 3 hours to get from 15% to 100%. So I'd say from completely flat to 100% prob 30p. I do around 28 miles to charge on mine derestricted. So around 1p a mile.
Stark Varg out there beating all petrol bikes in its class, 450s cant even keep up with it lmao and it lasts longer than you can sit on it for so range ain't an issue.
Would love to see you do some more video’s on this bike 🏍

Nice one Rory, from smoker to leccy!
Still got the 2 smoker 😜

@@thomasthomas896 hi I’ve actually sold this one I’m afraid! It was just a bit small for me mainly! They are a good bike though and very nippy
Sweet ride mate, told you the cypher was good
enjoy the bike and keep me updated
Hi buddy thanks I’m enjoying it. Fun wee thing for town 😀
Brill well done mate, give us a ways in all over time, I'm taking interest👍🍻
Hiya thanks for watching ☺️
Nice looking thing.
What is the price of insurance compared to something like the hero?
Can you remove the limiter yourself?

Go benelli tnt or sinnis akuma

Sorry I don’t know if you can do that - as it comes you can’t. You might be able to buy an adapter , you’d have to contact a dealer or lexmoto to ask
Where did you buy it I’m just outside Edinburgh and how much do they cost
@@thomasthomas896 i bought it online used, and used a courier to bring it to me
@@nitrorory If you don’t mind me asking what do used price would you expect to pay
Do you think this is a good 1st bike to have just got my CBT..

Nope sold that a while ago. It was a fun bike and I kinda miss it
Like the lecki bike m8 is the insurance cheap
Not as cheap as other bikes I’ve had because not many places insure it. On compare the market I only got 4 companies that would insure it.
How much does it cost to charge?
I’ve never actually worked it out but I’ve seen people on the cypher Facebook page reckon it’s something like 40p

Is that right you can’t De restrict the new ones ?
I couldn't live with that dreadful range. Shame cos it looks a good alternative to a Grom for messing about on
Yep it’s a very small range , 20-25 miles is common. If your commute is short or you just want to mess about it’s fine but petrol is just so flexible
I'll NEVER do electric vehicles 😆 🤣 😂
They have their place but I love petrol too! Still got the 2 stroke don’t worry
I said that then had a drive in a Tesla S P100d….. mind blown
@@exgtt2061 Tesla performance is crazy isn’t it. You can hardly focus ahead they accelerate that quick
