  • How To Achieve Old Rustic Look With Chalk Paint.
I deliberately don’t mention any chalk paint brands. I live in France and buy and experiment with what it is available in my area. I like to see the difference between more and less expensive brands, mix them, using different brands on the same piece. Don’t be afraid to mix different brands once they are all chalk paint.

How good does the silver hardware look, I would've gone for brass or gold and spoilt it. Super result all round. Thank you.

Country Gray with Amsterdam Green + Baking Soda?!

    • @mycolorfulfrance

I normally mix only a base color with the medium. Here I applied two base colors: I used a darker gray of a cheaper brand to cover the original color following with country gray by Annie Sloan. All the other colors I used normally spraying with lots of water and dabbing off the excesses. Hope it helps.

Hi, i said in the description I didn't want to mention the brands but here you are: Annie Sloan Chalk paint: Country Gray as a base coat, Greens mixing: Amsterdam Green and Firle following with a bit of Arles. Then Coco chalk paint to the edges and the bottom; clear and black wax. Hope it helps. Let me know if you tried.
