The factory cct is spring loaded and needs a little lube every once in a while. Take the factory screw out, squirt in something slippery and experience the magic of lubrication.
Dont do that this guy doesn't know his ass from his elbow buy a manual cam chain tensioner and if you dont have confidence take it to a shop should only cost you 100 to 200$ ,300+ if they screwing you @@shreddhouse1458
I have a knocking on a new 2022 triumph scrambler 1200xc with only 2000 miles. Sounds like it’s coming from the top end. I’m concerned about engine damage. The knocking sound seems to be loudest and coming from the top end on the back side near the carburetors. My question is could valves make this particular kind of knocking sound and would an engine with only 2000 miles need a valve adjustment? Could you please take a quick listen to a very short video I have on my channel. There are only a few videos so it’s quick to find.
It's hard to hear for sure. Go to the 12 second mark and listen for the ticking when the hex wrench hits the frame slider. You can hear it stop and start again as it's tightened and loosened.
Definitely a change - listen for the tinkle/ticking noise. Think this video has helped me identify the same issue on my own 1997 Thunderbird 900. Lets see now how easy it is to fit a tensioner.
I can hear the difference clearly.. if yall not mechanically inclined and never messed with fucked up engines youll never be able to tell difference of the engine sounds..
It is pretty obvious..you can clearly hear the ticking of the chain when he backs off the Allen bolt & then the ticking chain stops when he tightens the Allen bolt

Wow that’s satisfying.... If only there was an adjustment screw for lower rod bearings.... 😂
In a perfect world my friend

The Middle scew?
Do you lock the engine or just remove the middle screw and put oil in

Me salvaste hermano gracias😅
¡de nada!
tighten it?
Did you have to remove the side cover while fitting the new tensioner?
Yes, you need to keep tension on the chain/adjuster while removing the stock tensioner so it won't jump a tooth.
did u change that chain ? and after change it, did the noise continue ?
Atanur Sakar no, just a new cam chain tensioner.

this is a worn cam, should replace it, sound its the same.
should sell that piece of shit.
hahahahaha
Theres no difference is sound, you cannot fix a worn cam chain by tightening the tensioner
Cam chain wasn't worn it was loose. The way you fix loose things is to tighten...
apparently you're tone deaf. and if you know anything about the FZ-09 you'd know this issue.
