I watch Turkish movies and soap operas all the time. These three actors are the best in the biz. I love Ozcan Deniz, he’s handsome and extremely talented. This movie was top notch. I’m so glad I watched it. I’m hoping the entire series of Istanbullu Gelin has English subtitles soon. Kodos to Turkish tv!

I could've left without leaving a comment but that would be an injustice...this is the reason why I watch movies from all over the globe, as long as they are closed captioned, that's fine with me...there are hidden gems out there...Hollywood does not have the monopoly of producing great films...gorgeous actors with exceptional acting abilities...more please

It’s true that Hollywood has lost its way and that good movies are few and far between... this movie from Ozcan Deniz was pretty good - Asli Envers was as lovely and natural as ever and Ozcan was his enigmatic self... (swoon worthy)... I’ve recently discovered movies from Turkey and have become addicted... the actors are very professional, all do a great job and there’s no foul language, nudity or graphic sexual scenes (they wouldn’t pass the official census board)... Turkish series are excellent and there’s a new site entitled TurkFlick that translates all of the latest series into several languages... (for a monthly or yearly fee)... the English sub-titles are very poor but I hope that with time they will improve, (I sent a message asking if improvements can be made)... but aside from this their series are so good that I don’t really care - I just adjust the translation in my head to fit the scene and it doesn’t stop me from watching them... Netflix now have quite a few Turkish movies and series that I’ve seen and am recommending to friends... have a great day!

redrockx1 I believe that Parasite won over some of the more famous directors’ efforts, which is quite a feat... haven’t seen it but have made a note to do so. I’ve also begun to watch some Spanish/South American (subbed) movies and their stories are almost as compelling as the Turks’, although they are a little more sensually explicit... Many Turkish movies are definitely made with young people in mind but others, like the one we just referred to, are for almost any age... “Second Chance” by DNZ is cute, totally predictable but enjoyable nonetheless... the family unit seems to still play an important role in their culture, albeit at times somewhat stifling, but nonetheless giving direction and support when needed... the Series I’m presently watching on TurkFlick is “İstanbullu Gelin” (The Bride from Istanbul) based on a true story starring Ozcan and Asli as well as a great ensemble of supporting actors - all doing a terrific job in making the series come to life as if they are real... here’s a synopsis of the series for your reading pleasure:

I agree with everybody Hollywood is worthless. A year ago I discovered Arabic movies in Netflix and then Turkish movies. Now I cannot watch anything Hollywood. Turkish movies are family movies and after I discovers Ozcan Deniz I am addicted to his songs and movies. Talented gentleman king of romance and he can sing. Asley Enver is a great actress and she does great romantic shows this is her second time working with Ozcan being his best half. Their 3 year series Istanbullu Gelin was great they were great couple they match. ♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️🥰♥️🥰

This is a remake of a Spanish-Colombian movie that came out in 2011. They did change some things in this version though. Both are really good!

Wow wow wow wow wow. Only watched this as I couldnt listen to sound and woah I am impressed this movie gripped and had me so invested. A movie where if I was at home I wouldve been yelling at the screen. Really worth the watch and for me to be able to get into it that much without sound was impressive!
