Jeff was a great enough guitarist to impress Jimmy Page, and was the greatest male vocalist ever!

There are a hell of a lot of musicians and vocalists who admire Jeff Buckley, a lot of actors too. He had musicians like PJ Harvey, Mike Doughty, Chris Cornell, Bono etc all write or sing tributes for him, you know he made a real impact.

Looking for Jeff reactions has become such a guilty pleasure for me😅
Nice to see you liking the mans undeniable, and way too Soon extinguished, talent🤘
He really did kick major ass.
You should give his live at Siné album a listen. A true masterclass in musicianship, solo on an intimate café stage.
    Fav Jeff album for me.
Cheers mate, and good luck in your CZcams endeavours🤘

Jeff’s or real name Scott’s mom said he as a child impersonated every sound he heard. Think this helped his vocal aptitude.

This video is a recording of the television program "Nulle Part Ailleurs" (NPA), on the French channel Canal+ (Paris), a program which was broadcast live every day at the beginning of the evening and which ended with a live music performance. Jeff Buckley was the musical guest on the show on January 19, 1995. Millions of French people were glued to their TVs that night as it was Jeff's first appearance on French TV. 6 months after this brodcast, I went to see him on stage at the Olympia. The best concert I've ever lived as a musician and human being.

The first time I heard him, it changed me forever. Not in a healthy way. Haha. I was a musician playing many nights a week in NYC and unfortunately (not his fault, but my own insecurities) I felt I could never show the feeling or passion he had in his songs. So I stopped. Haha. Moral of the story is, watching you hear this for, what I imagine is the first time, reminded me of myself. You start out questioning it. Move to, “oh, he’s pretty good.” And end with “my God, that was amazing!” I’m glad I’m no alone (although in honesty I knew I never was). Great reaction.

Correct, Jeff drowned in the Wolf River (a tributary of the Mississippi) in 1997.
Please react to his song, Dream Brother (Live in Chicago).
Also, on your own time, check out the BBC Late Show version of Grace; it is arguably even better than the NPA performance.
    God bless.

MojoPin1983 I love that BBC version of “Grace.” I like when she mentions his father, Tim Buckley, and he cheers in the. Background w raised arms. Check out the song by Tim Buckley, “I Never Asked To Be Your Mountain.” You’ll see share Jeff gets his voice from.

"Met" a guy online, and he sent me this song. As I sat there listening, I could feel my cheeks getting hotter as I started to blush, and my heart started to race. I could feel my hands shaking as my palms started sweating... It was one of the most... hmm... what word can I use... sexual? experiences I'd ever had, yet all I was doing is sitting there listening to my first Jeff Buckley song. :D Hope this wasn't oversharing too much.

Bloody hell, eh? Absolutely other-worldly. I actually like his Chicago live performance of “Grace” better than this one. And if you really want to see where he gets his voice from, check out his father, Tim Buckley. Also died at age 28. But not before he did “I Never Asked To Be Your Mountain” which is actually about Jeff’s mother and Jeff as a baby. He did a lot of others, as well. Find his OGWT performance.

Omg I love him so much. Glad you appreciated him. Check Buckley’s performance of same song from the live Chicago show, it’s better (IMO) and also from Chicago, his absolutely sublime “Hallelujah”. His father, Tim Buckley, from the 60s, had a very similar voice, sadly, also died at age 28, heroin. Check out his song, “I Never Asked To Be Your Mountain” which was about his relationship w Jeff’s mom and Baby Jeff. Whoa.

He did go to the Berkeley school of music. He could shred, play funk, soul, rock. He was kind of a Swiss Army knife for guitar, but he didn’t really show off in his music. I think he also could play all kinds of instruments too. I’ve seen him play stand up bass, drums, keys, and i know he had a little bit of a hand in arranging the strings for his album.
