Can we just agree that this is one of the best songs of all time...
yes, yes we can
YES
Agreed
Yes
It's a great song, but no.
pausing a Jeff Buckley song can be considerated as crime aganist humanity dude..
I know!
I agree
Lol, I know. I was getting into it and....pause..... getting into it....pause....lol. No... just more Jeff please...lol
How else is he going to break it down? Talking over it would be 10x more annoying lol
Agreed violently
I get goose bumps literally every time Jeff sings "all my blood for the sweetness of her laughter" in this performance! It's hard to explain why but it just gets me every single damn time, like falling in love and having your heart broken in the span of 2 seconds. God I miss you Jeff
now we must have mojo pin!!!!!
i second that!
Owen Hu the glastonbury version is the best in my opinion
@@thairlonilmatico8881 honestly, i just want to see him react to jeff's throat to falsetto transition in this same live session
For sure it has to be the Glastonbury version...
Oh yeah! Mojo pin in Glastonbury!
Yes! Jeff Buckley was incredible. So happy to see so many Jeff lovers here. Usually when I talk to people, they don't know him! That doesn't even make sense to me! You guys are my people! My Jeff tribe. The man was amazing, and he did whatever the hell he wanted to do. No live was really the same.
God, I loved that man so much. He died on my 18th birthday. I hope he is finally at peace. I soooo wonder what else he would have done, what else the world would have of him, had he not decided to walk into that river that day. 😢
We lost an exceptional artist and legend that day. More people need to hear him. His name should be instantly recognizable to everyone. He should never be forgotten.
Kris Gemini, I agree wholeheartedly, such a beyond tragic loss and accident! It’s so so heartbreaking that he walked into the river that day ( a river he knew well, by all accounts ) so full of joy, happiness and excitement, because he had just decided to propose to his girlfriend; only for a random and unexpected current to take his life 😢😢! A Genius gone way before his time...! His is a name that absolutely should, and I have no doubt will, go down in history with the ‘Greats’...Many schools in the UK actually study ‘Jeff Buckley’ in Music, alongside the likes of ‘Mozart’ and ‘Beethoven’, as a Modern Day Genius Singer/Songwriter, Musician and Composer ... And that’s exactly where he belongs! A strange coincidence occurred on the day he died however...His ex girlfriend ( the lead singer of massive attack ) who he had maintained a close friendship with, released the incredibly apt song ‘Teardrop’ that very day before she had even heard of his death; she found out that evening... And as a result, that song was/is dedicated to him. Also, a lot of Jeff’s songs ( and even some of the titles he chose ) were in actuality strangely prophetic in hindsight; as he often sang of death, not being afraid to die and love etc...Which only makes the songs all the more emotive than they were already, when he lived! A truly Genius Singer/Songwriter, Composer and Musician whose ‘ Legacy’ will live on through his inestimable talent!...May He Rest In Peace...🙏😢❤️🎶
This song got me through many heartbroken nights, playing it over and over and letting it soothe my tears. 💗💗💗 thank you Jeff
There would be days at a time where this is the only song I listened to. I still feel the heartbeak sometimes
Mojo Pin live at Glastonbury 95's it's something beyond human. He wasn't from this world for shure. I miss him so much.
I just watch these videos to see people's face when they hear Jeff's voice, and every time I'm hoping to see a "this man is an angel" on their faces.
Why have “vocal coaches” randomly started reacting to Jeff?
Davie Jones it’s some of the most technical male vocals and some great songwriting
Because his career was so short that fans will watch literally anything related to Jeff, and the vocal coaches somehow figured this out. It also helps that even though he isn't very popular, he's so good that non-fans can enjoy the vids.
Geo Y this is why I’m watching lol
@@itdoesntmeanathing me too lol
Geo Y I’m starting to find it a bit cash grabby whenever I see these in my recommended. I get that Jeff has a great voice but it’s starting to seem exploitative (then again it’s not like it’s the first time people have exploited Jeff’s name)
Mojo Pin Glastonbury next imo. Chills me in the delicate parts when you see 100,000 people listen quietly.
I was there !
Yes!!!
One of my faves!❤️ Personally...that "where-hhere-herr are you tonight" is why I fell in love with it...I feel like it sounds so unique to him. I'm talking out of school here but...his "technique" seems so simple sometimes...but unexpected & "unorthodox" in a beautiful way that only he could pull off💔 such a loss. Please..if you will be doing more Buckley..."everybody here wants you"🙏🏻 I beg. The sexiest song ever...(not written by Prince)🙏🏻🤞🏻
As someone who has sung this song live many times, it is so difficult to reserve your full voice until the end when you let loose. I think for Jeff, singing at the beginning in that lower breathy voice is tough live. He has such a tendency to want to go full voice and be big, boomy and then drive into falsetto. While it’s not the most difficult song to play on guitar, there is a little bit of an off timing to strum it right. Then you’re concentrating so much on the vocals it’s tricky. I think for a live performance, when you’re so full of adrenaline, this is stellar :)
This song is SO good!! It’s honestly one of my favorites ever
IM SO HAPPY YOU CHOSE THIS SONG!!!! Yesssssss more Buckley always!
You should do Jeff Buckley singing What Will You Say at Glastonbury 1992, his voice is simply amazing there
Nicola W was 1995 I think. Amazing performance that was though.
What Will You Say is my favorite... Such a beautiful song
I think that is the ultimate Jeff performance. Just nothing better than that.
More of Jeff Buckley please ''forget her'' ''last goodbye''
I was waiting for this! Got to know Jeff Buckley because of your channel and this song is my favorite from the Grace album! Greetings from Brazil!
Check out *Soul Train Bro* on CZcams. He and I have collaborated on a couple of Jeff Buckley reactions (4 songs each).
Additionally, subscribe to my channel. It is the most comprehensive channel on CZcams (besides Jeff’s official one) that is dedicated to the visual legacy of Jeff Buckley.
The grace recordings are the gold of his discography
Descobri Jeff Buckley por acaso e definitivamente ele é um dos meus cantores prediletos. Que perda para o mundo da música, tinha tudo para fazer história.
Glad you got to hear it man. This is the first album I ever remember hearing, and it's ruined pretty much all music since it because not many things quite compare to the soul in this album
Imagina ele no programa do Faustão e o Fausto falando por cima "Oloco, bixo". Só de pensar me deixa nervoso sem motivo haha
A lot of this was just the way he was born, a vocal ability passed down by his daddy. He was blessed with the voice of an angel. Now his guitar skills and lyrics are all him. He really knew how to get under your skin and tap into emotions. You really have to stop everything you're doing to pay attention.
Well said!
Jeff Buckley - Mojo Pin - Glastonbury '95 -next one PLEASE; by far one of his BEST perfomances.
You should do eternal life he rock screams his way through that one.
Jeff Buckley is the most talented singer to date. Yeah, I said it & I mean it. Love the man, the voice & the performance!
This song is amazing, and Jeff's voice conveys its story in such a powerful way. Thank you for your videos, it's great to see Jeff's voice being analysed :D
I really enjoyed this. LOVE Jeff Buckley. The best part is watching Adam react and smile to Jeff's performance.
I think on top of his ridiculous talent, some of the flexibility comes from Nusrat Fateh Ali Khan, and qawwali. I’ve been practising indian classical for some years and it’s great for the voice and musical scope.
do mojo pin, at the same concert. 🙏
Or from Glastonbury ‘95. The version on my channel is the highest quality one.
@@MojoPin1983 I prefer the Glastonbury version
Yes GLASTONBURY! That's the one!
Dude, that green sucks
Daniel Nunes I’m sure you will get over it
YAAAAAAAAAAAS ADAM!! I was waiting for this, thank you for reacting to more Jeff
Aylla everything about that concert and Jeff is gorgeouuuuus 😍
I love how transfixed you became during that performance. I’ve been listening to him for over 20 years and still get totally drawn in.
Thank you Adam for sharing Jeff Buckley's singular talent! May his voice be heard far and wide and forever...
Glad I stumbled upon your channel. Thank you for keeping the memory of Jeff Buckley alive and I will definitely be using these vids to help me become a better singer. Thank you much.
Yaaay! I was waiting for this video. I don't understand much about music but you talk in a really interesting way😊
A. Misham is so presise in describing on what J. B. was doing with his voice and I find it impressive, helpful and educational. A godgiven musician, vokalist and songwriter Jeff Buckley was and I am still sad about his depature from this life. Cherish the recordings, what he left behind, and will never grow tired of listening to him. R.I.P.
I’d like to hear u doing a cover of this Buckley song 🎵
Love these videos! Super big fan of this channel!!
So awesome you do this i would like you react to dream brother live in chicago cause is my favorite song thanks for doing this
I second this too :)
Yes !
"He just need a little release in his voice". Dude..
We'll be pleased to hear your version of "Grace" (the Album). If it's better, I'll come back here and retract.
This performance get's me everytime. I wish I could have seen him live..
Thank you so much for reacting to it! Great as always.
I'm watching this crying because I'll never be able to
Jeff is simply amazing. ❤
Love this vocal coaches breakdown of Jeffs amazing voice.
I get it if you're mainly sticking to video performances. However, you should definitely do one of his WHFS radio numbers. The WHFS versions of So real and Grace are two of the most impressive vocal displays I've ever came across.
Although his version of Grace live on GLR has to be his best recorded performance. Be sure to check it out, think you'd enjoy it.
@@alexanderforslund9880 Amazing acoustic performance; only him and his guitar (March 18, 1994)
Hell Yes! Been waiting for this.
Hi,at 2 .43 were Jeff sings that beautiful vibrato he sounds so incredibly similar to Anthony Hegarty ( AKA Anhonhy,he is now a she) .If you haven't heard him/ her ' Anthony and the Johnson's I' m a bird now' ..Very ,very beautiful album and for those of who like to sing ,well it's a lesson in vocal gymnastics ! Thank you I enjoy your videos a lot x
Have you heard his cover of Van Morrison's "The Way Young Lovers Do"? I'm not an expert but to me it is his most insane performance vocally.
Geoffrey Thiry-Baetens agree!
Fuck yeah
Next video about Tim Buckley? 😉
the quaility of jeff's voice is its hard to tell where he's falsetto or chest because of the voice character, that makes it really seamless
So awesome that you are critiquing his vocal ability. His creative expression is absolutely captivating.
My favorite Jeff's song with Grace, cannot choose! Please now do So Real, Jeff Buckley realize the performance of album in just one try!
Bruhhh the acoustic version is 10/10. That's the one that sounded the best.
Thank you, thank you, thank you!! More Jeff pls!
1000th like. Jeff is a legend. Its often skirted over that he's playing great guitar too
Jeff Buckley- mojo pin live in Glastonbury is one you should do. So much going on
Also do a-ha Take On Me - Unplugged version. It's amazing to me they're a one-hit wonder considering the quality of the guy's singing. It was recorded in 2017 and he's still clear as a bell.
Dream brother-live in Chicago
I like that songs a lot, very underrated Jeff song
live Bataclan is much better, too bad there isn't a video of it though
I love how you explain things, and give both examples of it, like, the way he did it and then another way of doing it beside his. I Just have a question, because I love Jeff, do you think he has a big volume of sound on his voice (I mean, a good projection)? And could that be the reason why sometimes he sings with his mouth more closed but we still can hear his voice so well? (Besides the sound technicians work, of course) Thank you for your vids, I truly enjoy n learn from them.
He was influenced by Edith piaf alot.
You could react to all his different live versions of the same song he uses his voice and guitar so differently in each it's amazing!
Check it out: All flowers in time with Elizabeth Fraser from Cocteau Twins.
She is sweet willow. He added that to this song after they met.
Love Jeff Buckley he is the best...he sold over 2 million copies of the Grace album think people love the way he sings...it's not technical it's passionate and raw...
The Chicago show isn't really the best display of Jeff's skills. Still incredible.
Goosebumps!
Man I really can't believe this guy's dissecting Jeff Buckley
Just looking 4 attention without an ounce of His talent
@@marcoalessandrelli2765 no kidding this guy's definitely no f****** Jeff Buckley
Doing any of Tim Buckley's (Jeff's dad) live stuff from the honeyman album would be so sick. Notably Sweet Surrender, Pleasant Street, Get On Top!!
Jeff is the GOAT 😍😍
Mojo Pin at Glastonbury would be cool
Great version of an epic song, Jeff is best male vocalist , period. Some great changes at the end of the song.
You did it daaaamn
cover the 'so real' acoustic version
totaly got to do the acoustic version of so real....
What lovers do from Live at Sin-e
SO REAL - Jeff Buckley, please
React to Tim Buckley - Come Here Woman LIVE!
I LOVE this song, but prefer the studio version. His best live performance IMO is The Way Young Lovers Do (Van Morrison cover) on the Live from Siné album. Maybe give it a listen sometime?!
Keep reacting to Jeff Buckley and try to do Tim Buckley as well
Dream brother song by Jeff Buckley please!!!
Yayyyy❤️
if/when you do mojo pin PLEASE do the glastonbury version
That was so real by Jeff is such a good tune... Just a hint hint, nudge nudge!
Please react and analyse to Eternal Life from the same concert, it's brilliant
The studio versions are better (Grace) and the road version from Grace (Legacy Edition). His voice is kind of flat at times during the Live in Chicago version.
There are better songs for him to react.
It’s not technically brilliant but it’s raw, aggressive and emotional. I know these vocal coaches don’t care for emotion but it’s the emotion that makes Jeff Buckley so compelling
Corpus Christi Carol by Jeff Buckley
Please check out nothing but thieves , they do a cover of this song
React to Tim Buckley Song to the siren.
Well. Duh. He is an amazing. Ahhhh. Fuuuuuuck. I love me some Jeff.
I would REALLY love to see you react to Eternal Life by Jeff Buckley from this Live in Chicago concert! He uses a vast majority of distortion and would love to know how he makes it works and get your thoughts! Thank you
Since you've been analyzing Jeff Buckley in your videos and it's really interesting... check out "Habibi" by Tamino? He's a new singer that many people have called a "Belgian Jeff Buckley", and the comparison comes very naturally, so I'm curious whether it comes down to similar vocal techniques.
Oh wow! I just checked this out, and I totally get what you are saying! Thank you for the recommendation!
You should react to « Dream brother » - Live à l’Olympia (there’s no video but it’s just... amazing)
Can you do a reaction to Guy Sebastian - Before I Go. Awesome vocals!
Idk if you have been told this before but you look like Tom Ellis lol , anyhoo I'd like you to react to mojo pin from the same concert it's absolutly wonderful
This song is basically Jeff singing you the lyrically saddest song of his life while playing a guitar solo with his vocal chords
We must all have you do What would you say!!! Either Chicago or Glaston B
Amazing reaction. More of Jeff Buckley pls! "What Will you Say" "eternal life" "Mojo pin"
Ana Paula for mojo pin i prefer the Glastonbury version
What will you say!
Do more
You should check out Mistakes by John Frusciante.
Wow u can try to mimic a voice .. but u will never feel what we felt...
Please do Mojo Pin and Eternal Life from the same concert! please please please :)
Do Mojo Pin but please do the live Japan performance
Please react to Matt Bellamy from Muse
Please react to Adam Mishan circa 2008
Mojo pin live next!
Jeff Buckley yeah the Glastonbury performance
REACT TO KANGAROO BY JEFF BUCKLEY IN CHICAGO
