just wanna say i finished my exam today and im super excited!! i couldn't make it without your videos! word can't describe my love toward you and ur work! thx and keep it up
I have my final coming up thank you for uploading fatty acid metabolism (one of the last sections) . Just need some protein turn over videos and you will successfully helped me get an A in biochemistry! Thanks!
Great video, thank you! what happens next when we have a Palmitic acid (that already is a free FA ) ? when the body needs to produce longer chains, what happens then?
Why does the elongation cycle stop when we have C16-acyl ACP? Does it always stop at 16 carbon-atoms or could the chain be longer/shorter?? And i dont understand why you talk about palmitate. I understand that it is a 16 carbon fatty acid, but does "fatty acid synthesis" always only synthesize palmitate? Thank you for this videos! They are really helpful :)
I have just found out that, there are enzymes on the cytoplasmic face of the endoplasmic reticulum membran that catalyze the elongation reactions in which longer fatty acids are formed.
please reply to this. sir how did you aquire so much knowledge and understanding in so many subjects?? you teach so well sir, but how did you do thjis?
I have no idea how I would have survived without you.
I feel the same way. He got me through undergrad, MCAT and now med school
Thank you for doing what you do, you teach in a way that none of my teachers seem to be able to, in a concise yet easy to understand way.
This is an amazing video of the FA synthesis process! It helped me so much
All your videos are getting
me through my biochemistry exam. The videos are clear and amazing explained. So grateful. Thank you!

Seriously, you are brilliant man!
So wonderfully explained so comprehensively taught.
Glad you've come back! ^~^ Your videos are awesome
Thank you so much. Keep it up. It was very difficult to understand these things without proper teaching. It's now clear to me. Thank you again.
Amazing! you have almost every video I need to help me study Biochemistry 300 level, My finals are going to rock!! THANK YOU.
ur language & acsent is very clear 💚💚
how is he able to explain all things so clearly. You are a Hero

AMAZING!thanks so much
How do you know everything? You're just great
Niecey Weesey study study study study study study study and BE A BRILLIANT!
@@redache467 you have motivated me to become a brilliant
Hi I love your videos! They are helping me so much in my biochem class, I was wondering if you could upload a lecture on photosynthesis!?
Thanks Dr. K!
Thank you so much for this
Your lectures are very useful, thank you
This is great! I am doing an udergrad in medicine. Please do more videos in Amino Acid Metabolism. Please and thank you!
Thanks man it helped me a lot!!
what a great resource
You are my hero. Thanks
thank you!! very helpful
I wish our chemistry professor is as brilliant as you :'(
Thank you so much. U are great ❤️
Thank you!!!
thanks for the videos! Are you going to do videos about amino acid metabolism as well?
You're my hero 👏👏👏👏🙌🙌🙌🙏
talented human
thank you
Great video, thank you!

thank you
Am wondering what's wrong with the five guys who've disliked this video
You are amazing 💗 love from Pakistan
Thank you thank you thank you!
very helpful . thank you sir
God bless you 🙏
hi thank.u alot💚.. can u upload videos for resporatory pathophysiology & related diseases?
very nice sir
God bless you
special thanks
it would be soo helpfull if u made pictures of what u write on the board and published them on your fb page
god bless you dude
So how many total Acetyl-CoA are used in fatty acid synthesis to create palmitic acid?
Wait...you're taking the time to create videos about Fatty Acid Synthesis while also prepping for Renal? Hats off to you, AK. Great work! :)
+WorldoftheNebulous Kevin.... is that you?!?
...Why yes it is, Sir. Yes indeed. *continues to watch AK Lectures.
+WorldoftheNebulous Oh man! too funny! thanks for making my night :) see you in class tomorrow
Hahaha! My pleasure. :) Though, I won't be in class tmrw...because...ya know...those "lectures"... :z
+AK LECTURES (Andrey K) he is not the only classmate of yours watching these on the regular lol.
oh l can't say thank you enough I used to hate biochemistry but now it's almost a piece of cake
Plz explain the stoichiometry as well
Please make a video about cholesterol biosynthesis
Is thioesterase also on FAS complex?
you are a god
TSMM UR MY SAVIOR!

واللهي وحش
sir plzzzz talk about neutron interaction
First, I love you.
Second, minor error: you have the wrong hydrogen atom highlighted in step 5 and 6 for the dehydration reaction.
please reply to this. sir how did you aquire so much knowledge and understanding in so many subjects?? you teach so well sir, but how did you do thjis?
really, we must say he is doing a noble deed!! he is a genius not only as an intellectual but also as an excellent teacher...
oooooop tis is great
you're a genius
far from it, thank you though
Oh believe me you're l've been watching your videos for two hours and l can't have enough of them
Tara Azad Aw thank you! glad you find them helpful :)
part my fees need to go to you and not just my college lol!
AMO-TE! Casa comigo e oxida-me os ácidos gordos!!!
te amo
How many ATPs are used to generate palmitate?
one for each malonyl-CoA formed so 7... someone please correct me if I'm wrong
This reaction occur to make palmitate 6 times.i think 6 atps will be use
Where does elongation occur??
cytoplasm
