As soon as I saw the knife spins I thought about that. I know it would be harder to animate but I hope they find a way to add them in the future, it would be really cool if legendary hunters came with some unique weapon inspect/equip animations.
I think an issue *might* be that they'd have to animate decocking the revolver. I don't see any reason why that would be an issue, but perhaps there's some spaghetti code issues related to that.

Personally, once they do tools and consumables the hunter should be more interactive with it, guns are fine as it currently is because you need to more ready or less distracted when holding one.
These do not match the same energy as the reloads have. Idk about y'all but I have a lot of down time in hunt waiting for banishes. Make these longer and unique. Hell I'll pay
I am a weapon animation nerd. Some pistol inspections looks like placeholders because of their low quality. The uppercut share the exact same "stiff" animation as some other pistols for example. I think we'll be seeing real ones for those weapons later on, but they weren't finished and Crytek probably didn't want the inspect function to become inconsistent with the weapon groups.
How long does it takes to switch from inspect stance, to shooting stance ? I guess if you have to react in the middle of an inspection, you're not shooting right away ?

it would be sick to see alternate animations in the store for blood bonds/dlc, a revolver spin or even the dualie tricks from metal gear would be sick id totally buy them
If Crytek want to make some extra money without making sacrifices to the game, they can start selling different types of inspect weapon animations on the store with blood bonds
I hope that like slowly over time they make more inspects over time and maybe they can like sell the fancier ones for blood bonds, like potentially a little flourish, idk seems like a a cool idea
Hope they add unique animations that are like 1/10 chances of happening in the future. maybe like knocking on the players head for dusters, gunslinging the revolvers like ocelot, hugging the Avtomat like Natasha. Just to name a few :)

Woulda been funny if your hunter for the bear trap inspection gets their finger pinched in the trap. Or for one of the bladed weapons they nick themselves on the blade. Could even have you take like five damage or something. But it's a new feature to the game and I can't wait to see what they add to it in the future
May i know your ingame resolution? You play at 4k max settings ? Because your game looks so good, clean and sharp. Have it on 2k max settings appart from lightning and shadow and the results are dissapointing :(

Am I wrong to feel just a tiny bit ripped off that 15 slots of the battle pass I paid for are bits of lore that are going to vanish post event? surely they could have been separate and used through the questlines feature or something? Im not too impressed by most of these. A lot of them are really short, not giving you much time to look over the details. The world item weapons all feel pretty lazy. Also there isn't a lot of character in them. The knife and throwing knives are great, and I'd like to see some more character in them, especially the melee weapons.
Disappointed at the lack of funny secret animations like plucking the string on the bow and having it go *"Bwoooong"* or accidentally nicking yourself with one of the knives. I hold out hope that there's throwable inspects in the works so I can tap on the glass of the flash bomb.
I cannot inspect weapons at all on console. When I press triangle while weapon wheel is open, it just switches weapons and doesn't do the inspect animation. Am I doing something wrong?
I think these animations are just fine. The more grounded actions while inspecting weapons seems more suitable for the game's tone. One would reasonably de-cock a revolver to twirl it in hand to prevent shooting oneself, and it doesn't seem too reasonable that a hunter would unready their weapon just to play with it. Would somebody who takes their hand off the trigger (or at the very least, rest their finger against the trigger guard) when observing the sides of their weapon really start spinning around the revolver or its cylinder?
Would be hella cool if they added unique inspect anims depending on the tier of hunter you're using like lobby equip anims like T3 and legendary hunters doing sick ass revolver spins n shit
wow this are so unimaginative and boring, genuinely a pointless addition, the only cool ones are the knife and throwing knife. I dont think the devs really understood what players wanted. they should have just copied what apex perfect: a short cool animation thats just satisfying that you can spam while running (like flipping the knife or spinning revolvers in your hand) and a long detailed animation for when you really want to see the gun/skin you are holding. I know that the hunt community was asking this for years but this just feels like custom ammo on release - pointless (because most of it was shit). if this is the devs focus im glad I stopped playing when I did

Saber, machete and heavy knife have the same hand animation. Which is fine since no one really plays with machete and heavy knife.

Pretty sure they confirmed in the dev stream that there is no delay, and you can interupt the inspection instantly
it's not like counterstrike where it interrupts in one frame, but it is extremely fast (like, .2 seconds or something like that)
The skin makes it better. Having gloves and a suit fit the “let’s check it out” style
