I started watching you at first for your Disney prep which I loved! Then envied your life so much for being a stay at home mom because I worked outside the home but since covid, so much changed here at home and I’ve tried the SAHM and homeschool mom and man it still didn’t look as good as how you handled it all. You are already better than you think! ❤
Oh trust me....I don't have everything all together! I'm on the struggle bus...just like everyone else. :)
You say in this video that “a lot of these things sound stupid” but they don’t to me!! I’m inspired. You’ve given me so any ideas. Be proud off yourself for trying new things. New things are hard, even when they are small. All those small things build so much confidence to do the big things. ❤

43 year old homeschooling and work from home boy-mom of a 13 & 14 yr old here, and let me just say…you are heard and understood! I, myself, have thought I’ve been going through a midlife crisis, also. I see my boys and can’t understand where the time has gone and then I look in the mirror and it’s shocking at times. Every new gray hair that pops up, I joke and say it’s another new lesson I’ve had to learn. I always think, though, maybe God is just preparing me for my next chapter in life. I know you question your channel and videos, but as you can see, so many of us enjoy your content, so try not to be discouraged. Thank you for this video and sharing your heart with the world!

You are speaking directly to me! I am a 53 year old teacher that has closed herself into a box. I teach in a private, Christian school. This is great, but I’m finding that I am putting up walls to protect myself. I feel judged everywhere I go. I’ve lost my adventurous side and so much self confidence. 2024 is a year of change for me. Oh yes...I'm very "walled up" and " in a box," too! I didn't even realize the degree of it until a few months ago and boy has it been eye-opening! I'm so glad you're on this journey with me...we can do it!

I love every single one of your videos! It’s a VERY hard transition when your children get older, and you find yourself wondering what will I do next. I have a senior in high school, a junior, and a sophomore. Homeschooling has been my entire life! I also feel like I am the older homeschool mom. I have seen three of my favorite channels transition into something else other than homeschooling and it’s challenging because we have watched their children go from kindergarten to college and you wonder how they are doing but at the same time there has to be a boundary as these children are now young adults. Even though none of us know each other, I do feel like I know the mothers I follow on CZcams. In a sense it’s like losing a dear friend. I’m 52 and definitely feel like I am in a mid life crisis of sort. I do know this….the Lord will be with us every step of the way! Thanks for all the hard work you put into your channel! ☺️
Thank you so much! It's funny how much focus is put on how hard it is to raise little kids but nobody really talks about the challenge of raising, and letting go of, older kids.
I'm an even older mom, lol. My kiddos are 23, 13, & 10! I'm 50!! Being stuck in your ways is not silly. I'm right there with you trying to navigate some big changes coming to our family. I definitely use my environment and my choices (or chosen lack of) to protect myself from disappointment. I lost my first husband tragically and I think I'm trying to control all that I can around me, but definitely have found you can't really do that. Things outside of your control will still continue to seep into your life and you/ I will have to sink or swim. Right now, I'm gasping for air and trying really hard to figure out how to move forward. I don't have a choice whether to move forward, it's just the stance I take doing so. It definitely affects relationships with those around you/me and figuring out where you/I want to be. God bless you Becky. I do really enjoy all of your videos, maybe because I feel I can relate to you. I homeschool my two youngest and we also have a (cream) golden. Keep sharing.

Good on you Becky! It is not easy to self reflect and make changes. I have been working through some things to, maybe it is the age, being in our 40s. Realising life is short and feeling like we have been wasting time. I really liked this video.

Another great video! I watched some of these out of order because I haven't been on youtube as much lately with Christmas. I said on another video, I've been re-evaluating and I think reinventing myself as a mom is what I'm reflecting on. I am 55! with 3 teenagers still in the house, the youngest is 13. I've not been very impressed with myself as a mom lately. And I need to change that. And change some things about myself. I loved this video because it helps knowing others may struggle with the same thoughts and it gives me a boost to work on things I know I need to change. 💖

Yes, yes, please do more of these videos!!! This was a really great one. I am the same way, and I have always thought that everyone else has it all together. So many things you said resonated with me, and I am 52! I have always struggled with self confidence and not wanting to look like I don't know what I am doing. I don't want to stand out. But here is an interesting thing, God blessed me with identical twin daughters who are special needs being born with a speech disorder and they are extremely shy and extremely timid in public, so I am the one to not only help myself but to help them as well. We need to venture out there ourselves and work on gaining confidence. So, yes, absolutely, more videos on these things. ❤

Homeschool mom since 2006, in my mid 40s here and I can relate to a lot of what you’re saying. I’m a creature of habit too and have only in the last five years or so started trying new foods at home and at restaurants. I also am too aware of myself; I was teased as a kid and so I’m always wondering if I look awful or if I say something someone may think is dumb. I’m a pastor’s wife and it’s hard because sometimes I’d just like to blend in. God has been molding me, though, and it’s getting easier. I’d love to see your thoughts on making 2024 a better year.

None of those things sounded stupid Becky. I think many of us can relate to struggling to do things outside of our comfort zone, and you are an inspiration. You have challenged yourself quite a bit this year. I have watched you for a long time, and I do appreciate when you share your heart with us. I love those types of videos. Outside of your gifting videos, I think the first video I watched of yours was your Cell phone Parenting video. That video really got my attention. It woke me up. I have always enjoyed your videos on Motherhood and how you address important topics that aren't commonly talked about. They have helped me become a better mother. Please continue to make videos where you share your heart, and address important topics. Btw, it sounds like your daughter's boyfriend is incredibly sweet, and very wise for his age. It's nice to see how much joy he has brought to your family.

@@aplacetonestno he doesn’t. He is free roaming in our living room but has a crate where he has a litter box. He does chew cords / remotes / anything like that.
@@LeahTackles She's really sweet and hardly ever bites but when she does it really hurts and makes me wonder if we're doing something wrong or she's just evil. lol

Obviously, they weren’t intentionally planned, but I could come up with about a dozen (yes, I did count a few that I’ve done before but it had been 20+years and this was first time experiencing with my kiddos)! ☺

41 year old homeschooling mom of three girls 10,14,14. So much of what you are going through is resonating with me! I think my biggest thing I’m struggling with is transition stage between doing everything with my kids and now they don’t need me as much and doing things on their own even though they are home most of the time. I’m a huge reader and puzzler but then feel like when I’m enjoying these hobbies I’m not being productive enough. I’m also a routine and not trying new things person! It makes it harder because my husband is the opposite and he doesn’t get it. This video makes me feel like someone else gets it! ❤

Yes! More videos like this please! I feel like you’re saying all the things I’ve been thinking/feeling! I too struggle with self confidence and being vulnerable. I’m turning 40 in April and the aging process has begun! I notice new things all the time. My son is turning 13 in December and I have found myself not wanting to embarrass myself In front of him now. It’s been a very weird thing to go through. I loved this video and it helped me so much to know I’m not the only one feeling and going through these things! You have inspired me to make my own list of things to work on. Thanks again Becky!
