I really appreciate hearing Dr West’ position on these diff topics and I especially appreciated the context in which he provided around his critique of Obama’s actions and not the man directly.
We definitely need reparation. It must begin somewhere with a contingency to change course and or amount at anytime. The native Americans and Jewish people are getting paid so should we. Was a study rolled out for them? They have always been paid monetarily, healthcare, education, land and housing. Roland if that's something you have to think about, another lifetime will pass. No study needs to be made or organization created. Everybody knows what happened and how we continue to suffer as a race. Just start cutting the checks and then you can think, study and mess around with an apology, law and solid figure. As it stands the U.S. is in deficit with the black community and we are here for payment ASAP. Before anyone asks where the money is coming from. The government can take it from the same source the Space Force came from or wherever the funds are derived for peace treaties. I don't care where or how just start paying.

Brother Martin i agree with you 99% but this 1% i must strongly oppose. Reparations. Just imagine we as black get cashed out like you stated with over 40 trillion dollars. This amount would destroy the world bank on its face. It would be worthless to us the moment we begin to spend it. I even posed an idea to my wife. If the government simply gave each black man and woman 1 million each it would destroy our system. I believe what we should get is education, housing for free, food for life and have our share at the table.

Can we get something on the record to show how all of the laws or rights that we have fought ,helped all of the other minorities benefit. So first the country benefits off of our labor and as we march and fight through the streets and laws are passed for minorities everyone else now gets to come in and ride the wave of success and somehow they don’t see that struggle.
