Voron Switchwire/ EnderWire with ERCF/Triple-Decky/Springy/Sturdy-Bunny/Binky/Filametrix-Cutter on Stealthburner and CottonTail Buffer system powered by BTT MMB
Hi Tyler. I'm building RN but don't get one thing. My ercf is oriented toward the back of the 2.4 cause my filament path goes through the "filter door" and filament tubes come from the side, on the same workbench height. Is the 180 degree option what I need to print? I don't get it and I would prefer not to print useless parts. Thanks in advance
One thing: Could n't you eliminate the buffer if you just had the spools on motorized spindles with a tension sensor? Yeah, more motors, but less space taken. The spools could sit up top where the buffers are. ( I have limited space in basement)
I had it setup that way using a different buffer I did not like it. Everything is confined on the 1 table and if needed can be slid out to work on everything and filaments swapped with ease. If you see my 1st video you’ll see the last setup
Hi Tyler is this the Beta for ERCF V2? Also how did you connect the ERCF Gear steper motor to the MMB board? in the MMB board, they show the connection for the stepper motor as 1A 2B 2A 1B, but it did not work for me, I connected 1A 2A 1B 2B and it runs but only to a gear max speed of 30 faster than that it will just vibrate, I tried multiple motor and different coils configurations but nothing worked. any idea what I am doing wrong or where I can find this information, please?
Try to use !PIN#, ! will swap rotation if it's wired backwards but you have to make sure on the boards pinout you've matched coils of the motor you can find a video on how to use a meter using continuity to determine winding pairs.
I’m pretty sure if someone had a 2.4 or a trident they’d throw it on there 🤷🏾♂️ I have no clue what it’s like to program it all with a filamatrix + ERCF + cotton tail and the respective printer bet it’s nothing short of a test of one’s patience and willpower.
That is an extremely elegant solution. Congratulations. 👍
It's madness. It's complicated. It's beautiful.
This is totally on my project list.
This is an awesome setup!!!!
Excelllent work!
Thank you

I get the concept but where is the bump stop for that filametrix on a switchwire

Nice.
Very impressive!!! I've been wanting to make one ever since finding out about them, but documentation seems sparse?
You have a link to the files? Would like to set this up....
Do you have a link to the STLs for the CottonTail buffers?
I don’t sorry I’m a beta tester it’ll be released soon for all ;)

It was I’m the Builder on the team. I got a lot on my plate today but I will check back in

Why does everyone use a switch wire with ERCF and not a core XY? I’m guessing there’s a reason
I dont know, this is just what I have available. And I’m not putting it on my V0.2 🤣

Sick design! Wondering if any custom PCBs or metal parts may help for upcoming upgrade? We'd love to sponsor free services! (PCBWay zoey)
lets talk about this further I'm sure the community would love a few options. my email: tsteinhauer@me.com
Is this using Klipper? or custom OS?

@@gsx8299 great skill!!
thank you

where are the filament spools?
Under the bench in drier boxes
Hello, have you tried printing multiple colors for 12 hours without human intervention
I’m at a point now where I just click print and I go to bed or I go do errands whatever I need to do so yea no issues. I’m running 2 setups
That's great. Can you share the cutter file and the configuration file? I also want to try it out@@gsx8299
I made a 184 hour print using my ercf with 12 colors and 3 materials. It finished on the first try.
Why is my ercf so much better than the commercially available ams i got from bambu :(
I just sold my X1C with AMS today
Hi, how you solver cutting system on switchwire? I want get ercf v2 but no idea where to find solutions for slingers 🤔 would yoy help me? 🫣
On this I have a piece of 2020 extrusion taped to the side of the enclosure panel ;) but I’m trying something new here today
@@gsx8299if you don't mind to show us how you dealed this or how it suppost to be. I'll be very appreciate❤
