Thank you for the awesome review! Never had to change the blade so this was the first time I’ve seen it actually being taken out and put back. Thanks! 😎👍🏼

As you said these tools are great for small PVC pipe diameters. Here in NYC, PVC is allowed for certain size homes up to 6 stories for drainage only and lawn sprinkler work. This can vary from county to county and local ordinances. Overall great tools to have regradless👍. Kudos from NYC🗽.

What do they allow in NYC for supply lines?

@@projectpinehills Copper for residential and commercial soldered or crimped on fittings and PVC or ABS for medical special equipment such as example dental chairs, dialysis, etc. Most of the work I have done required Schedule 80 PVC threaded only as solvents and glues were not allowed. Depends on the manufacturer of the equipment and their requirements.

That's interesting, I figured Copper would not be allowed and PEX or CPVC required. Thanks for commenting!

My personal opinion both are goood for different materials. But to be really honest i would say use the ratcheting cutter for harder pipe such as sch 40 or 80, and the manual cutter for aqua pex piping cause its softer

When using RC 1625 rachet cutter On say 32mm plastic it buckles the pipe out shape and it's a struggle to get the pipe to fit into a fitting

Yeah that’s 1.25 inches, that makes sense. Thanks for watching!

Very nice video, thank you. For me and what I am trying to do (just a pvc frame for some shade sails) it is too expensive, I hope i can find something cheaper to use from time to time.

Let me know what you come up with. The cheapest thing would be a saw.

You created a link to what appears to be a copper pipe cutter. It’s not large enough for PVC pipe.

Nice but you're using them backwards.

You are right. I hold it with the blade up when using it! Thanks for watching!
