You need to do some shorts with them jokes. I love the 'dad jokes'
You mean … shad jokes …?
@@dorothyyoung8231 shad dad, dad shad they are awesome and the best
Maybe a guest shad?
For 40 years we’ve just duct taped a 2’ piece of 1.5” PVC to a 4’ piece of rebar and they worked great in the surf. But this is fancy..think I’ll make some up. Really appreciate your channel Keith. Thanks a lot! 👍👍👌
Duct tape and rebar works too lol
Or instead of duct tape some 3 inch hose clamps
Best rod holder I've seen for bank fishing!!
Another great tip. These kinda videos just feed on each other and inspire new ideas and better ways to do things. A custom made life for less than retail! 🤙💥
You can also purchase a threaded nob from Lowes with the same thread pattern. It will allow you to hand tighten the holder to the stake without using pliers or a wrench.
To fancy
I thought about that but couldn't find em lol
@@FishinNStuff check Grainger also, another good source.
@@cliff0dean I use a 3/8-16 x 2-1/2" eye bolt.
That is a great idea. Don't forget to store your pvc glue upside-down so it does dry out
That is an impressive rod holder. I might try to make one that works for surf fishing to
I was just thinking the same thing. I got my first fishin surf trip coming up. This gives me time to put it together. 🤔
@james hook crazy as this may sound, you don't need anything but a square cut piece of 1 1/2 pvc pipe about 2.5 feet long. Place pvc in the sand at the water line. When the wave comes in, suck in on the pipe and it will sink in the wet sand
@@cliff0dean yeah that’s what I use now.
Nice build there Keith 😃😃😃😃 I have only lost one rod and reel to a fish luckly it was Zebco 404 .
I just built 2 of these the exact way you did. Awesome!!! I have some that I made out od wrought iron and stakes, Very heavy!! These one I made are super light!! Thank you for sharing!!! Bless!!!
Great ideas. And cranky was on fire. 🤣. Keeps it coming always a pleasure. Till next time God speed God bless tightlines and full stringers
Enjoyed you instructional vid. You were just detailed enough without getting tedious. But best of all it was entertaining. Thanks
Thank you
Dang man that was a pretty cool rod holder, I think I'll make me a couple for bank fishing. Thanks for sharing Brother, Can't wait until the next build
👍🏾😂👍🏾 🐟 👍🏾😂👍🏾
Oh yeah…..Nice tutorial.
Sir please put more of your "failed" bits in. Funny as hell.
Glad to see Crankies alive and well!
Another goodun Keith. This is a purty good rod holder. Small enough to tote along with your rods and not be too burdensome. And the hammer could be used to whack them big uns when you drag em up.
Real good idea, even with your adult supervision of Cranky !
God bless you and your family. And I hope ya'll have a blessed day.
I bought two light weight fence posts and a 2' length of 1 1/2" PVC. Bend the fence posts to your desired angle, drill holes in the PVC and bolt them to the posts. 2' of PVC cut in half makes 2 holders. I sharpened the bottom of the posts to facilitate putting them in the ground. They cost about $8 each. Work great.
Yo main man (fish), is hilarious 😂 😃! I'm gonna try this rod holder. Maybe I won't have to type a rope from my rod/holder to my ankle if I fall asleep on the beach! 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
Thanks for sharing this great idea Keith!! It's strong, easy to make and very usefull!!
Greetings from the Netherlands and bless you, Pat.
👊🏼🎣👍🏼🎣🤘🏼🎣🇱🇺
Thank you for watching Pat
Love these videos ❤ 🎣
Awesome video
I like this one. One of the best bank holders I've seen. I don't do a lot of fishing that needs a rod holder, but I might make a couple of these for those few instances that do.
It really did turn out cool
Now that was cool !
Made a couple of these the other day. Taking the hanger apart does work but found it quicker to loosen it and slide it on the pvc pipe and just tighten it down after threading the bolt in the hole you drilled out. Both ways work it just saved me a little bit of time. I appreciate the video, wouldn’t have built them without watching it.
GREAT HOLDERS 🎣
Keith my brother, that is pure genius!!!👏 I may just have to make a couple of those and go surf fishin for SHARKS 🦈 🤣👍👍 Jay.
That’s a great design. That’s the same design I use for pier fishing. I strap is to the pier with extra large zip ties
That's a cool idea
I was actually just looking for this exact video today! Thank you for reading my mind.
Thank you for the video on the bank fishing rod holder I can't wait to build a couple one for my nephew and one for myself.
I have a strong working knowledge in the plumbing and irrigation fields so making this would be a great project to get my nephew to give me a hand in making.
Again thank you for all your dyi videos I really appreciate them.
Sincerely Michael
You just made my day, awsome to the point that I know what your sayin, you know it i know therefore God bless you always from Kansas Christian Concervitive Patriots... on it
❤ I love this, going to try it
That's way stronger than I would've expected
That is one good rod holder I like the steel bar and tighten the for holder to that rod by the bolt. That way you can bit on the steek rod then slide the rod holder over the steel bar and tighten the bolt to the steel bar locking the rod holder. And to remove losen the bolt slide the rod holder off and bang on the steel rod and took it back and forth and remove seperated from the pvc part of the rod holder. Great idea thanks for sharing.
Always good Keith!😂😂😂
This is great! I'm going to make some for myself. Many thanks
Now that's what I'm saying! Definitely worth building...
Nice project.
...Got to love a little Cranky .... lol ..
That was a great idea, totally enjoyed, thanks again..
thats actually pretty neat and simple
You must be in the western part of North Carolina where the ground is tougher. All that red clay. I'm from the eastern part of North Carolina where all the ground is. Nothing but sand and a little bit of dirt. Make one out of work in sand lol but it is pretty dang cool
Thanks for the update 😉👍🐟
Thanks Keith, I’ve been looking for good rod holders to use from shore for a long time.
Entertaining and Practical...!
...and then there's Cranky... 🤔
God bless ALL of us!

Super-sweet !!
That rod holder is excellent for Beach fishing
Awesome Stuff there Keith. I love it.
Enjoyed this video
Great idea going to make me one good tip.
That's awesome rod holder!! LMAO 🤣😂 my wife is gonna be mad, because now I gotta build some of them. But I'm gonna have some cool rod holders. Just saying 😂🤣
Awesomely dang cool
Love it
I don't remember where, but I recall a rod holder that was a straight length of PVC with an angle cut on one end (if you want to be fancy, you can flare the other end). To set it in the sand at the beach, you press the angled end into the sand and then suck on the other end to draw it down to make it solid.
Nice Keith!
Love it bud. Great job once again.
Down here in South Texas we duck tape PVC pipe to a rebar 😅 😂 works great and cheap
Thanks for sharing I'm making me one .
That was pretty dang cool I like it alot !
Great idea sir thanks for shared
Very cool
Great video
Pretty cool
thats a great hack. thanks for sharing. going to have to look at making one of those.....lol
I like that looks nice
This video is awesome 😎
I'm going to have to make a few of these
Thanks so much for these videos!!! You are awesome!!!
Thank you
I need 10 of them asp great video
I made one similar but tapped the PVC for a bolt. It works, but like that collar idea better
I like that idea I'm gonna make me one
Here is an idea for a hack. A removable PVC pipe net handle holder that attaches to the surface with a suction cup. Love your videos and ideas. Always thinking, just sayin'
This is super.!!!!. My fishing spots are mostly by the rocks..... Could you make one for rock fishing too? PLZZZzzzzzzzzzzzz!!!
Nice pole holder but know I need a sledgehammer to carry 😂😂
That’s awesome. Just think how cool that would be if it was painted with fluorescent paint for black light fishing. It would be sweet
Is this a scam or legit
U have a great diy channel. I have a funny picture of a diy and cant figure out how to send u the picture..
I've got to build me one of them I like it 👍
All your builds are great but this one is one I think I am going to try. I have all the tools I need for this one. Thanks Keith. Hope you can join us next time we come to town to fish with Dieter Melhorn. Where do you do most of your catfishing?
Inspirational
I made a rod carrier from a load bar. All you need is pvc pipe and pipe clamps. I bolted them fast. To the bar. Only cost me 25 dollars. Amazon thinks they need hundred dollars for it.
👍👍👍👍👍
Thank you
I Like Your Channel Keep up the great work🐟🐠
Thank you very much that means alot to me brother
I would think having a few of those would be a pain to carry especially with the weight of the rod. Mine are all pvc and cut at an angle at the bottom. Works well for me.
Sweet
You should show how to make a cheap rod holder for someone that has no bank and has to wade out waste deep. That would be a good route holder cause. I have to fish like that in the spot that I fish it was just wanting some ideas
I made one from bamboo. Cost me nothing. Works super well.
Hey Keith, how can I send you pics of the ones I built last year &were cheaper to do? Really want to share them...
Good un Keith. Not hard to make, and not a lot of PVC (nowadays that stuff is X PEN SEVE).
Ta day you were awesome! Were there longer metal stakes there?
Love watching your videos man. Their Awesome!! You got any ideas for a pvc rod holders for the top of a SUV
Whoo hoo. First view!!
Been there & done it actually maybe several times
Awesome video and awesome looking rod holder and handy one . I was wondering if a big catfish pulled you in I haven't heard from you for a while. 😅
Come up with a rod holder for a bicycle. Using the rear of the bike frame. Thanks in advance. I need one!
Great video what kind of spray paint did you use?
Fantastic. Version 2. Do same thing and add a horizontal piece so you can have 3-5 rods on one post?
That is my plan after seeing this. I may just make a double one to try.
Heck yea man
i dont own a boat but rent a pontoon boat from time to time. you have a hack for portable rod holders for people renting boats to use
Takedown Rod holder is $12 good price. I was ordering 2, $24 plus tax and shipping was a total of $44. Not doing it. I'll with your idea.
Keith you thinking that would hold on that bluegill? Hey don’t know if you have a side x side. Polaris makes a good one by the way. Know what I mean! But I’m thinking you could come up with a idea on one. Maybe one that mounts on the bed or the back roll cage?
