Karrie, dentist's are notorious for trying to sell so many other items not necessarily needed. My son went to the dentist and they did the same thing to him. By the time he got out of there they wanted to do an additional $4K worth of dental work. He got a second opinion and he was told he didn't need all the extras the other dentist tried to sell him. I have discovered veterinarians are doing the same thing. They try to sell you dental cleanings that cost $1500, allergy shots, blood work, X-rays, mole removal, vitamins, special shampoo, flea and tick medicine and the list goes on and on. My last vet visit cost me $380 for a check up and UTI blood work. Everything has gotten so expensive. Sorry, I just had to vent!
Teeth cleaning for 1500? Good grief where do you live? My dog gets her teeth cleaned every other year. It's never been over 300. And there are some people who want to make sure their pets get what they need. But, you are right it's not cheap.
Add a smaller rug in front of your back door! It’ll keep down the dirt from getting everywhere in the house 😊 Walmart has some really inexpensive ones!! Like a 3x5 or something around there!

I know exactly what you're going through with bone loss. I highly recommend everyone take care of their dental health immediately. Bone loss is not reversible. We lose it as we age but we will lose it the unhealthy way way if you don't seek regular routine dental visit. You will build plaque, lose bone and your options to repair will diminish over time. I learned that personally but mine was due to poor dental care as a child, genetics and not keeping up with regular cleaning. So grateful for my current dentist. Go to Harbor Freight and get a huge tarp to put over that dirt, nail it down with landscape anchors.
The best thing I’ve found that gets the pet smell neutralized so they can’t smell their scent again is mixing Vinegar and laundry detergent/borax when I wash and for the foam/carpet put vinegar/water mixture in spray bottle and saturate. The vinegar snell will evaporate within an hour. It legit works! It works on both dog and cat smells.

Love you new bully. Bulldogs are very easy to train. He’s a puppy now. If you take him out every time after he eats and wakes up from a nap. If you’re always watching him, he will learn from the other dogs. He’s a cutie pie. I’m excited to see the progress.

Wrap the foam in a black trash bag before putting it into the cover. That will protect it.
We do the same thing with our outdoor cushions. If it rains the covers dry super fast.

I do have same Dirt Devil vacuum and it works very good when I clean the carpet area good buy karrie. With the outside of your backyard don't worry yourself it will be fine in few months soon as you bath the dogs they gonna go back to lay down in the dirt my friend dog does the same she goes crazy 😂ok 👌🏻 following you all through the process of building your new addition knowing your decor will be awesome ❤❤❤your channel.

Please Karrie get a second opinion. I’m a dental assistant with over 30 yrs experience, crowded teeth do not cause bone loss, periodontitis does. That is inflammation of the gums. If anything crowded teeth are harder to clean which will cause periodontitis which will then cause bone loss. I hope that’s how they explained it to you. Not getting your teeth cleaned for 6-7 yrs I can see why you’re bleeding. People tend to stop brushing or flossing when they see blood, you need to keep it up even thought it’s bleeding. Omg I hope this makes sense to you😂. Your teeth are beautiful. Try using water pick if flossing is hard. Just some gentle advice. Looooove your videos 💕
Hey Karrie I to live in Florida the wind can be abonxious you could take some of that tarp and cover the dirt to help with the dust also with allergies this year is brutal almost done with that thank goodness 😎
I have the same dental issues and I go for a cleaning every six months. I use Dentek Easy Brush Interdental Cleaners (Tight size which are the slimmest). They are little brushes for in between your teeth. Dip it in toothpaste and you’ll remove a lot of food/plaque the floss and dental picks can’t get. I also use wooden picks to scrap along the gum line every so often. Both of those products can be found on Amazon and Walmart, but the Tight size Dentek is hard to find in shops. Oh, if you’re not already using, an electric toothbrush helps control plaque too.

Love your videos Karrie! Excited about your new building! Just watching where Knox is tinkling on his bed. It’s possible now that he has done that there, he can smell it and associates it with a place to do that on, or mark. And even though you try to clean the foam cushion, with his powerful sense of smell, he is able to still detect it. If he keeps doing it, that may be why. May need replace the foam.
He does it on anything fabric! Tody I gave him a new blanket and he peed haha

Well, I’m watching this at bedtime and I was debating skipping flossing tonight but after watching your dental spiel, I decided to go ahead and floss lol
I’ve never had Invisalign, but I have had traditional braces, three separate times, because my teeth kept moving. It’s not any fun and the last time caused a large cavity in one of my front teeth which now has to be capped. Dental care is necessary but so expensive and not very much fun. I’ve had that deep cleaning twice also, but they numbed me for it, thank goodness. I hope your Invisalign goes well!

Totally feel your pain about the dentist. I also put the dentist off for years and years and now I have a bunch of cavities. I even had to have a couple teeth pulled in the back and I had a cap fake tooth thing put in. It's a whole mess, very important. Remember to take care of ourselves. Your puppy dog is so cute. Oh my goodness he has got some huge feet. I love when you were mopping how he was just watching. I wish our pets could learn to help clean. They love to watch. I can't wait to see your building, so very exciting.

talking about going to the dentist, I have had gum surgery & more than once have had deep cleanings done. When I had my 1st deep cleaning they gave me laughing gas. I was very relaxed.

I work in the dental field. What you are experiencing is super common don’t feel alone but your doing the right thing by taking care of it now. Having straight teeth that align properly are much easier to take care of and will save your teeth and much more cost in the future. Don’t be too scared of the bone loss just stay up on your regular dental visits and flossing is super important. Also get a water flosser if you don’t have one already to use in conjunction with regular string floss. Stick flossers are better than nothing but can’t hug the teeth and really get in there like string floss. Your beautiful and you’ll be so happy that you decided to take care of your teeth 💕
So do you think the invisaline is a good idea? I've had so many tell me it's going to make it worse and they are just trying to sell me stuff 😅 I trust them but would appreciate your opinion on that.
Yes, it is a good idea. The improper alignment and the crowding makes it harder to keep your teeth clean and having periodontal issues on top of that is more important to have teeth that are easier to keep clean. It will also potentially help you avoid potentially needing crowns or fillings in the future as much because your teeth will align properly when you bite and you won’t wear more in certain areas because your teeth will wear more evenly. The investment now will help you avoid more costly dental issues in the future. Every dentist diagnosis differently and has a different opinion and I’m not a dentist but have been in the industry for a long time and while Invisalign is an investment you are making that preventative intervention and investment now to potentially avoid more invasive and more expensive issues down the road. I definitely don’t agree that it would make it worse.

I had a puppy that peed his bed. After wasting the cover and t h e cushion a few times, i took a dollar tree shower curtain, folded it to double the size of the cussion. Rapped it, tapped it underneath and then placed the cover and that worked like a charmed.

Hey Kari. Ive been using water pic every other day and that seems to help with the build up, just use warm water. Love that your teaching Knox come, its the most important command. It can save a dogs life. Zoey might learn sit better if you take her out for one on one. I have been meaning to mention I have furniture dog crates, I dont know if you have seen. But your so crafty I bet you could make a nice looking cover for your wire crates. Love your videos. The furniture crates are on Amazon, Walmart and Wayfair. Wire is wat better for puppies though. Hope you see my comment.

Girl I had Invisalign! You’ve got this, it really wasn’t bad at all. It helped with my tmj and it was amazing! The Invisalign was pretty pain free.

Hey Kerrie. I just wanted you to know I used to spread my vacuum cord straight across the floor so it would retract easier but with your dogs make sure they are not near it because it can really hurt if they are in its path.

It is true your teeth do move around your 20s that’s why it’s recommended to remove wisdom’s teeth when younger to make room. Also there’s a few places where we get plaque no matter what because our salivary glands are right up those teeth. The front bottom ones we call them tooth 24 and 25 right under towards the tongue is a salivary gland and no matter how good you are at cleaning your teeth you will get plaque buildup. Just and little backstory

I've also learned that many times, when we first get fit and lose weight, its usually our smallest until we find a groove to maintain both life and exercise..which is usually a cpl lbs more and becomes our base line which is still great!!😊
Great video and I love seeing you with your fur babies! You may need to get a spray that gets rid of the urine spell to Knox. I know you can’t spell it but sometimes regulat detergent doesn’t get rid of it. The dress you tried on was absolutely beautiful on you. I am extremely sensitive to perfumes to and I like to buy the roller balls of little sprays to see if I can wear them. I wear Miss Dior (blooming ) and Dolce & Gabbana Light Blue. They are very light smelling and a matter of fact some of the negative reviews is because of the light smell. Just know you absolutely have to keep up 6 month cleaning past Invasalign because periodontal disease will not go away unless professionally cleaned. At least you can afford to take care of what you need and dream. Stay blessed. Invest in a good electric toothbrush and a water pik. Only have 1 set of teeth. Dental disease can cause heart valve infections. Not trying to scare anyone but as a 40 plus year nurse it is a scary reality and you have littles to raise❤
Don’t be too hard on yourself for needing a couple new tops! Also, that dress is so beautiful!
