Karrie you should use your rolling storage like an extra wall creating a room ( the back facing the road/ cars, this will give you privacy and security for your tools! when working out or being creative. ( also get a camera installed!)
Or facing the neighbor (the one that came out with her dog and was watching what you were doing in this video clip)
Girl get that electrician hubby to put you an outdoor ceiling fan up on that carport, that fla. heat is killer!
That rack is great because it limits you to only what can fit. Anything else has to go!
I had my aha moment back in 2016. I realized that I was really good at labeling, organizing and storing stuff that I really did not use, want or need.
I had probably 12 to 16 totes filled with holiday stuff up in my attic. Every year my husband would go up and down the ladder and every year Iâd use the same stuff and send the rest right back up.
When I started decluttering Goodwill saw me daily if not twice daily. Iâd fill up the back of my car and immediately donate it.
I went thru the entire house room by room.
Our home is so much more manageable and peaceful now. Cleaning is a breeze too!
We live simply and it just feels so good to not be burdened with the stress of managing all of the excess âinventoryâ
Hi Karrie,
I rarely comment, but I just wanted to say that you did a great job. Keep staying positive and putting God firstđ
This is the first time, I've ever watched your channel. Great job! Im just speaking for myself... If I had 16 totes of stuff, I have way too much junk. What if you didn't have a garage or a shed where would you store all them? The older I get the less I want in my house and in my shed. I've been decluttering for 4 years and I have got down to almost being on minimalist and I don't miss anything. I don't shop at major retailers for any junk anymore. I only shop if I need something. I can't stand clutter or bins staring me in the face because I know if I did, I have way too much junk. Be CAREFUL with that saw. construction workers love stuff like that and it could just walk off.
Karrie, You are one hardworking wife and mother. This garage area turned out just awesome and it looks neat and organized! Love it all,đâ€đđ§°đš
You can do a QR code and sticker for the outside of your totes and scan and see what is inside. That would help out alot.
You are a hard working young woman. I'm impressed with your skill set.
Looks great, Karrie!!!
Girl weâre moving from Calif to Miss. Iâm on a benderâŠof organizing! đ€Ł And Iâm a neat freak to begin with! Selling our dream home we built with our own hands 19+ years ago! Bitter sweet. And Iâve purged this house twice in the last year, 4 times in the last 2! I retired in September of 2023! Going from 2800 soft to 2300, so itâs downsizing for us too! And I have a garage full of stuff for my cleaning lady to take bc itâs all good stuff. You motivate me! So donât listen to the comments about your stuff being stolen or that rack limiting your space. Bc a neat, organized home is peace of mind. And itâs 6pm here and Iâm finally done for the day. So seeing my Florida little sister posted a video, and an organizing/purging video makes my type A, Virgo booty tickled pink! Next week Karrie will thank you! Those that can? Do! Thatâs that canât? Become keyboard warriors. đ
Most of us "keyboard warriors" are speaking from experience, I a retired (but still working elsewhere) police officer and KNOW what thieves do and some people making observations are speaking from first hand experience. Having lived about 25 years more than she has, we know what goes on. So it's coming from a place of care and concern, not trying to be what you called "keyboard warriors." It's real life, it happens every day, every city in America.
Watching this I started thinking đ€ You should enclose your carport and put a garage door on the front of it to protect everything. Maybe knock out a wall into your home and put an entrance door so if you need something thatâs stored in there you would have easy access to it. I love your tote bin organizer, so nice đ«¶đ»
It would cost a fortune to open the house up and close ot in that's why we decided not to do that . Maybe one day we might try it if we decide to stay here forever but right now we don't want to invest that much into this home.
I love watching your videos. Great job. Just a suggestion you should build a wood garage door 1 for privacy and 2 to cover your things. No matter how organized it is, it doesn't look pleasant because it is in front of your beautiful home that takes beauty off your home.
As always, you're awesome.
How about enclosing the Garage and making an outdoor entrance from the backyard? That way you don't have to knock any walls out from the inside of your house.
Love the tote shelf and how you organized everything. I agree with lady to turn totes toward the carport and and make a wall to block people driving by to look in while working.
I agree Karrie, I grew up not having anything new, Christmas was non existent most of my childhood even up until I graduated from High School!!! I tend to hoard a lot just in case I need it and I wonât have the money to replace it. Your carport looks amazing and like last video when I called you a Beast it was meant to be a compliment. You are such a hard worker, I worked like that when I was in my 30âs, now Iâm 73 and I have slowed down. You go girlâ€â€â€â€â€
What a difference. Looks great Karrie
I have those same totes for storage, theyâre heavy duty and I needed that. I showed my son how you were building the rolling storage and we were both so impressed!! Great job! đ
Girl this turned out so stinking good!! Iâm so happy that you were able to get rid of all of that stuff. It must feel so good!! I canât wait for all of the upcoming projects woohoo!! đđđđđâ€â€â€â€â€â€
You are so talented and creative. I learn alot from you.đ
Your outside space looks so tidy and organised, well done đ„°â€ïž
Girl, I can see you are working so hard!!!! The carport is looking great.
Painting with a Twist is THE BEST FUN! đ„°
You are such a giving person and very kind to your family. God bless you sweetheart, you are such a hard worker. I hope it comes back to you a thousand times, you so deserve it.đâ€ïž
Do yall use the carport to park a vehicle? If not, put the totes at the front of the carport-at a 90 degree angle from the carport wall-with the back of the huge bin system you built facing the street. Since it's almost the color of the house, it will look like a solid wall. I am in awe that you can have all that stuff outside and it not be stolen. Yall need an enclosed garage. Praying for that for you! As talented as you are - enclose that carport woman! It's two by fours-you can do it!
I think you can build houses too and your hubby! You both are a winning team!đđ„đ„đ
Karrie you did an awesome job!!! Be proud of yourselves!!!â€â€â€
I love what you said at the beginning of this video! Thank you for the encouragement. đ
It looks nice. Can you make some rolling wood panel doors similar to the ones on the side of the carport to use as a gate to lock off the front? Itâs only a matter of time before your exposed tools are stolen, security cameras or not.
This is the inspiration I needed! I've been putting off organizing my garage for 3 weeks now
Looks amazing!!!! Turned out so well!!!
Great job Karrie your carport looks amazing đ
I completely understand the fear of letting go due to financial hardship. I'm trying to clear out stuff too. Faith over fear. You said it right Karrie... pray about it. That's what I'm having to do as well. I love your determination!â€
Love the shelving! Great job on the carport!đ
You are an inspiration for home improvements. I love what you have done with the carport. It looks amazing!
Just seen the neighbor she must be saying what is she doing now đź
đ
Neighbour is prob worn out just watching how much work goes on! I know I am!
đđ
It looks great !! Good job !! Plus it's easier to be motivated to workout in an organized space .â€
đđŸđđŸđđŸđđŸwell done you deserve an amazing work space â€
Great job! Have you thought about maybe screening in the back and side of the carport to keep some of the leaves out? You are such a hard worker and very inspiring!
Amazing construction and downsizing. I'm going through that now. Moved to a smaller place and it's 1000's of decisions my mind gets like mush!! You need a vacation!! Lord give this family some RnR!! Well deserved blessings to the hilt!! Amen!â€
Carport looks great!
You're a powerhouse! I love it. Maybe consider a trellis with a creeper to shield your valuables from the road.
You could put your tote lists in page protectors in a slim binder and keep it on the little shelf on the side. Then if you change the contents of one, just change out that page.đđ»
What a huge improvement...Congratulations! It is so hard to let go of stuff but I've decided most of my bargain purchases were really junk after all! lol Keep up the great work, just don't get burned out.
Fantastic job !
Looks great! You must live in a super safe neighborhood. Do you ever worry about something being stolen off your carport? You have quite an investment between your tools and workout equipment.
WOW Karrie Lynn, yâallâs carport looks amazing !!! I hope yâall have a wonderful weekend and many many blessing days ahead đđ·
Karrie you are such a hard work all of your projects turned out so good I always love your videos you and your husband are a great teamâ€ïž
Karrie Lynn Your one tuff cookie! I commend you for doing all that hard work. My husband works and I am a home maker and just after taking our two German Shepards and my shitzu a bath in 90 degree w/humidity 60%. I was so out of it. Not to say I was done I then had to dry them and feed them. They are my babies. Just like our homes we take such great pride and it is all worth it in the end! Thanks for all you motivation đ
Brilliant job perfect for what you need, I think there is an app you can get to list whatâs in each tote which would be a good idea.
Karrie you did a great job. You go girl! Such a dramatic change. I would just paint your existing ceiling white to brighten up the space. No need to put money into covering it. Also maybe screen in the area to keep the bugs and leaves at bay or at least the back and side wall. I can't believe you have all those tools and equipment out there and nothing gets stolen.
Looks great, on our totes we use a strip of colored duct tape for the different seasons orange for Halloween, red and green for Christmas etc.. works great that way we know which box or tote to grab when decorating for whatever season.
Great idea!! I've always been big on labeling everything...colored tape is a simple but genius way. Sounds so basic...but has never crossed my mind haha.đ€©
Fair play to you. Great job, amazing welldone
Have you ever thought about screening in your garage for more privacy? Didn't know if building codes might prevent you from doing this in the future. God bless hon!!â€đ
Karrie, you have to be the most incredible woman in the entire world! You amaze me. I would have just wanted to lay down in the. Middle of all that and cried. Everything is so impressive and functional! â€ïžâ€ïžâ€ïžâ€ïž
turned out AWESOME!!
Karrie, you did an awesome job decluttering and cleaning the carport. Everything you built and put together was perfect for maximizing the space.đŻâ€ïž
Your space looks amazing !!!!!
Everything looks so good!!!
There is an app that you can print a QR code on a sticker for those totes and you can scan it and see whatâs in it. Look for it! I wish I knew what it was called!!!! Looks amazing as always! Everything you touch turns to gold â€
Now thatâs a good idea
Wow I struggle to put together a card board box lol yep I do đđđ

I love it!!!! It looks really good.... good job đ
I agree with the fear of not having enough bc rhe money isnt there! I have gotten over that Since I started to declutter in 2019. God had to teach me that he doesn't need human means to provide and it doesn't have to make sense to us! Ive gotten rid of so much and I dont miss it, and anything I feel like I need I just take it to God. He always provides!
Thanks for the decluttering motivation đâ€
Great job enjoyed
Great job! Hope your proud of your self
Wonderful job.
Looks great
Hey Friend, Happy Saturday. I donât want to spend my life in fear and worry either. Life is too short for everything to be filled with worry and fear. We all need to work on taking risks and not thinking about what would happen. đ Hard work can be challenging while youâre getting something done. However the end result is so rewarding once itâs done because your hard work is paid off. I am the type that needs to see the progress being made as well. đ†I love that these videos combined a diy projects and cleaning up the car port in two videos The car port looks so much better, it has organization down packed. Hard work really does pay off great work! đđ„°
