Brilliant video Cam and I love your honesty, it's great to see you are human! Its still early in the year and as the British calendar is backloaded, you will be in peak condition for the Tour of Britain! Best wishes for the season ahead.
As an NHS doctor, canât hold back the irony of you not following the coaches plan, just like patients who donât follow medical advice - all while NHSP sponsor. Great video - 30 secs, 3/6/12mins sounds a brutal test
Appreciate your honesty Cam. Good to see that even the pros have days where they just haven't got it when it comes to indoor power tests.
if I seen 950 watts on my Garmin id take it back to get fixed lol
Ahahahaha
Great insight! Love watching these kind of vids đ
Brilliant that you share this info! Some proper amateurs hide their info for some bizarre, comical reason so nice to see a pro being open.
Nice one Cam, still a great score, nice to see Callie cheering you on!
im cycling for one year now and my ftp is 5.3 also did the prl full in 4hours and 45 minutes at 3,8 watt pkg
Cam these are big time numbers. I know you may have had a few more watts in the tank, but these are crazy impressive nonetheless.
Amazing vid cam!
Great video Jeffors, Banger FTP #'s
Donât know what all the fuss Is about, those efforts looked easyâŚâŚfrom my sofa.
Those are good numbers for offseason. In my opinion you are ahead. Its a subconscious mindset you need to reprogram. A level of suffering.. The right amount of recovery can give you better numbers.
Cracking insight Cam and plenty of training time đ Would you change your zones based on this data ?
Yeah slightly mate!
@@Cameron_Jeffers people grab bits and say look FTP but it's about effective training. Like Ed, Chris and yourself saying this helps so many newcomers to understand. Nice work đ
Nice Job!
That train-sition though. Waheyyyy
After being off the bike for over a year with a serious back injury. I bought myself an indoor trainer/bike stand thing. Letâs hope I can get back into the saddle and ride some this spring.
I always have problems pushing as much wattage indoors...I think most people do
you need to have a good trainer - I use Neo2T and regularly push 1200W+ during sprints. Once that is out of the way, the room should be cool (not a problem where I live), around 15C maybe and lots of ventilation - adaptive fan really helps here - you can get a wahoo one or build your own
Wonder what the impact of post-cvd may be on a healthy person, bit like me and being an asthmatic....wonder what my lungs/efforts would be like.
I'm asthmatic but wasn't so bad. After covid it defoently peaked and I was taking the most steroid I have done for 3 years or so. And through illness and a few months after it's still there but straight after covid it was hard to dig deep as I just not be able to breath and my legs would fall off
@@joshpower1073 Glad you're recovering and ty for sharing the experience.
Song at 2.40?
So what is the FTP
HahaâŚI was told you are supposed to ignore your coachâŚafter multiple fails on my recovery rides he ordered me to do them with flip flops, jeans and a warm coat to keep my watts below 100âŚyes below 100
Curious as to why you choose a flat road for the 12 minute test...my coach tells me to do PT's on climbs when I can.
Probably just wanted a run that was 12 minutes uninterrupted.
I'd be v happy to have numbers anywhere near those..
Great stuff
Barely sweating-i want your fan!
I had beans on toast for lunch today as well. Did nooo do any efforts, however.
Cameron the rebel
I can't belive it only has 18k views because people are indeed obsessed with power numbers. :D
Oval or normal chain ring??
Normal :)
Christ Cam, 12 min effort flat out, some going. Must be time to shave the legs soon ;)
Smooth? Made me chuckle
Beans on toast - the food of champions
Morrissey wants his haircut back ;)
30 sec. 913w
3 min. 473w
6 min. 407w
12 min. 388w (done in a separate session)
Keep it up cam
Thanks Musa!!
Thats a shame... looks like you're going to have to do it again as you didn't do it all indoors hahaha rather you than me đ
đ¤Ł
Agree with coaches đđBut also you may need glass when riding outside Chickens đ¤Łđ¤Łđđ
Just got to say those werenât chickens they were emus.
Why did you delete my comment?
What did you write?
I didnât delete anything mate đ
Ah I think the CZcams censorship algorithm kicking in.. can't have "vacc*ne and "NHS" in the same sentence it seems..
Anyone can report a comment which will lead to your content being deleted
WTF, the NHS are constantly whingeing they don't have enough resources, now we see them frittering away some taxpayer money sponsoring cycling vlogs. Madness. What is going on in the UK??
My thoughts too. Must be desperate for staff to end up promoting on CZcams
Staffing is one of the biggest, if not they biggest, issue for the NHS. It needs to speculate to accumulate unfortunately. Also it's been forced into a position of promoting itself if you ask me. Stagnating wages, worsening work conditions, high costs of training for nurses and doctors, dependency on recruitment agencies etc etc are all factors as to why staffing is an issue
First
Lets goooooo
Yes will!!
