    really nice report! like! going to fly the EW CRJ again in two weeks (HAM-DUS) and another time in october. (DUS-TXL) reports will follow :)

    @6:41 spoilers deployed in the air !! :Oo I guess this is normal as everything turned out OK. I have learned not to panic if I see this on a flight

      I remember reading somewhere years ago that said that spoilers should never be deployed in the air (uneconomical???) but I see it quite often. In fact, most of the flights I have been on have had the spoilers deployed at some point during decent.

      I'd imagine it would reduce lift but probably used to slow the aircraft for final approach and landing. Good video!

      Aw thank you! Yeah, it's to slow down the plane...either way, I like watching them getting deployed hahaha!

      Yeah they are usually deployed if the plane is descending but also picking up speed, they are more likely seen when a plane descends quite late, so there's no time for being too fast to land. I often call the spoilers the "lever of shame" as most of the time when a pilot has to retract them (in the air) it's probably because the pilot/s messed up lol
