Tonight we are on a Loganair's ERJ-145 from Glasgow International Airport (GLA) to Southampton Airport (SOU). I always love a flight on loganair but having traveled down to glasgow airporyt from aberdeen the same day I had a lot of time to kill. I decided to pass the time in the Upper Deck lounge in Glasgow airport. The upper deck lounge in Glasgow International Airport offers some great views of the apron as well as great food and drink. Watch this video to learn how to make the best of a late night Loganair ERJ-145 flight from Glasgow International Airport to Southampton Airport when you have a lot of time on your hands.
Flying late at night can be a hassle, but with this late night flight from Glasgow to Southampton, it's not so bad! The cabin crew are great and will make sure you have a comfortable flight. Plus, the flight is relatively cheap, making it a great option if you're on a budget.

What are your thoughts on Loganair?
I've flown many times since the 1970's with Loganair. A great airline.
We'll be giving them a try for the first time later this year. We've heard good things and are looking forward to our short flight from Aberdeen to Belfast.
Really good. The staff are so kind and it is very simple and not complicated. Good snack on the flight as well when I flew from Birmingham to Inverness

Done the same return trip last year to see guns n roses at hyde park with my best mate going to do it again end of June to London to see pearl jam the flight & the crew were fantastic 100%🤝😊

Loganair really expensive, (did this flight every 2 times each month for 7 months). Enjoyed flight and good service. Southampton Airport check-in and security really short and sweet process. New planes are better.
Will be flying with them next year from Edinburgh to Southampton for the first time.

Great video and commentary. I'm flying Loganiar for the first time in a few weeks and am looking forward to Exeter to Edinburgh. The only downside is I'm taking my sister. When it comes to price the fare includes a hold bag and of course a Tunnocks and coffee. Flybe charged less but look where they are now!
Despite the price I do love Loganair, they have always been very good with me. I hope you enjoy your trip with them.

Loganair looks a terrific airline to fly with, but I found Easyjet cheaper. Great photography and choice of music again, Dom.

I've just booked this route SOU-GLA to go to the Open golf at Troon next year. Last time I was at GLA was at the end of 2021 during the travel restrictions and the airport was just empty except for our BA flight to LHR, and most shop/restaurants were closed
I hope you enjoy the flight as much as I did. I was also sad that British airways cancelled the Edinburgh to Southampton route, that was also very handy.

@@s125ish What exactly do you want to achieve by posting that? I was referring to early November 2021...Glasgow Airport was very quiet, COVID was having a big impact on travel at that time, if you want to be pedantic.
@@MrPhil1503 perhaps November 2020 but most restrictions were dropped in July 21
@@s125ish It was still pretty restrictive in terms of trying to travel, even if there were no official restrictions in place. There were much, much fewer flights scheduled, you needed proof of vaccination for the airlines and the countries you were flying to, needed a mask for onboard etc. That's all I was trying to get across, that Glasgow airport was almost empty, nowhere near as busy as it used to be, or is nowadays. Well done you for picking up on a slight generalisation on a comment from 4 months ago 🙄
That's my most frequent route, I really like Southampton airport, 90 seconds after walking down the a/c steps I can be in my car. But I'm also really surprised at how quiet Glasgow airport is these last few years and having spent many an hour at Glasgow airport the Upper lounge is a very good choice.
It has become much quieter over the past few years after Ryanair closed its base the cheap early morning and late evening slots are very quiet now with EasyJet only having a modest route network from Glasgow & a lot of flights moving over to Edinburgh, this is a very good and underutilized airport.
Do you think you will give the EasyJet new service (starting Winter 2023) a try? I hope a price war doesn't start on the GLA-SoU route!

how can you get duty free going from glasgow to southampton
There is a small section of the duty free area in most airports that allow duty free for internal flights. Just ask at the desk and they will point it out to you next time.
Is it my imagination or is Glasgow Airport always quite these days?? Every time I was there last year it was like walking round a ghost ship. I would love to travel Logainair more but a bit pricy for me
Its only ever really bus now mid morning to mid afternoon, after Ryanair closed its base the cheap early morning and late evening slots are very quiet now with EasyJet only having a modest route network from Glasgow. This was also filmed in winter so TUI & Jet 2's busy period hadn't yet started. Your right though it is a lot less busy than usual and definitely needs to expand it route network.
@@WorldWide_Dom I think the biggest issue is getting to the airport by public transport, if your from Aberdeen or Inverness Edinburgh seems easier to get to by train, tram or bus. Glasgow is on a slower very expensive bus into town.
