Also remember, Jake couldn't hear the music hole before but now he can. The only people that can hear the music soul are children with a sense of wonder in their heart or those that have suffered great loss, The treehouse being destroyed was Jake's catalyst towards being able to hear the music hole
Before the crown got reset, it would change anyone who wore it to the ORIGINAL wearer's wish. Meaning, anyone who put it on would become OG Gunters version of Ice King (how OG Gunter saw Evergreen). So OG Gunter became an Ice Wizard and resembled Evergreen's appearance, but Gunter also lost his mind in the process because the crown's power drove him to madness, like it does with almost everyone else who wears it. Once the crown got reset, this version Gunter had the same wish, except penguin Gunter's version of Ice King was a version that actually loves Gunter instead of treating him like trash. He's still a crazy Ice Wizard though, but he bares more resemblance to Simon's version of Ice King than Evergreen (which is why he immediately started playing the drums and the first words he said was "where's Gunter, my beautiful child that I love."
it's kinda crazy how the ancient evil space alien who literally existed before there was anything else just wanted to be loved by ice king
@@Forbidden_Chocolate if i’m not mistaken, the penguin form completely changed orglaorg motivations altogether. he wasn’t evil, all he wanted to do was chill and party. But in relation to the crown and the wish, the only influence that orgalorg MAY have had is the fact that the crown was completely absorbed once Gunter put it on. May be because Orglaorg was known to absorb massive power/magic sources and become stronger that way. Possible that was Orgalorg’s goal when putting on the crown but just like the OG Gunter, he was overwhelmed by the wishing power and the crown turned him into Ice King cuz that’s what the Gunter/penguin part of him wanted the most

Don't forget the creators have confirmed that Gunther is the Ice Thing we see flying in the Thousand-Year future. Which does unfortunately suggest that the crown still eventually drives you insane
theres someone on reddit that said a beautiful thing about gunters wish. The theory is that gunter realized Simon being back meant Ice King was no more, so instead of wishing to be evil, he simply wanted Ice King back because he loved him, so he wished for that. But since Betty Golb had protected Simon from the crown's power, the wish was botched and the crown morphed Gunter into the Ice Thing.
Fun fact: 1:00 that white pup is the second of Jake's grandchildren, Gibbon (Charlie's son whom she already predicted on "Daddy-Daughter Card Wars" episode). One of his eyes was replaced by one of the Ice Thing's gems and it gave him immortality and control over "pink ice". He's been the ruler of the Pup Kingdom for 1000 years.

@@f4iryth964i think wayy later. because dustant lands takes place about 80 or something years after the finale. then him and jake reincarnated. but shermy and beth are 1000 years in the future. i think finn and jake had the time reincarnate a bunch of times inbetween those years

@@river8803 There are parallels between them and Finn & Jake, but it is not heavily implied they're reincarnations. There were also parallels made with Gunther and Nina back in the episode Evergreen, but we know for a fact those were not past incarnations of Finn and Jake either.

28:00 something about this simple line always stuck with me. That sensation that just because a Story ends, their stories don't, is very touching.
Oh boy I was crying my heart out when the finale happened I grew up watching the show ever since the first episode. When Golb showed up I was like wtf and seeing more of the future of ooo is so interesting. Ugh and the reveal of Gunther being the ice thing was crazy. Another detail you missed in the opening was the white cat shooting the pink ice was the child of Jake’s kid who in her episode merged with her old self and that son took one of the gems from the ice thing and put it in his eye. Marcy and PB were also in the opening as well the being on the rock duck that showed up the same episode as Marcy that was her on top of it and the shot of some pink hands behind the ice bars was PB with Marcy looking for her. Even patience the ice elemental shows up with the ice ball being the first thing we see in the opening. Even the end credits hit so hard😭
24:48 it was cut in the reaction but Finn has a line here that I’ve never stopped thinking about ever since the finale aired

The way they brought back the crown for the finale was so amazing. Remember, the crown doesn't just grant wishes, it senses your deepest truest wish at the heart of your being and that is the only wish it will grant. Just like how Gunter couldn't use the crown to wish the comet away, Betty couldn't use the crown to wish Golb away because it wasn't her deepest truest wish, that wish is to keep simon safe, which is why the crown worked when she input that as her wish. Now imagine being Simon and you have to live with the guilt of knowing that another human dedicated their entire livelihood towards you and your existence, to the point your safety is their truest deepest wish?!?? Ugh they did it so perfect, ice king/simon is best character 10/10

it makes simon in fionna and cake even more interesting. he's now obsessed with bringing her back, not knowing she just wanted him safe. her wish couldve been to have infinite power and he would still love her.

I mean, it was also because Golb was too powerful for the crown to override (as Betty said). Golb is a Cosmic Imagination level being, that'd be like trying to delete chaos and entropy from the entire multiverse. The crown just isn't strong enough.
@@itsentdev if golb was too powerful for the crown, bettys eventual wish wouldnt have worked imo, she said that cause she didnt understand why it wasnt working i think
@@trevorbrooks7816 The crown was strong enough to merge them (persisting chaos), but trying to remove chaos from the multiverse is just impossible. It's also possible that GOLBetty was a destined evolution, considering Golb appears to have returned to normal post F&C Season 1.

I'm not one to cry a lot, but that last scene, where you see everyone slowly go on with their lives and finally Shermy and Beth being the "new" Finn and Jake... I always tear up man. It's because they're not doing it to honor their memory or anything like that: that's their own thing, and that means even when Finn and Jake will be completely forgotten, even when Shermy and Beth will be completely forgotten, there will always be another reincarnation of them picking up their first sword and starting a new adventure.

What a great show. I'm fairly saure that season 10 was pretty rushed, but it didn't FEEL that way, y'know? The major things are, if not wrapped up, then at least they ended in a satisfying manner. That montage at the end, the song from before... BEAUTIFUL!!!
And I really like how much respect can be felt for the original show in the two continuations we have so far (DL and F&C ep1&2), they don't feel like they take away from the finale at all and thats just awesome, man...

Adventure Time was my childhood show and I always loved watching it so Come Along With Me felt like the end of an era in my life so every time I watch it, it always gets me emotional. The song Time Adventure is one that I will never forget the lines "It can seem unforgiving when a good thing ends but you and I will always be back then." Hits super hard and is the most relatable song line I have heard. Truly an Impeccable ending to one of my favorite shows of all time.

Such an excellent and well written show . This whole series was so deep and invoked so many different emotions ! From episode one to where we are now is drastically different in terms of character growth and subject matter, the show really grew up ! 10 out of 10 series for sure !!! 👌🏾🔥🙌🏾❤️❤️❤️

My favorite episode has always been The Hall of Egress.
Adventure Time did what they do best for the finale: Teach us emotional maturity, tell us a story straight out of a drug trip, and hoed out ALL of our damn hearts in the process. Honestly this entire show is a core memory and it helped raise me.
Let me tell you, when i first watched this finale i weeped so freaking hard, especially with the ending song showing every character that appeared in the series... Adventure Time was my childhood

He didn't say she was never alive he stated that she isn't alive at that point. Vampires are Undead and she's a Vampire at that point. But her half Demon form clearly was alive. She was Born, grew grew up, her alternate reality version became an old crone and eventually she would pass. That's all the checkmarks of being alive.

I can’t believe how long it’s been, it feels like just yesterday I was like 5 and watching this, my little pony and monster high all day, I’m so thankful the franchise has been continued though and successfully unlike the others that flopped painfully 😭😭
There was an episode where lemon grab and LSP went on a date together so technically the ship isn't out of nowhere just out of a random single scene
We see that Betty can continue her conversation even while being digested, so it makes sense that Simon would indeed remember everything.
This show really is somthing special.

I would reccomend watching the fourth episode of distant lands before the third they have no spoilers and the third just gives a much better place to leave the show off imo

The Stakes miniseries is one of my personal favorite moments of Adventure Time. Marceline is one of my favorite characters so that is one of the reasons. It has been a long journey, but it ain't over yet

I feel like Adventure Time is just its own thing. There are shows that try to be similar, and some of them are pretty good. But Adventure Time holds such a special place in my heart. I remember being a littl kid watching adventure time

At this point of the story it's true that PB and Marcy could still be alive a thousand years later. The non vampire old lady Marcy was a thousand years old, so for her vampire form it shouldn't be a problem, and PB assumed to have the longer natural lifespan of the two.
The actual answer may have been brought up in some continuation by now, but I'd prefer not to know. To me it was also the right choice to limit the appearence of essential present day characters to BMO. Not only is it more satisfying for me as a part of the audience, it's would also be smarter for the creators in case they want to tell more stories with the characters in the future. Locking up 1000 years of the characters lives for sure would only make sense if they want to make sure to not be tempted to milk the characters for too long.
