Midweek Bonus: Citroën ZX TD Cold Start, -6°C/21°F

Starting a 1996 diesel Citroën ZX in -6°C weather. An extra battery pack was required! Then I couldn't close the door after filming since the mechanism had frozen open, in the end I had to warm it up using a freezer bag full of hot water before it would close again!

It's a lot better than I was expecting! I picked it up as a project, and even in it's current tatty state it's still so nice to drive.

Do your car shake when you start it up

Once the engine has caught it usually runs very lumpily when it's very cold, I can feel it shaking the car when it does that!
