  • @mrmrgaming

    It's not the same party...yes, and in many ways, that's a shame.
    The Tory party is a mess right now, but I will vote for them in the hope this woke/champagne socialist/promise you anything/lower voting age/welcomes all who make it here to gain votes/no doubt higher unemployment (every single time they are in power) from getting in.
    It is basically down to the lesser of two evils.

    • @juliegregory3900
      @juliegregory3900 Před 9 měsíci +1

      First, factually incorrect re employment. It's not just the tory party in a mess, the country is in a mess! Labour invested hugely in our public services, didnt you benefit? Would you like that again'? A billionaire was created every other day even during the pandemic and people with million pound pension pots were given tax breaks, is that the country you want? Obviously don't answer if you're a millionaire/billionaire hedgefund manager Russian oligarch or a tory donor....

    • @mrmrgaming
      @mrmrgaming Před 9 měsíci +1

      @@juliegregory3900 From Full Fact.
      Q"The Labour party has never left government with unemployment lower than when it came in."
      A"This is true of most Labour governments, including the two most recent examples, which both saw unemployment increase, according to current data. But historic unemployment data, while not directly comparable with current data, suggests there’s at least one exception, with unemployment falling during the Labour minority government of 1924." ONE time, and the keyword for that one is they were the Minority, so not really any credit to be had lol
      Do Labour spend on public stuff, yeah, they have done some good, but their issue tends to be that when the bill arrives, they leave out the bathroom window and leave us/the following party to clear the mess up.
      As for the rich, it sucks yes that a few profit and companies can pay less than they should, but it is this way. The big firms account for something like 80% of our paid taxes, so if you bother them enough with wages/taxes and the likes, this is a list of what they will do.
      Put prices up.
      Cut overtime.
      Cut hours.
      Hire fewer people.
      Close shops.
      And the big one. Move to another country that is offering them tax breaks. Hell, some countries even pay for some logistic moves because they know that they will gain it back in taxes and jobs it will make.
      I am not rich, and I voted Labour for around 16/18 years before dropping them. Do I like the Tory party now, no, but I like them more than Labour.....and that's saying something.
