Before removing the factory screen I've been trying to get info about these type of radios without any luck. What factory controls you loose when using this radio? does the A/C works? can you add an XM modulator? does the factory rear camera works? any info would be greatly appreciated.
Yes ac and heat works.... U can connect a rear camera to the unit also. It has all the video/audio wire that comes with unit. I will do a video of everything that works on the unit soon
Hey man, gives me hope. Had a shop put in a android unit and no AC controls. I can use up and down buttons on the side of the head unit. Does the hvac controls pop up automatically once you have these connections in place? Do you have to download a app? Or will it just work? Thanks in advance!
Exactly! There are no actual male antenna plug.. You would have to purchase an after market antenna & a male to female 20 feet extension antenna adapter and connect it to the antenna box that's located in the trunk of the car.. I purchased mine from ebay

Did you connect the top 3 wires ? There’s 3 wires that used to go to the little led screen on top of the navigation screen.
you dont hook anything to the NAV connectors? becuse I can only see my temp. but cant contol it in the "aircon" app. I got a 04 ls430
