    For sports teams is it common to join several? Also for freshers would you recommend the city or campus wristband, as there’s loads of stuff going round rn?

    • @miaalicex
      @miaalicex  Před 4 lety +9

      I wouldn’t say it’s common but some people do yes! And GET THE CAMPUS WRISTBAND FOR SURE!!!! Alllll the freshers go to the SU events, the city events are mainly for returners. Most people had the SU wristband and I know a couple people that didn’t and they had to queue for ages to get into the campus events without a wristband while all their friends/flatmates did have one which was sooo annoying so don’t miss out x

    Love this video! I have just finished my sport science degree this year and had the best 4 years there from studying, sports and night outs! Definatly agree about the "not cool" thing, my placement was unpaid (90% of sport science are unpaid unfortuatly) however expenses were paid and the uni and company was super helpful with finances! Best of luck everyone going to Bath, you'll love it!! xx

    I completely agree with you on people at bath not judging you for going on certain nights out and things - my flat used to go to cheesy moles alot but I also had friends who preferred to go to Bristol for a night out. I also haven’t met anyone from Bath that I don’t like everyone I have met so far has been really friendly. I have just finished 1st year btw :)

    I’m very not sporty and I’ve still met some of my closest friends in my non-sporty societies, so I agree level of sportiness really doesn’t matter at all!
    Having lived in London and another large-ish city in the U.K., I definitely think that Bath uni itself is not that diverse in comparison to other unis, but it is relative to Bath itself as a whole, if that makes sense. That’s what I’ve observed, at least!

    Thank you for making such a useful video! You said that you were able to decided whether you will take a placement year or not. Then is it possible for management students to make a placement decision even though they applied the course with no placement year? Thank you.

    In your experience, do you think that international students and local students mix much or do the groups stick together more? Thank you so much for your video, I've firmed Bath and this video has made me super excited to go x

      @miaalicex  Před 4 lety +1

      A bit of both. I’ve defo seen big groups of all Spanish people, or all French people for example. But also I’ve seen loads of people mixing! And no worries 💗

      @dadt8009 Před 3 lety +3

      It's natural for people to seek out others who have some things in common with them. This is especially true in a new environment. Young adults are also facing all sorts of new challenges in life. So, don't be too critical about people staying in their own groups. Remember also relationships are two-way. If you want to meet people from all over the world, you have to step out of your comfort zone and take initiative. Join activities who are organised or participated by diverse group of people who don't all look like you.

    • @miaalicex
      @miaalicex  Před 4 lety

    • @Bob-on9ej
      @Bob-on9ej Před 4 lety

      miaalicex is the food delivery something students sort out or is there any information about it when you go to bath? I thought delivery was fairly expensive. Cheers for the help, massively appreciated.

    • @miaalicex
      @miaalicex  Před 4 lety

      Bob 2002 no you just go on any supermarket website and order it. Minimum spend is £40 and then delivery is £2-4 depending when you get it delivered. So you just get however many people in your flat to add to the food shop and everyone pays for their own stuff then split delivery cost.

      I've firmed Econ+politics and I only did politics a level. I've been watching videos from this course on the Duke University youtube channel czcams.com/play/PLEJy2f_EWBqX1yIF-VP1MJsgnYy8OLK7t.html as the videos are interesting and I have loads of time because of lockdown. I've also done some maths work for economics as well. I think we'll be fine as long as you do some reading for the basics
