      Most gun owners who want to get their voice heard on firearms detest the NRA for not being hardline enough... compromising on laws and seeking exceptions for specific manufacturers under oppressive laws instead of looking to repeal those laws and doing what gun owners want.
      Like repealing regulations on firearms and accessories. As well as the free exercise there of.

      That actually makes a bit of sense. Someone who's flown all their lives thinks nothing about it. I had an instructor just a few weeks ago who's never been on a plane in his life freak out at the idea of having to go to Texas for training (he was fine).
      The more time you spend with an idea and never actually experience it, the worse it becomes. I grew up in the Bronx during the 80's. I dodged drive-bys when I just entered my teens. Gun violence to me is just a part of life. I can't imagine how frightening it must be to someone who never had to deal with that and their entire world is just this... protected instance that most people will never know.

I admit I don't know enough about different types of guns to say which should be kept, but I definitely think that guns that are more heavy-duty and shoot more quickly/multiple rounds very fast don't need to be in people's homes. I wish guns just weren't a thing, but I recognize the reality of our country and the necessity, sometimes, of gun ownership, so I don't think every gun should be banned....

      @@tk-5764 That's true. You also have that disadvantage if you're defending yourself with a knife. Give my grandma a knife and any 15 year old boy could overpower her without getting a nick. Give her a gun though, and I know I wouldn't want to be on the guy trying to attack her, even in my best years. She's quite proficient for an old lady, and she's always packing heat. Even saved my grandpa from getting jumped by 3 guys half his age once.

      I live in Texas but in the wealthier part of Dallas and I’ve never met a single person who has owned a gun for protection. I’ve never even seen a pistol in person. I’ve only seen hunting rifles. I can’t even recall the last time there was news of somebody being shot in my area. Coming from a really sheltered life, it’s crazy how dependent people are on guns in some parts of the country

    I live in Colombia and guns are extremely restricted here, you are not even allowed to carry any pointed objects. But, everyday people are robbed and killed with knifes and guns and the crime rates are way too high. So often people go out to the streets worried to be robbed while as a normal citizen you are not allowed to carry anyyy type of thing that may protect you and even if the person get's caught by police they would be released in a couple of days, so personally, I can't wait to move to the States and carry my gun for protection because more than once my family has been at risk and without being able to protect ourselves

      @The Bradcast you'd be surprised at how many people aren't involved with drugs and alcohol that are homeless, it more has to do with the rising prices and businesses not giving their employees more money to be able to pay the higher prices, at least from my understanding. And yes, a great handful of homelessness is caused from drugs and alcohol, but not all of it is from that.

You could say Guns on social media or public platforms for or against. is educational access and operational reviews or commercial promotion better than non exposure and censoring. Gun Owner Parenting and the methods they used. My dad was a cop for 13+ years but he was by no means a gun nut. And my mom is anti gun. Quick access or Locked up. We had guns that were locked up in cabinets and others that were in closets and nightstands from when I can remember ages 3-6 etc.

Conservatives say that we should have guns to fight a tyrannical government. This is true. However, Black people face a tyrannical government on a daily basis. When we try to tell conservatives that, they deny our reality. Instead, they fly "Blue Lives Matter" and "Back the Blue" flags in their yards. I’m a police officer myself who was in an officer involved shooting just days ago and I can say from first hand experience what you see on TV is not reality. You don’t have the luxury of time to make a split second life or death decision so when a decision is made that ultimately takes a life, you’re not thinking about the color of the assailants skin but the consequences of inaction in that moment. My department has over 1,000 officers and I’ve never seen or heard of any biases based on race or beliefs, not saying they don’t exist but they’re not rampant like people claim.

      I'm australian and have made the decision to not visit the US until they get some sort of control over their gun violence. And honestly just the violence in general. We get horrified over incidences here that are just seen as daily life over there - doesn't sound like a very relaxing holiday

I totally agree that there is a lot of violence and that we need to get some control over the background possibly even yearly back ground checks and possibly not allowing people who have been charged with assault to have guns but I’m afraid but heavily restricted gun control isn’t the answer because i come from London and have seen first hand if you ban one thing criminals would just use something else like knife or acids and even then it wouldn’t be the end of gun violence because on average there are 30 gun violence cases a week and 5 fatal shootings a week in London and that’s despite the UK having some of the strictest gun control there is

      Because the legal definition varies. In just about every jurisdiction, drawing a gun and pointing it at someone is considered having pulled your gun on someone.
      However in some places, merely showing someone you have a gun on your person or drawing it and keeping it pointed at the ground is still considered having pulled the gun on a person. In others, it isn't.

    the US has a real problem with easier access to guns. while it won't necessarily reduce gun violence, buying a gun should be a time-consuming process. Here in South Africa, the gun laws are super strict: for those who want to legally buy a gun, there's usually a 3-4 week waiting period, and in those weeks you have to apply for your gun license (for every gun), which includes taking a mandatory competency test (both practical and written) especially if it's your first gun of that type, and only after your application for a license has been approved by the government several weeks later are you legally allowed to take delivery of your new fire-arm, in the mean time you are allowed to lay down your deposit for the weapon. in terms of location, gun-stores have to follow a strict set of requirements in order to qualify for their fire-arms license, like: if the store is within a popular shopping center/district, it must be in a secluded area of the building/neighborhood; the store (specifically the guns) must be located in a reinforced concrete vault with little-to-no outside windows and a reinforced spring-loaded security gate that has an magnetic lock as the only entrance, plus it is forbidden to advertise any of the weapons on the outside of the store.

      Christo Abrie well in a lot of cases the place that have the strictest gun laws have the most violence and in the case of the waiting periods those are useless, where I live it’s a 10 day waiting period which does nothing but make you wait and it really isn’t easy to get guns in any state you still get background checks in every state and where I live you have to put your guns in a safe or you have to put a trigger lock for every gun and I don’t see why taking a test would make you eligible to own a firearm

      I think this is a good point. I think that people have a right to own a gun for protection but I really think we need to step up the qualifications. If everyone needs to go through a drivers test, pre licensing course and hours being taught to drive I think that you need to have courses and then test on gun safety and proper handling before you’re allowed to purchase any firearm

    There is exactly one constitution and it literally reads "the right of the people to keep and bear Arms, shall not be infringed."
    Everybody is free to own a gun or not, but by the supreme law you are not allowed to regulate how other people choose to protect themselves. Each and every law that seeks to limit the access to firearms or ammo is unconstitutional and thus void (marbury v madison).

      It starts with "well regulated militia to keep a free state". Which is just ambiguous enough to possibly read a "you can own a gun if you're part of a well regulated militia" or "everybody has the right to own a gun".
      And then there's another debate you can get into about what a "will regulated militia" even means.
      Either way, the point of that amendment was to protect citizens from the government (not other citizens). There's no gun on the market that can do that for you if the government decides to come for you now.

      Now imagine you don't have hundret thousand terrorists but 80 million gun owners. And most of the military wouldn't fight their own fathers, brothers and families but ignore the orders and join the resistance, same for the police. And funding and everything from ammo to food wouldn't be supplies as it is produced by said 80 million americans.
      The milita part is just a preamble, a raison d'etre, and not in any way a restriction on the individual right to keep and bear arms. And the militia would win a civil war. Always.

You may get some people in the "backwoods" that can make it difficult on the military. Maybe. But the majority of our country lives in large cities and easily accessible suburbs that the military knows all about.
      It's a nice thought to think you could stop the military if they wanted to takeover your property, but they would have to be very lenient for it to be a realistic thought.

There is just a shitton of enlisted, reserve or veterans that took an oath to the constitution and would never participate in large scale gun confiscations or war against their own families. Most would ignore orders or join the revolution. Only few units with even fewer support and supplies would actually fight, and they would never beat 80 million armed people plus all the dissidents. Not only did you fail in socilogy and psychology, but apparently your geography also sucks. The USA is 99% backwoods, and so are 50 million people. 100 milion citizens in urban centers, 180 million in suburbs or small cities.
      Let the democrat cities suffer if they so please and elect, everybody who is a man enough to hold a rifle will be using it against the government should it becomy tyrannical.

There are a lot of shotgun and hunting rifle owners too. They just own different guns, and don't talk about it as much. You undoubtedly know someone who owes a gun... You just don't know it.

    Your cultures are the products of monarchies and empires. For centuries, you have been regulated, and bowed and kissed the ring of authority. Even with rebellions, governments have quickly squashed them, or new government establishments have been rife with over-regulation, and Europeans have very often just dealt with their governments' actions. Meddling, taxation, arbitrary regulations that are simply tax hoops to jump through, etc. Even in the first establishments of parliaments and other forms of representation, a central power of authority was maintained in every previously autocratic state that adopted a system of representation. This is true of nearly every European territory. Especially now, with the existence of the European Union, you are subject to regulations put in place by people who share nothing with your country, except a border and a currency. Whether you believe the regulations you are subject to are justified or not, realize just how many laws, agreements, taxes, officials, and hierarchical structures of authority you are subject to obey by point of sword, when you've each only a pen.
    The United States was founded on the very principle of REBELLION, rebellion against autocracy, rebellion against taxation, rebellion against unnecessary regulation, and rebellion against dependence on anything other than one's self. The United States was founded WITHOUT a central power (federal government) on PURPOSE, to avoid over-regulation, and a disconnect between the ruling body and the common man. The largest government body that was meant to exist was the state government, and the United States was just the unification of those very separate states. Later, a federal government was established in response to difficulties with currency exchanges, interstate trading, and skirmishes between state militias (what were the standing armies at the time, comprised of every common man, every one of them armed). In fear of a regression to the past over-regulatory governing of colonial America, a Federal Constitution was written that established a myriad of checks and balances, and a Bill of Rights, to ensure that no sect of government had unchecked power, and the People had explicit rights that were guaranteed by the highest form of Federal Law. In this Bill of Rights is the 2nd Amendment. It reads, "A well regulated Militia, being necessary to the security of a free State, the right of the people to keep and bear Arms, shall not be infringed." Colloquially, the word "regulated" meant "organized", "put together", and the Militia has always been meant as an armed populous of common men. This is explicitly expressed in another draft of the 2nd Amendment that reads, "A well regulated Militia, composed of the body of the People, being necessary to the security of a free State, the right of the people to keep and bear Arms, shall not be infringed; but no one religiously scrupulous of bearing arms shall be compelled to render military service in person." Take note of the line, "being necessary to the security of a free State". It's very important, because the Declaration of Independence reads,
    "That to secure these rights, Governments are instituted among Men... That whenever any Form of Government becomes destructive of these ends, it is the Right of the People to alter or abolish it, and to institute new Government."
    The 2nd Amendment exists to ensure that all of our rights are protected by the People, with the weapons of the People, such that, should our government lose its purpose in protecting our Rights, we have the means to overthrow said government and institute a new one. The Founding Fathers regarded the mere existence of government itself as literally a "necessary evil". This sentiment is represented today in the form of the American People's inherent distaste and distrust for government, and we keep and bear arms in our culture so that we, or our children, or their children, and so on, will have the means to take drastic action against an overbearing government, should they ever have the need, and the duty to do so.

    Thank God I dont live in the US. I would not want living next to people who have guns in their home. The most baffling thing is how ignorant these people are when it comes to the dangers of owning guns so easily. I was schocked when they didnt agree that the mass shootings happen because of that reason. I am living in Europe and we never ever had some like this in our schools.

      Things are insane here, the crime rate has jumped massively due to the prices of things such as house, cars, etc. and jobs don't give people a higher salary to consolidate for the rising prices, so people have reverted to crime to be able to survive and some people are willing to do _whatever_ is 'necessary' to be able to feed their families or at least give them a roof to live under. That's just my perspective on things, it's probably different for most, but that's just what I know from my understanding as a minor :)

      Agreed! I often forget to lock the doors at night and have no problem coming home from a night out with friends at 4 in the morning by bus and on foot. Pros of living in a small eastern European country I guess!

    I’m glad the gun store owner was there and spoke when he did. It’s a perspective we don’t hear very often. I believe most people assume gun store owners would want to sell guns to everyone but the fact that his shop exercises the responsibility to deny sales is a take I wasn’t expecting.

      But see... that was my problem there: That him preventing the guy from purchasing a firearm was a "judgment call" based on his instintc and experience. That the background check LATER showed that this guy had mental health issues. If the guy had gone into another store and the person behind the counter would have missed the warning signs or just for whatever reason decided differently, this could have ended in tragedy (as it so often has). Maybe it's because I am Euopean, so the issue of "everyone has the right to carry a gun" seems insane to me. But here in Germany and Italy (I am the daughter of a hunter and have a license to own and carry a rifle for hunting purposes myself) you have to go through rigorous background checks, physical as well as psychological exams AND written as well as practical tests and exams to even have the right to carry and own. And you have to renew said license - those tests and check-ups included - every few years. Those background informations can be checked instantly, and purchasing a gun/rifle requires that you bring all those documents with you. In addition to that you have to wait a few days until every information clears to get your newly purchased firearm handed to you. You are obligated to keep your guns and rifles in a safe. If that is not the case and someone from the respective department comes to check (which can happen, they do spot checks of registered gun and rifle owners) you lose your license. And all that is just for people aquiring guns and rifles in addition to/because of their hunting license. The requirements for law enforcement or private security etc. are even more severe. I remember we had ONE school shooting 2009 (where a kid stole his dad's gun and tried to take revenge on his school and classmates), where 15 people got killed. And NONE since or before that. And that is why mass shootings are not solely a "mental health" issue. I can't help imagine people in America - some sixteen, seventeen years old - running around buying semi-automatic guns, not even knowing how to put the safety on. I'm not saying that the US does not have any responsible or experienced gun owners... just that it probably also has a whole lot of irresponsible and inexperienced ones. And we all know people with anger issues or who love to see themselves as John Wayne on steroids. And they can't all be sussed out by a responsible and observant gun store owner.

      @@NickShaw92 thanks for sharing your personal point of view. It's not often we (those of us in America) get to discuss such issues with people from other countries. I agree with ALOT that you're saying and I see the benefits of such. But when our country was founded it was written as plainly as possible that every person has a right to have a gun (right to bear arms - actually doesn't only mean guns, but that's another discussion) I agree that there are some individuals that shouldn't own such things due to psychological reasons. But to want to outright ban common weapons for those of us that follow the law on a daily basis is just wrong. It's like saying there's too many cars accidents and wanting to ban any car that goes over 25mph. It's not fair to the rest of the population that follows the current laws. Why not enforce the current laws a bit harder to persuade people from breaking them? I live here in Virginia where currently some of our government proposed a bill to increase the penalties of using/brandishing a firearm during a crime and it was denied by the other half. Why? Virginia is currently in the top 5 of safest States in this country, but we've been one of the most pro-gun states for years.. if guns were the sole issue then I'd think that statistic would be completely different.. if you look at states with some of the strictest gun laws, their crime rate is double/triple. The citizens in America outnumber law enforcement tenfold. There's no way they can truly protect all of us. So we rely on our right to have a gun to protect ourselves.

      @@koycarley1787 Hey. Thank you for the respectful and insightful response. I understand where you're coming from and am aware of the history and significance of the second amendment. I just don't think that what is happening currently is what the forefathers had in mind when they penned the constitution. In my opinion there must be a way too keep the intention and spirit of the second amendment alive while also coming into the 21st century, applying heavier regulations and bringing down the number of unnecessary and accidental deaths by firearm. Because in the end times have chanced. Ways of life, mentalities and firearm-mechanics have change since the 17hundreds. The constitution was supposed to ensure and preserve the freedom of the American people... but also their safety. And when looking at current statistics and the ove situation the second amendment is not doing that... or at least falling severely short of its promise and intended purpose. I'm not saying it has no place on modern times (it is written in the constitution after all) but regulations and laws should reflect those changes and the amendments intended purpose. Every American has the right to bare arms, but if they really want to and it is that important to the. they should also be willing to put in the work to and ensure that they are doing so properly and safely without risking health, freedom and safety of other American citizens.

    jubilee needs a patreon with longer uncut versions of the videos. its obvious that these videos cut a lot of stuff out and this may be the best of the conversation but i would gladly watch each of these videos for 30 minutes to an hour. even 2 hours if it works well! and i would gladly pay for that experience too. love u jubilee!!

      That's not what she meant though. You can't carry all pistols with all outfits. If you have a pocket carry pistol how are you going to carry it while wearing a dress for example? Or the one you carry on a leg holster while wearing jeans?

      I mean there are definitely different holsters for different occasions depending on what you are wearing, and I can't think of 4 different guns you might need depending on what you are wearing but I can solidly think of needing 2. A full size gun for the winter because you will be wearing more layers, which means less chance of someone noticing, and a more compact gun for the summer because you will be wearing less layers so it's easier for your gun to print.

      @@shelbyeverson462 different guns to suit different modes of carry. you canthave a large glock strapped to your leg while wearing a dress but you can conceal it with a sweater or a vest or whatever. she might go with a gun smaller than theone on her leg for her pocket carry for better convenience. i cant think of 4 different guns she would need but i can think of a few examples. so i dont think it is impossible.

      Yeah every country is different obviously. When you’ve experienced not being able to defend yourself in sketchy places like Mexico, you realize how lucky you are as an American to be able to defend yourself. That’s why whenever I get sent for work to sketchy places in the US I always carry. But yeah I’ve been to London and Vancouver and it’s a very different feeling. You do feel safe and it’s pretty chill. Anyway cheers 😊

      @Tala Habern In what world do you live in where guns are the only reason to feel unsafe? Are you not aware that guns have been used defensively MILLIONS of times to prevent things like rape, robbery, and murder?
      Mass gun violence wasn't a problem in the 50's, despite gun culture being even more pervasive back then (people would carry their guns right into school for gun clubs). So you have to ask yourself, why is it a problem now?

    10:24. She talks about ppl taking their rifle to school in the 60’s. Then talks about mass shootings. Sis, a rifle isn’t a rapid fire gun. The guns they had in the 60’s aren’t the same ones we have now. It sucks these videos can be used as information toward stances on certain issues when there’s no fact checking involved. There was never 100 ppl killed with a knife in Japan either. A quick google search is all it takes. I can run from someone trying to stab me with a knife. I have a higher chance of surviving it. I can hide in a closet. A gun would shoot thru the door. A gun would easily and rapidly shoot down so many ppl in seconds. I’m not against guns. I’m against weapons of war. You can protect yourself from an intruder with a slow gun. Even tho pro gun ppl always say that we can’t control shootings, it’s just life, then why are we trying to control home invasions? If they think victims of gun violence were just unprotectable. Why should they be allowed protection from a home invasion? This video speaks volumes of where their political stance lies and their views of guns when it indirectly affects them the least.
