Most people get pissed off when you overtake them in a pickup, most are prepared to kill themselves or someone else to get back in front of you.

That was good fun to watch particularly passing the X5. I bet it was icy cold too so good for lots of high density boosting. No smoke too from the TDi - well tuned Darkside Developments.
Amarok is no ordinary farm truck that thing is absolutely crazy! :O

Considering it's completely out of it's natural habitat the upgrades and mods are impressive as is the body control through the corners it's very well set up hardly any noticeable body roll or understeer, very impressive for a truck top work lads!
Spot on. That car is so far outside its normal comfort zone but is coping so well, some incredible work/development there

Just got my v6 rok remapped yesterday at 328bhp. Its a beast now.
If i lived in the UK you def. would be the one who tuned it! Im from the netherlands so tad far away lol!

So this is why I had a bloody Amarok glued to me back bumper getting out of Halifax.
Didn’t move an inch from me so guessing he was backing off 👍
Still have the adbleu system, and probably all the other anti pollution systems aswell, and yet faster than a x5 lol.

They use the Amarok as ambulances over here in Norway, put the whole box on the back, it seems to do fine even with added weight. :P
As a massive fan of pickup's i'm happy to see an absolute weapon of a truck. Be interesting to see what you guys can do with the Ranger

Absolutely awesome, 1 suggestion I do have is to lock the exposure on your in car cam, make sure you tap the windscreen to set it to expose to the outside then lock it 👍

Amazing what a 2 ton truck can do on track , just goes to show that VW builds all their vehicles to handle all crazy kinds of conditions and roads. 👍
Yes but understand that this Amarok isn't at all standard. There's nothing VW with regards to suspension, geometry, brakes, power etc. The VW parts are the body and the badge. The rest is completely changed. Making your comment somewhat redundant.

They didn't have the gopro on spot. so it would catch the brighter light outside and not try to focus on the closer darker interior.

25 mpg after track session
I did 140kms in my stock Passat TDi Wagon and averaged 17lt/100kms on my last track day. Never missed a beat and raised a few eyebrows. Would have been even better if you could put a decent wheel alignment on it. ✊ TDi FTW

Ok. With 400bhp, even a 2 tonne truck is going to be quick in a straight line but how the hell does something on cart springs get round corners like that? The old hairpin isn't for the faint hearted either.🤭
