    Hi!
A couple of additions for information dissemination.
1:32 This type of house was popular sometime before the First World War. It was actually a tenement for poor people. It's called gang house. The name gang comes from the German word gang / corridor. At that time, German was the most common language in the then Kingdom of Hungary.
The railings, cast iron and wrought iron ornaments probably date from this period. The interior spaces are high, as they were lit by candles at that time. The standard prescribed this too.
4:25 The two buildings on either side of the Freedom Bridge were originally the collection point for the bridge's user fee. Each bridge had one of these, two on each side. That's all that's left. Today, the two buildings have a small free exhibition about the history of the bridge. The bridge is identical to the original bridge except for minimal repairs.
7:42 The Belvárisi Plébánia templom (Downtown Parish Church) in the middle, across the road.. It is not as famous as the Saint Stephen's Basilica, but it is much older (it was the first church on the Pest side) and at least as spectacular.
Cheapness is no longer true, as you have experienced. Plus, it's tourist season. By the way, even within the country, Budapest is more expensive than another large settlement. Perhaps you can find similar or higher prices around Lake Balaton.

You should have asked me where to find good reasonably priced lángos. By the way lángos is hand food, you tear off a piece and eat it. You can definitely have dinner of high quality for a much lower price if you go out of the city centre a bit.

You should have eaten the lángos in the market hall, it's better there. Try the simple one with garlic, and do not fall for the fancy toppings. 😊

Hope you had a great time in our capital, mate. Don't forget to visit the countryside next time!
Some interesting tidbits: you don't need to use a knife and fork to eat a lángos, it is perfectly fine to eat it using your hands only.
The local noodles on the side of the chicken paprikás is called as "nokedli" or alternatively "galuska" in Hungarian.

I live very close if the accommodation was on Raday Street. Which is definitely not cheap, because it's a pedestrian street full of restaurants. There are much cheaper accommodations a few streets away in the same part of town, closer to the Corvin district. In the house where I live, the apartment next door of us has been turned into 3 new mini apartments either with double beds and air conditioning. I recently saw a price of 28 GBP for 1 night. Váci street is the oldest and most expensive pedestrian street for tourists, especially the old section from Szabad Sajtó street to Vörösmarty square can be expensive. Regardless, prices have gone up a lot in recent years, thanks to the Orbán regime.

Wow that’s cheap! I just found the accommodation on booking.com and wanted something central so picked that but will definitely look for something cheaper next time. Thanks for watching 🙏🏼

As a Budapest resident, I would advise everyone to come here in ten years' time. It is true that the Citadel on Gellért Hill will be finished next year, but the famous Royal Palace will undergo a complete reconstruction. The entire castle district will be restored to its original, pre-World War II state, inside and out!

Just one golden rule for the next time. Never eat lángos with fork and knife again. We just grab it and bite. It's like when you eat a chip of pizza you just grab it bite it and eat it. You can eat lángos like this no one will think that this is disgusting cos everyone eats lángos like this.
