We travelled to Cheddar Gorge in Somerset on a beautiful, sunny Saturday morning. In the southwest of England. I had never been but always heard how beautiful it was. And I was not disappointed when I got there. The place was stunningly beautiful and in parts it didn’t even feel like I was in England anymore. Enjoy our mini vlog of our day out at Cheddar Gorge. #england #travel #roadtrip #vlog

i prefer lángos with smoked cheese and loads of garlic, salt&pepper
Yummy
Its more like a gourmet kind of thing its very good but overpriced and something you would get on rare ocasions but your better off wih a small shop that does the best donner kebab youve ever had for £5 also the donner is good but very fulfilling and when i got the original kebab they loaded it up with onions to the point that there was more onions then kebab
@@kosarmohsin9849 yeah independent kebab shops are much better and tastier 👍🏻
These were all main places where tourists go, dig deeper and you will find even better places in BP
Such a cool vibe and idea to turn old run-down buildings into bars.

Did you guys not find the locals looking depressed, sad? Aren't they grumpy, nasty? If yes, do you have an idea as to why?
@@linguno no generally people were fine and nice: There were a couple shops where the people serving weren’t very friendly but that’s just how some people are I guess
I think you are depressed instead of the locals.
@@molnrire these years in Hungary, of course I am!
@@linguno I understand it. Your favorite "mafla" is the mayor of the capital. It's indeed "depressing".

the lángos is eaten by biting - not fork and knife by locals. it's an absolute strreeeet food, or more it is a beach (pool) food (lakes, baths, strand =open air baths)

Thats a nice video, but next time you eat lángos try it to fold your lángos in half and eat with your hands like eating a hamburger

The pass was a good solution. 5:16 😁 7:00 Dolmanyos varjú dolmanos varyu (Jacket crow) . Hungary is the western edge of their territory. Goulash is always soup. Stew is another dish. 11:46 The red is hot salty chili sauce. It is a traditional spice. Raw hot peppers ground and mixed with salt. Some people also add vinegar because it reduces the pungency. It's called Erős Pista( Strong Stevie) , which you can buy in stores. If you want something spicier, there is Bivaly /buffalo Pista. Attila Isten ostora (Attila's God's whip ) is more pungent than that, The Utolsó kenet (Last Smear ) even more pungent. There are places where they add dry paprika berries to goulash soup. You have to be careful with it because it surprises you. For the shoes: you can see the post-war activities of the perpetrators in the House of Terror. The Málenkij robot memorial tells about what happened between the two events. 14:22 the blue-yellow flag is the Székely flag. Today they live in Romania and are constantly under attack because of their Hungarianness. 16:13 it's interesting to listen to the Czech Smetana's Moldva. The clarinetist also included a small variation in the performance. In classical music, this is considered a glory for the composer. In the old days, it was customary to play personalized music at the guest's request. 17:46 The Bálna (Whale) This is an event center.
I almost had a heart attack when I saw how you eat that lángos! With a knife and fork? Plz don't do this :D
It is understandable imo, it is greasy and you have to wash your hands afterwards.
You should have eaten the lángos in the market hall, it's better there. Try the simple one with garlic, and do not fall for the fancy toppings. 😊
Wow Budapest is beautiful. One of the most beautiful city in Europe.
@@yellowscreen8591 agreed 😊
Fantastic variation of things to do there. Love the thermal baths ❤
Overall it’s a “nope”, Gary eats also reviewed.
I live very close if the accommodation was on Raday Street. Which is definitely not cheap, because it's a pedestrian street full of restaurants. There are much cheaper accommodations a few streets away in the same part of town, closer to the Corvin district. In the house where I live, the apartment next door of us has been turned into 3 new mini apartments either with double beds and air conditioning. I recently saw a price of 28 GBP for 1 night. Váci street is the oldest and most expensive pedestrian street for tourists, especially the old section from Szabad Sajtó street to Vörösmarty square can be expensive. Regardless, prices have gone up a lot in recent years, thanks to the Orbán regime.
@@smyle78 yes we were in Raday street 😊. Wow that’s cheap! I just found the accommodation on booking.com and wanted something central so picked that but will definitely look for something cheaper next time. Thanks for watching 🙏🏼
Great video ! Pálinka is the drink of the soul, it should be drunk slowly and sipped! This is not "schnapps"!
@@egyszeriember thank you very much 🙏🏼. Yes we were told this after we had done the shot by one of the bar men 😆. Please consider subscribing so you don’t miss my next Budapest video in this series 😊
Just one golden rule for the next time. Never eat lángos with fork and knife again. We just grab it and bite. It's like when you eat a chip of pizza you just grab it bite it and eat it. You can eat lángos like this no one will think that this is disgusting cos everyone eats lángos like this.
@@matekiraly46 thanks for the advice I will do this in the future. I don’t have any Hungarian friends so no one was able to advise me before going to Budapest 😁
I have something to talk with you of about your videos. How can I contact with you for this?
Whenever I have friends or family over in BP I will take them to the New York and/or Gerbaud. But we only go there for one coffee and a look around. They are really very beautiful inside but prices and food there are so overrated these days. I know a bunch of other coffeehouses that are equally beautiful, much more cosy and have much more reasonable prices and much, much better coffee, pastries and cakes ... The Szent István Bazilika is indeed beautiful but is a bit pompous to my taste. I like the interior of the Mátyás templom much more, with the painted walls and the medieval atmosphere. But that's a personal thing, I guess. About the ruin bars, I never frequented those. They started out cool but soon became a very touristy thing. You went to the Szimpla at the right time in the afternoon, in the evenings and nights it can be awfully crowded with tourists. You don't even hear a word of Hungarian, personnel there is even astonished when I reply in Hungarian ... Love your vids about your experiences in our beautiful Budapest!

You should have asked me where to find good reasonably priced lángos. By the way lángos is hand food, you tear off a piece and eat it. You can definitely have dinner of high quality for a much lower price if you go out of the city centre a bit.

Hope you had a great time in our capital, mate. Don't forget to visit the countryside next time! Some interesting tidbits: you don't need to use a knife and fork to eat a lángos, it is perfectly fine to eat it using your hands only. The local noodles on the side of the chicken paprikás is called as "nokedli" or alternatively "galuska" in Hungarian.
