It's great to see these companies finally adding two axis gimbals to their camera drones. And still keep the price affordable for budget shoppers. Having that gimbal made the footage much more watchable than one that doesn't have it. This drone also has a lot of nice intelligent flight modes to help new flyers get some good video on the their first flight. Great review, you really put this one through it paces out at the field.

With the exception of the horizon not staying flat when you tilt the camera down, the video is pretty stable. I like this one, nice job Dave.

It doesn't connect the app with my phone, I use my wifes phone and there's no problem, but mine, no no.
Do you have an idea what could cause this inconvenience?
My gf just bought me this drone for my valentine's gift. I believe I will have a great deal of fun with this one. I used to have a DJI Spark a couple years ago then sold it. I've been droneless since so it will be great having a drone again to fly on a nice day.

Wow, this one is pretty good!! Very little wobble in the video. Much better than I expected. I figured it would be on par with the FQ777 F8 but it is actually much better. This is definitely the best budget gimbal drone. Kudos Dave!

does the SD card actually record anything for you?
On mine, everything is recorded to the phone directly. Nothing ever gets recorded to the SD card.

Turns out you need to have the card formatted to Fat32 for the drone to record to it.

at the start of the l109pro it has enough vibration and after a while you normalize, why does this happen? you can help? thanks
The vibration on the landing pad is due to the props, but once in the air the 2axis gimbal stabilises the video perfectly, thanks for watching

Hey I am relatively new to the hobby and have a question. Why do you enable airplane mode on your phone while flying?
Airplane mode helps keep out the connection of other wifi signal interference that may be around like from houses and buoldings, so it has a better connection with the drones wifi, thats why i always fly and connect to my phones wifi in airplane mode. Thanks for watching

Great review, I got my 109 gps Pro today and it's great, but it doesn't seem to save pics or vids anywhere, sd card in the head and can't find the save locations on the phone or on the card. I hope it's something stupid that I've missed. Did you have any issues?
I didn't have any issues like that at all, saves to both SD card and my phone, maybe youre using a faulty sd card or one that is too large in capacity? thanks for watching

I have the same drone now for about a month now it flies great but my way point donât work and It is constantly losing my wi-fi. I have never got over 15 minutes and have many flights now. The WI-FI when it stays connected is only good for about 350 to 400 meters not 800.
Thanks for watching Eric and your feedback, i will be testing out WiFi and control range next, the FQ777 F8 drone which shares a very similar camera gimbal and transmitter to this L109 ended up getting 800m WiFi range easily in the area I was flying in this video, so I'm keen to see how this one does, overall I think the L109 is better than the F8.
PERTH WEST OZ RC. I just came back from flying I went out to the country with nothing around and I got 740 meters before it started breaking up flew it out to almost 1100 meters but lost sight so did auto return and it might have been off the pad a foot. So now I know thereâs to much interference in my local area. Tried to fly in my backyard and I had about 25 different wifi connections. Thatâs why it kept dropping signal

Hello Ezra, you need a phone that is capable of dual band wifi, so it has to be compatible with 2.4G and 5G wifi to be used with this drone. Check online your phone specs and see if it has 802.11ac wifi. Thanks for watching

I don't have a mavic mini atm but for its low price its pretty impressive. Of course the dji product is better but you are paying more than double in price for the mini

PERTH WEST OZ RC Unfortunately not everyone has the knowledge you and I have, over here in the UK we have a couple of high street chains specialising in gadgets and gifts, you know the type of shop , â toys for boys â kind of thing without mentioning names. When I look at the absolute rubbish they sell it makes me cringe , they even trade on the fact itâs so good you donât even need a license !

Don't own that one only original beast drone with up down tilt, I've heard the beast pro isn't that good mate, has jello in the video and telemetry issues on the tx and also sdcard DVR issues where it doesn't record to SD, for me the L109 pro is by far the best drone I've tested and own in this price range, with coupon code I've provided its only around $120US, that's darn cheap!
