Man, all those incredible bands and many more… there’s so much great music out there in different genres. I haven’t gotten into anything new. No doubt there’s great underground sounds. I found underground hip hop of the 90s from “Nikola” I believe. If you’re into golden age of hip hop from the east, great tracks from the underground of big stars and artists you didn’t hear of.
my favorite decades are the 80s-2010s, because of bands like Melvins, Shellac, Big Black, Interpol, The Strokes, MGMT, King Gizzard and the Lizard Wizard, Thee Oh Sees, Tame Impala, Radiohead, Pixies, Slint, Sleep, Uncle Acid and the Deadbeats, Red Fang, System of a Down, Mastodon, and Deftones
Right now, the band that will continue to bring new things to rock is måneskin, along with other emerging bands, we should already consider that meneskin is lifting up rock

Really puts into perspective how far advanced Led Zeppelin was when they came out in '69. Light My Fire and All Along The Watch Tower were hard stuff too, but Whole Lotta Love was like absolutely NOTHING anyone had ever heard before. They completely turned rock n roll inside out bringing in heavy blues and soul with the hardest guitars and drums anyone ever heard at that point. Really amazing what they did.

He chose stairway in the original version of this video, but a lot of songs have been mixed up and different ones chosen. Eg, Love Me Do replaced by Surfin USA, Surfing USA replaced by I Wanna Hold Your Hand, Jailhouse Rock replaced by That’ll Be The Day.
I think after 1995, with a few exceptions, the songs only get worse and worse. It's kind of sad, because that's not the kind of rock The Doors or Jimi Hendrix were fighting for.
Music evolves, that's its nature. If you're stuck in the past and only listen to that kind of old psych rock (which is very good) then of course you won't like modern rock
Also there's plenty of fantastic rock that's come out every year, and I think the uploader chose some bad examples for some years.

Academically, scholars cite 2010 as the year Rock died, and the last minute and a half of this video supports that. It had a great run from 1955-1995 and ran on fumes for a bit after that but we cant argue that rock is dead and bands nowadays are just parading its corpse around.
