- Hey everyone, welcome back to another video! I went with Oliver and Riley over to Catalina Island to try our luck with some calico bass on the artificial lures. We had a tough time scratching anything together there so we shot back across the channel and fished inside Long Beach Harbor where we found some aggressive bass. I also brough back a sheephead from the island for us to cook up at home!

I pulled a big fat 20" Calico from San Juan rock at Dana on Sunday, the bite was on. A friend of mine also got a 50# + sea bass on a kayak out of Dana also that day, Keep an eye out.
I love hearing that! Been hearing about more and more wsb

Welcome and thanks for watching!
My wife and I fished around Catalina Island on our Honeymoon so it brought back a good memory.
That sounds like a great Honeymoon!
@@fluentfishing We got married at the San Clemente somewhere close to Dana Point where we stayed and I took her to the galleries in the Laguna Beach Area and also took a day trip to the gas light district in San Diego it was our first trip west but she rewarded me with a fishing outing. I got lucky:) We enjoyed the cooking part of your vid as well as the fishing. We are in horse country in Kentucky. Cheers have a great evening TMI but what the heck….
Awesome video!
Thanks!
You got a big ass engine for your boat. Get to Catalina in 30 minutes!
Haha it is Oliver's boat but ya that thing flies!
You should consider adding your gear in the description! Helps with the algo and us gear nerds can get some insight.
I like that idea!
Cracks me up when you send’m off with See Ya! My boat’s name is SeaYa! Ken in San Diego. Keep it up man!
Oh that is awesome haha what a great boat name. Thanks for watching!
NICE CALICO I HOPE YOU RELEASED IT.CALICOS THAT BIG ARE FEW AND FAR BETWEEN.
We did let the calicos go!
Lane Kilian of Warbaits produced a video about fishing the rock jetties around Long Beach. My comment to him was: 'There are Donkey Kong Calico's and Sandbass near our local jetties'. I've actually seen a calico caught from Cabrillo Beach jetty so long it's tail stuck out of the duffle bag.
There are definitely some giant fish there!
What reel is that with the blue braid on the sheep head
It is a Gomexus slow pitch reel.
Resume 21:00
I wish I could have done that for real that day haha
Hi what is The Name Of The jig You Were using video
I started with the Defiant Spinnerbait then we were using the Strike King 10XD Crankbait towards the end!
What was the water temp? Great video!

Thanks! The first one was the concept tx and then the concept a3
@fluentfishing I have three A3s and what a great reel!! I was looking for The TX you were using!! Keep up the great content brother 🤙
@fluentfishing are the concept TX and concept A3 the same size reel??
@@bryanheiselman000 The a3 is bigger, more like a 300 size reel
@@bryanheiselman000 Oh gotcha, ya the a3s are great reels.
How big is your boat? I’m looking to buy a boat to make Catalina fishing.
Mine is 18ft but this boat was a 26ft pathfinder.

We were just finding lanes in the kelp stringers to bring our baits through.
