Can’t wait to see the footage!!!
So excited for you Pie !!!
That pole tripod adapter is GENIUS!
The 3d printed tripod adapter is a brilliant idea.
Great seeing you Pie. Have a great trek.
This sounds like an amazing journey! Have fun, I look forward to your videos about it 👍
Excited for the trip video mate!
Epic Landscape!
Thank you pie
Looks amazing!
Wow, should be a great trip! Going to Iceland is on my bucket list. Enjoy, stay safe! Looking forward to your videos.
Hey dude! Great video as usual and super jealous! Have fun!
Awesome 😊🤟🏻
New to the channel, good luck.
Im planning to do the PCT next year.
Best regards from Sweden
Yeah boyyyyyy
Check out Nylofume pack liners! They’re excellent, cheers!
Great video, I like the editing. Summer hiking on Iceland is amazing from what I've seen, I'm interested in doing it myself. I'll stay tuned for videos from your trip. Good luck!
Thank you! Cheers :)
Amazing trip. Iceland truly is an adventurers paradise.
One question about the vasiline on the feet.
Does that work with any vasiline? I have a preference for the aloe Vera “flavour” for lip balm too. I hate plain on my lips. So I was wondering if you thought that would be good to prevent blisters too?
Have a great trip.
Regards.
Hey, I just found you through Dan's video. You have to be careful with the drone in Iceland because a) it's crazy windy b) they are not allowed in some places like Diamond Beach c) lots of birds and some of them can get aggressive even with humans
Im curious, how come you aren’t using your Northern Ultralight pack for this trip? Was it too small for what you needed to pack?
are there some more details about the 3D printed tripod adapter? looks good
ill see if I can dig somethign up
Ever consider the “ Packa” rain gear????
What you think after trip about Patagonia Joggers?Just bought them and feels nice.
Did you have any issues with the Gossamer Gear The One in Iceland if you had very windy or rainy nights? I'm going there this summer to hike, and also want to bring my The One along (rather than my sturdier but way heavier tent). Just a bit nervous if it can't handle rough weather (only used it in mild weather so far). Thanks!
Great question! You should definitely watch my series here on CZcams for some insight into the conditions we faced on the trip. However, The One did fantastically well on the trip and I would probably use the same shelter if I did the same trip again. We had one very windy night with loose/sandy soil where the main/vestibule stake pulled out and thus the tent collapsed but I got up in the night and restaked it and all was fine. If I was to go back and hike north of vatnajokull to the east coast I would consider a freestanding tent as that is apparently a rough weather area and the ground is very sandy/loose.
Hi I navigated your site but did not see the gear list for this trip. I would appreciate it if you can share that with me. THANK YOU!
Just curious Pie, did you choose The One over the Altaplex because you didn’t have the Alta yet, or do you prefer The One?
Good question! I love them both, Josh used my Altaplex on the trip (can see it in the vlog series from the trip) and I used The One, I'm about 5'10 so dont necessarily need the extra space in the Altaplex
