About One Hour One Life
This game is about playing one small part in a much larger story. You only live an hour, but time and space in this game is infinite. You can only do so much in one lifetime, but the tech tree in this game will take hundreds of generations to fully explore. This game is also about family trees. Having a mother who takes care of you as a baby, and hopefully taking care of a baby yourself later in life. And your mother is another player. And your baby is another player. Building something to use in your lifetime, but inevitably realizing that, in the end, what you build is not for YOU, but for your children and all the countless others that will come after you. Proudly using your grandfather's ax, and then passing it on to your own grandchild as the end of your life nears. And looking at each life as a unique story. I was this kid born in this situation, but I eventually grew up. I built a bakery near the wheat fields. Over time, I watched my grandparents and parents grow old and die. I had some kids of my own along the way, but they are grown now... and look at my character now! She's an old woman. What a life passed by in this little hour of mine. After I die, this life will be over and gone forever. I can be born again, but I can never live this unique story again. Everything's changing. I'll be born as a different person in a different place and different time, with another unique story to experience in the next hour...

In one of my runs there was this person 'Panth East' who kept on killing people until the village killed her. It then became a custom in that village to 'Curse Panth East' as soon as you got old enough. I spawned in the same village a little while after I died, and guess what? People were still saying 'Curse Panth East' when they got old enough.

@@articxunodorseggnej8016 can’t remember but it starts with 5 mommies and everytime one monkey grabs a banana they are sprayed with water. After the mommies learn that banana = cold water they start attacking any monkey who goes near bananas. They are all replaced one by one and even after all the OG mobiles are gone and no water has been sprayed on the new mommies they still beat any monkey who goes near the bananas (basically)
I wish there was a way to practice-play so you can learn the basics by actually doing things. That way you can not worry about being a pain for other players. Reading about it is fine, but the best way to learn is doing it.
You can play the tutorial as many times as you want, and there's plenty of stuff to learn in the secret area :)
@@TwistedHBG Haha, thanks for the info. This game looks like fun, so I've got to try it. I didn't realize there was a tutorial, but I started reading some guides and there is a *lot* of things to learn. And of course your videos explain a lot (and are just fun to watch also).

@@TwistedHBG what secret area ?? I'm a new player myself..didn't play more than 15 lives maybe.. a couple of those I died in the first 5-10 minutes. And most of the others I was just a drag to other players.. how could I learn more to play a lil bit better
In the fan made mobile adaption there is! There's a few servers where you're spawned in a box. Depending on what you want to do you can learn how to craft, make food or make tools!
I would like to see you play like that. But focus on a single task. Like making a mega berry farm. Or being a master smither. Maybe a clothes maker. Just spend your entire life dedicated to doing as much as possible on a single goal

I spent one of my life taking care of the elderly and putting them into graves when they died. Was pretty fun
I make as much food as I can on hot coals by building a few fires and tossing a flat stone on one, I roast rabbits and cook eggs for everyone if I don't know what to do
There needs to be a learning mode. Not a tutorial. But a way to play without starvation looming or babies every few minutes so you can get used to making stuff and finding stuff. It takes so long to learn and even get used to controlling actions because for the first 15-20 minutes you’re often. Edge of starvation all the time. And then I’m so paranoid about starving that it’s hard to focus on anything wise

Drinking water should make you become colder. So if you're in the desert with lots of clothes you can drink water to cool down.

Can you teach people to stay away when people are forging. Tell them to watch if they want to learn. Its frustrating when you have a plan and people grab a bowl. Or move flat rock. Every step is so important to creating the first steel tools.

You can save time by switching items instead of putting the item in the nearest empty space.
For examples:
Switch the fire bow drill with the leaf.
Switch wooden tongs with the smithing hammer.
kids who finally have hair can eat but if there isn’t enough food, the mom could feed them until she cant in order to save a bit of food.

I think u need to make a beginner guide for farming, smithing, hunting, tailer, clay ing, road building, walls and houses and animal farming,
Each in different video,
And for example in farming do how to start from zero, how to get seeds, different kind of plants to farm, and what u can get from different farm and were u can use it,
And u should not do it in one life time just a bit here and a bit there,
I think thats a lot but i believe u already covered everything in the in pervious videos just need to cut some,

Pretty good starter guide
I often forget to take a basket with me cuz I have a bag. But it's usually filled with food so I have no storage. Also, I feel bad for wearing clothes n stuff made by others if I go explore cuz I don't wanna just waste their work by dying in the middle of nowhere with the equipment lol
I see that I better stay at the town as a newbie but I'm just too curious about the wilderness and don't wanna rely entirely on other players, cuz what if there's an apocalypse for example? There's no town then, no farm, you need to run around to get everything. Or I can get lost too (I often try to go in a straight line if I leave the town to prevent that though). Finding a good place for a village seems to be really important. It needs berry bushes, probably other food source, water, wood, soil, stone, milkweed, etc. nearby...

I keep respawning in the same town I began in 😣 Problem is I'm new and need experience.. this place is too built up for me to learn anything. I want to start from scratch.. like primitive, to get the hang of things and have some challenges to survive. I really don't know how to stop spawning in this same server. I have tried dying and starting over 3 times before giving up. This game is very unforgiving to new people. Kinda wish you can play solo for awhile before joining a village. I know the tutorial had a solo run but you can't stay there forever.
They should put you on servers with people of the same experience level that way you don't feel like a burden to everyone else. I really hope they can make some changes this game has huge potential.
If you live to 60 you will respawn in the same family.
Honestly a big and developed town is the best place to learn, you should have enough resources that you can learn anything you want. If you're still learning and you spawn into a fresh town you're just gonna struggle and starve, and in a fresh town it's almost impossible for veteran players to teach newbies since they gotta focus on keeping the town alive.
You can go back to the tutorial whenever you want, just click the TUTORIAL button on the main menu.

The community for OHOL is generally nice, but slightly creepy, Almost everyone in the game has said “it happens” before, and I wonder how that started.
But one thing I don’t like about the community, is that the in a civilization, theirs either the inexperienced players who can’t teach you, or the smart players who know what they are doing but don’t want to teach you, so they just tell you to do some simple task instead of something that can help the civilization progress.

Ponds refill over time so it's perfectly safe to empty them out completely.

at the 7 min mark, what is the glitch and how is it beneficial?
Berries and berries in a bowl count as two different food items.
As long as you eat different food items (look for MEH and YUM in the bottom left) you get bonus food, which means you need to eat a lot less. If you eat only Yummy foods you'll have to eat ~15 times in a 60 minute life, and if you eat random foods without paying attention to the YUM you'll probably have to eat 40+ times per life.
Where do you find soil?
You can find soil deposits in the green biome, use a basket to bring soil back to camp. Later on you can make compost, but that is a bit more complicated.
How do you join a server on one hour one life, i just got the game and i’m a little confused???
The game automatically puts you on the main server where 99% of people play. If you go to settings ingame you can change the server manually, here's the server list with the addresses - onehouronelife.com/reflector/server.php?action=report

@@unknownlololol138 Ah, that 48 lives thing is something you can completely ignore, it's only there because some people would just spawn as babies and immediately kill themselves which would clutter the town with bones so the dev limited it so you can only get born 48 times in an hour.
