You care deeply for the tiefling paladin, Valour, and so you've devoted yourself to helping her complete her quest - to wipe out the vampire cult that destroyed the temple where she was raised. Finally, today, you were successful. Every last cult member is gone.
That night, you can't sleep. In part because you're injured, something you haven't told anyone. In part because you're starving. You are a vampire, after all. After the intense battle, you need to feed. You stir, open your eyes, and realize Valour is awake and sitting by the fire. You expect her to be happy, but she looks... lost. Why?

Nightshade's notes: First of all, I'm sorry for the cliffhanger! I intend to release the fourth and final part as my next video, so you don't have to be left in suspense for long.
An ASMR community I belong to is having an event for April where everyone works on a series in some way. I have so many series that it would be stranger if I didn't work on any of them, so I decided to focus on one of the two that I'm writing myself, and ended up choosing this one.

After watching edit: aw man this is brutal. Saying all these kind things and healing us knowing that she will probably hate us once she finds out. That cliffhanger is also brutal
I felt genuine pangs of guilt and butterflies of fear when Valour said "Right under my FUCKING nose!" and the utterly confused "Why?" had me tearing up.
I hope our character doesnt follow Valour and gives her the space she needs to process how she feels about a betrayal this deep. When she returns, I would accept whatever her answer is. I hope she senses how remorseful we are about needing to keep a secret like this hidden for so long. If she wishes to kill me, so be it.

part 4 was absolutely lovely, I'm a huge fan of unconventional pairings and characters and Valour is an incredible person, I can tell how much love you put into her!

I appreciate how you kept her conflicted feelings bubbling away just under the skin, unable to be contained yet also unable to reach the surface. Also, when she pulled out the knife, my response was immediate and simple, spoken in a defeated tone and accepting the worst: "Go ahead. Do what you need to do. I won't stop you."

The fact that he waited so long to tell her, made things so much more complicated than it had to be. Who knows what will happen next. Looking forward to the next chapter.
Unfortunately fear does that and I think the listener was afraid of losing the one good thing they had in their life and made they wanted to do some good by making sure she got her revenge. If they had told her earlier she probably would’ve casted them out right away since her hatred and need for vengeance was still raw. Fighting by her side and killing the vampires shows that they aren’t the same as the vampires that took her family.
Listener: my dear… please don’t cry, it’s just my golden heart that makes me feel more empathetic to people, no… please listen.. I’m not evil… no… *crying* what have I done……. *crying* I’m sorry….forgive me….

After all they've been through together, there's no way she could mistrust the listener so swiftly. I would think the listener's actions throughout their time together would speak for itself. Nevertheless, the listener has some explaining to do. Cool audio My Queen! LOVED IT!!!😊💚👍

I cany help but think the listener femt too guilty to refuse the healing and then guikty for letting them hemp them before everything fell apart, the listener must feel like the worst person!

She really did put the vampire in an awful position without having any idea she was doing it. Guilt if they accept her kindness, guilt if they don't... there's no winning! I *think* part 4 will be ready to post tomorrow, so not much longer to wait!

I hope she senses how remorseful we are about needing to keep a secret like this hidden for so long cause i would honestly keep this secret, like what if she sees me as just another one of those monsters and not her friend. If she wishes to kill me, i won't fight this undead guy has nothing else so if she really wishes to end me so be it.

When she said that _"why?"_ I don't think even she knew who she was asking. Did she want her friend to explain? Was she calling out to Apollo? Was it just an empty cry to the universe?

I’m not proud of what i am… it was forced on me in a way, mortals tend to want to live forever and by the time i wanted out it was too late. I would’ve told you what i was soon but after hearing what had happened to your family i not only feared what would happen to me but was ashamed to admit i am a vampire

That could be pretty interesting, because if you take off the amulet that's protecting you from the sun, your memories from before you found it will all come flooding back. And I suspect that if you put it back on, you'd lose all your memories again, including your memories of Valour...
But I'm working on getting part 4 out, hopefully today, so we'll find out what happens in canon soon!

After watching this I couldn’t help but imagine that the listener was forced to become a vampire but that might just be my brain shaping the story into it’s own alternate universe but would love to see it be true though (you don’t have to if you had other ideas or don’t want it’s up to you)
The fourth and final part is already recorded and almost ready for the video editing stage, so there's no changing it now, I'm afraid. But part 2 established that the vampire doesn't have any memories from the time before finding the amulet that counteracts aspects of their vampirism, so you can imagine any backstory you would like for how they were turned! Thank you for sharing your ideas!

I understand why the vampire kept this as a secret for so long she was blinded by revenge and angry I would keep this as a secret too it’s fear that she might smite him and hate him.
Yeah, I agree, it's perfectly natural not to tell someone what you are when they've admitted to hating your kind. I don't blame them in the slightest.

Neither I blame the main character I would be tick that someone didn't tell her what he was, but I bet the vampire was about to tell him and she kept on talking over him which you can't blame him.

I don't know, but it's interesting, don't you think? I mean, here's this paladin with the ability to sense and turn undead, and then the undead doing their best to, uh, not be sensed or turned... I don't know, that sounded better in my head. 😄 But I hope the combination is a good thing!
