Last night, Valour discovered your secret in the worst way possible - you nearly lost control and hurt her. Luckily, you stopped yourself from biting her, but the discovery left her shell-shocked and angry, and she was in tears when she left you. Figuring it was kinder to make an exit from her life, you quickly packed your things and ran away.
It's morning now, and you're ready to collapse. You were already weak from injury and hunger -- you've barely got the strength to lay out your bedroll and climb into it. With your amulet protecting you from the sun, you allow your eyes to close. But just as slumber starts to overtake you, her voice rings through the air...

Nightshade's notes: I do apologize for the terrible cliffhanger at the end of the last chapter! And I do hope this ending makes up for it! I feel very sad to be at the end of this character's journey, but I can't tell you how honored I am that so many people care this much for Valour. She was my DnD character, you know, and because of that, she's extremely close to my heart. Knowing that she's made her way into your hearts, too, well... I'm just incredibly happy and awed. Thank you all so much for coming on this journey with her.

Eventually the vampire can bite her neck because she trust him, but not right now because of her trauma, she hated vampires who killed her family, and ironically she wind up with a vampire at the end.
I want a bonus episode like a slice of life to see where are they now.
I like how the listener didn't have to struggle to explain themselves. She already understood as she was searching for them. Now she can spend the "wrist" of her life with them. Cool audio My Queen! LOVED IT!!!😊💚👍
Yes - however shocked she was, there's no way she wouldn't take time to think deeply about her friend's situation, understand how they think, and come to the right conclusion. She cares very much. I'm glad you enjoyed it! 💕

Love how Valour is talking about letting the darkness corrupt her life before the light crept its way back in, and the last episodes were at nighttime or in a cave, and now we're in daylight. Very fitting.

Nopes. Holy water harms the evil heart. The listener's heart is not evil, he repents his sins, he tries his best to change. And hasn't harmed innocent people.

Awww! I’m happy she saw that there actions while with her proved they aren’t like other vampires. Would be nice if there was a season of this because i would love to see their relationship grow and adapt. Maybe they could hunt evil creatures together from village to village and run into the listeners creator

The subtle change of expression in the thumbnail gave me goosebumps. Thank you for giving us such a lovely ending. She is considerate to a fault and I hope her lover returns in kind. I hope they have the most delicate and devoted of relationships. Perhaps, one day, we could see them as an established couple and have this finale, not so final?

Great script, amazing animation and story art, and fantastic voice acting.
The paladin’s emotions throughout the series were so well done. The trauma, the kindness, the hurt, the friendship, the care, everything! This was a great character with a well done backstory and a hopeful ending for moving forward.
I love how you wrote the listener and portray how they must feel. It is like I can sense the guilt and self loathing through the script and voice acting.
I also love how you wrote the script that it can be read as platonic and have a hopeful ending. As much as I love asmr that ends romantically, I appreciate this type of story.
P.S. thank you for not making us wait to long after the last episode.
I'm glad that she came to terms with the reality of her companion's true intentions. But if I were in the listener's place, I honestly do not know if I could have brought myself to go back with her. It's not that I wouldn't want to, though, but rather because my anxiety would feel impossibly high, and all I could do is have a meltdown. I have almost never had a meltdown in real life, but we all have our triggers.
Listener: my dear… I am sorry for running off crying… I don’t want to be the sorrow of burden. I’m a sad very sad man. You deserve better than this. You had the right to be angry at me. Forgive me, for being a fake friend and a bad person. I am not a good person, I want to be the person who wants to be with you. The person who is in your timeline, your world. Please don’t cry, *hug* you are my diamond… my world and my heart. *Wipe her tears away* I need to hunt I haven’t been able to feed about 2 weeks. No… you know I’m not a monster… you know I won’t forgive myself for hurting you. If I do you will hate me for this… okay… *biting her risk* are you okay?? Here let me treat your wounds. Please stay strong and silent *bandage her wounds and hugs her* it’s not going to be easy… *hug tightly* it’s so good to hug you again… our chapter is just the beginning….

From what I saw, there was a range of expectations for Valour's reactions, so no matter what, there was going to be someone who was surprised. Which is kind of cool, because it means I wasn't predictable! In the end, I just went with my heart for what felt natural for her, and I do hope you enjoyed it, even though it wasn't what you expected. 🩷

Huzzah! The good ending, the sweetest of couples reunited.
I loved this series, really, I did. Not just because it was cute, but because the characters actually felt so real. (Yes, I'm aware of how that sounds, vampire and tiefling, magic dnd world, I'm letting the Great Leap Sideways guide me here, okay?) Them drawing closer felt natural, and the emotions on display when the secret finally came out were legitimate and powerful. This is a big part of why I love fantasy, really, the way of making things feel more realistic than normal life ever could.
I think I could keep rambling about that, but there's no need, when all I came to say was: Nightshade, this was an epic series, and I heavily enjoyed listening. I look forward to what you write in the future, I'm sure it'll be wonderful as well.

Nah not weird, lots of people love the angsty stuff. I'm usually too soft hearted to really commit to it, though. Best I can do is an angsty cliffhanger like the last part or the occasional bittersweet ending. I'm glad you enjoyed it despite that!

Not being Ungrateful I love your vids so much but when Is The Dark Sorceress coming back I wanna know what happens next so bad lol.
So, I have a schedule laid out for the next month, and Dark Sorceress part 6 is on it - but that said, I've never once managed to keep to my schedule exactly. I have to switch things out for more lighthearted scripts when I get close to burnout, and sometimes I just fall behind, or sometimes I get the missing piece I've been waiting on for another audio, and everything else gets pushed back. So I can't give you an exact date, because I'm certain it'll change, but know that I do have it in the works! And thank you, I'm glad to know you're enjoying that series so much!
