    Hey Justin, I know you have something in the works for some new blower combos but give us some videos and keep us up to date. Whipple is making some big noise right now on CZcams and we know the VMP is better, so let’s see it!!!!

    its not stock they shaved the heads for higher compression its almost a 10.1 like a 9.7 i wonder if they used a thick head gasket to compinsate for the higer compression

    $25,000 mods & labor to make an old Mustang GT500 run 9 seconds

    • @midnight347
      @midnight347 Před 3 lety +3

      People have gotten into the 9s on the stock blower with minimal mods. This car was running mid 9s with the old blower at 1024 rwhp it made about 100 more whp on this new setup and you also gotta remember hes shifting his own gears. He was trapping 155 on his old setup that is stupid fast. How much money do you think its gonna take to have a car running well above 150 mph and mid to low 9s with a man stick not the crutch do it all for you 10 speed auto which btw would need to be built at this level to reliable run those times so it isn't perfect either. I'm sure you were throwing shade at this "old"gt500 because "man sum guy on dat dar internet has an 8 second coyote with a 10 speed auto this "old" gt500 is awful man "only" run mid to low 9s at well above 150 mph in the quarter" with a man stick you actually have to know how to drive to run 9s with a man stick the 10 speed does all of it for ya if you can get it to hold together long enough.
      You didnt say anything about the new gt but I could tell based on your sly comments that you're either an ls guy or a new coyote 10 speed auto guy.

      @@midnight347 i hear ya on what you said.i have a 2014 GT500 and would NOT trade it for a new mustang or the new GT500!!

      @@drfaticus ppl just dont get it. They see a couple guys online running 8s with the 10 speeds and turbos and they take it as the rule of thumb like all 10 speeds with a power adder run 8s...um no they dont not even close. The new gt500 is actually limited by its dct I dont think they have fully figured out how to properly tune the shifts where they dont lay over. I like a good old fashioned manual you dont gotta worry about tuning the trans that part of it is 100% on the driver that is why so many people want the autos because most of them can't drive a manual to save their life. I have an 07 bolt on gt500 I am going to eventually do a blower swap and built motor there is no way I would ever consider an auto swap. To me that completely rips the soul out of the car. There are plenty of auto coyotes to buy if you wanna build an auto car 100% for the strip no need to ruin a gt500. It isn't always just about the fastest possible et. And if you can drive you ain't gonna be much slower with a manual anyways. Not enough to matter lol. I would have 10x more respect for someone running 10 flat with a manual vs someone running 9.8 with an auto...even though the auto ran slightly faster it was 10x more impressive running 10 flat in a manual (just an example) because very few people actually have the skill to do that in 2020 and the number that can is getting fewer and further between all the time. I love the old gt500s they were straight up muscle cars and didnt pretend to be anything else and they were manual only so non driving mofos need not apply. I think people get jaded by internet hero runs and hero dyno runs and forget just how fast mid to low 9s at well above 150 is especially when you're rowing your own gears.

      @@midnight347 I agree with all that you said.I dont drag race,BUT i roll race my 2014 GT500,and luv it.The fun factor will always be with the manual,that is a fact!People that have an older GT500 and they put an auto in it,to me the car is RUINED!!!!The new GT500 will never be what the 2013-2014 GT500 is.I understand why FORD put in a DCT,but they should have had a manual as well.

    • @midnight347
      @midnight347 Před 3 lety +1

      GMT yes some people would just rather row their own gears. Not to mention ya dont gotta deal with the tuning side of the trans and if something happens to it it costs ALOT less to replace
